Chapter 8 - Chapter 8:Buggy The Clown (1/2)

The three arrived at the port, where the sea breeze gently caressed their faces, bringing with it a hint of saltiness. Luffy and Zoro stood beside Shin'ya, their eyes fixed on him. Zoro was the first to speak: "So, how are we going to leave this place?"

Shin'ya's lips curved into a slight smile, revealing a confident expression. He clapped his hands together, as if he had an ingenious idea: "Simple, we'll just build a ship! Wood Release, Jet Mini-Sailboat Technique!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than Shin'ya formed hand seals, and a powerful surge of chakra erupted from his body. Immediately after, he channeled the chakra into the ground. In an instant, thick wooden logs burst from beneath the earth, rapidly intertwining to form a massive sailboat.

This ship was three or four times larger than a typical sailboat, with a sturdy and spacious hull, easily able to accommodate the three of them. Even more astonishing was the jet-like device at the stern of the ship, clearly a special design by Shin'ya. This jet could convert chakra into propulsion, allowing the ship to travel at high speeds.

To prevent the situation in the original story where Luffy was famished to the point of dizziness, Shin'ya had also specifically gone to town and bought half a ship's worth of food. This food was neatly stacked inside the ship's cabin, enough for them to enjoy throughout their voyage.

With everything ready, the three excitedly leapt onto the ship. Shin'ya stood at the bow, took a deep breath, and then used Wood Release to create a clone. This clone stood steadily at the stern, continuously supplying chakra to the jet, providing sustained power for the ship.

As the jet converted chakra energy into propulsion, the ship shot out like an arrow released from a bow. In no time at all, the townspeople at the port could only see Luffy and their ship gradually disappearing over the horizon.

After traveling for a day and a night…

The next morning, at sea.

Luffy: "Ah~ I'm so hungry~ I really want to eat meat~"

Zoro gritted his teeth: "You still want meat? You ate two or three days' worth of food in one meal, and you're still hungry? Do you believe I'll chop you to death?"

What Shin'ya hadn't expected was that even with several times more food than in the original story, Luffy still finished it in one meal. Now, Luffy was so hungry he didn't even want to move.

Just then, the lying Luffy suddenly saw a large bird flying overhead. Luffy shouted: "Meat~ There's meat flying! We'll eat it!" With that, Luffy stretched out his arms, grabbed the big bird's feet, and "whoosh"—he flew straight up, landing right inside the big bird's mouth.

Luffy: "Help me, Shin'ya, Zoro! I'm going to be eaten by the big bird!"

Zoro looked at Shin'ya: "How did you get tricked onto this ship by this idiot? Isn't this just a trap?"

Shin'ya: "Hahahaha~ I chose to go on this adventure with him myself! Hurry and chase after Luffy, otherwise we won't be able to see him anymore!"

As Shin'ya finished speaking, the clone at the stern supplying chakra immediately increased its output. The ship sped up to an incredible speed, chasing after Luffy, who was being held in the big bird's mouth in the sky.

They hadn't gone far when Zoro saw people swimming in the sea ahead and immediately shouted: "You three up ahead, move out of the way quickly! Don't blame us if you get hit, we're in a hurry right now!"

The pirates in the sea cried out when they saw a ship approaching: "We're saved! We're saved! Big brother on the other side, save us! We were thrown off our ship!"

Shin'ya said: "Stopping the ship is impossible. If you have the ability, climb aboard yourselves. If not, then wait to die."

The pirates watched as the ship showed no signs of slowing down, their hearts sinking. One of them gritted his teeth and said fiercely, "We absolutely cannot let this ship get away, otherwise we'll never be able to swim back to Orange Town! Let's risk it!"

Just as the ship was about to reach them, the three pirates simultaneously exerted their strength, gripping the stern tightly, and then cautiously began to climb up.

After some effort, they finally managed to climb onto the ship. However, as soon as they landed, they quickly drew curved swords from behind them and aggressively roared at Shin'ya and Zoro: "This is a robbery! Hand over the ship quickly! We are subordinates of the great Captain Buggy! This ship now belongs to us!"

Shin'ya looked at the three ignorant pirates, a slight, playful smile curling on his lips. He turned to Zoro and said, "Haha, these guys are quite brave, aren't they? Zoro, are you going to handle them, or should I?"

Zoro replied expressionlessly: "I'll do it."

No sooner had he spoken than Zoro's figure blurred, like a phantom, as he swiftly charged towards the three pirates. In an instant, only a series of "crackle, bang, bang, bang" sounds could be heard.

In less than 10 seconds, the three pirates, who had been so arrogant moments before, now looked like flowers ravaged by a storm, their faces swollen like pig heads, kneeling on the ground in disarray, continuously apologizing and begging for mercy from Shin'ya and Zoro.

Shin'ya squinted at the three, releasing a hint of his aura as the God of Shinobi, and said, "Stay put, or you're dead."

Feeling the pressure on them, the three pirates quickly nodded: "Yes, yes, yes… we'll behave."

Seeing the three behaving, Shin'ya and Zoro couldn't be bothered with them anymore and continued to chase after Luffy.

Meanwhile, in Orange Town, inside Captain Buggy's treasure room, Nami stealthily slipped in and successfully opened Buggy's treasure chest, taking the treasures inside and a map of the Grand Line.

Just as Nami was about to sneak away, she ran into Buggy face to face. Seeing the woman who had come to steal his treasures, Buggy immediately became enraged and ordered his subordinates to capture Nami.

Nami looked at the pirates surrounding her, threw a few smoke bombs at her feet to obscure their vision, and successfully made her escape.

Buggy glared furiously in the direction Nami had fled and shouted to his subordinates: "Chase her! Catch her! I'll make her realize the consequences of stealing from Captain Buggy! I'll blow her up with a special Buggy Ball!"

Pirate subordinate: "Yes, Captain Buggy!"

Buggy: "You scoundrels! Who are you calling 'Big Red Nose'?"

The pirate subordinates ignored the raving Buggy and directly chased after Nami.

Back to Luffy.

After the big bird brought Luffy to Orange Town, it opened its mouth and dropped Luffy. In the air, Luffy also saw Shin'ya and Zoro chasing after him on the sea and shouted, "Hey… Shin'ya, Zoro, I'm over here! Hurry up and come!"

Shin'ya and Zoro both breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Luffy had reached the town. Shin'ya's tension wasn't unfounded; after all, they had crossed over, and who knew if there would be a butterfly effect? What if the big bird had dropped Luffy into the sea? So, they had been moving at a very fast pace, precisely to prevent Luffy from being dropped into the ocean.

Just as the pirates were about to catch up to Nami, Luffy fell directly from the sky, landing in front of Nami.

Nami's eyes lit up as she watched the foolish Luffy stand up from the ground, and an idea immediately formed in her mind. Nami pretended to be excited and ran towards Luffy, shouting as she ran, "Boss, Boss! Did you come to pick me up? I've already gotten the Buggy Pirates' treasure and navigation map as you ordered!"

At this moment, two pirate thugs attacked Luffy. "So you're this thief's boss! Die!" one of the pirates said.

"Gum-Gum Pistol!" Luffy instantly knocked down the two with one move and was about to continue looking for a place to eat.

Nami: "You're so amazing! You can defeat armed pirates without a weapon!"

Luffy: "Ah~ Who are you? We meet again. I'm so hungry right now, I want to eat meat. Do you know where there's a place to eat?"

Nami: "I'm a thief who specializes in stealing from pirates. My name is Nami. I'll treat you to a meal, and then let's work together."

Luffy: "Okay, okay!"

After eating, Luffy agreed to Nami's request for cooperation.

Then Luffy was tied up with ropes by Nami and taken to the Buggy Pirates' headquarters.

Pirate A: "Captain, that treasure-stealing thief is back, and she brought someone with her!"

Pirate B: "That's right, that's right! She's the one who stole it!"

Nami pushed Luffy forward and said, "Captain Buggy, my name is Nami. This guy is my boss. He's the one who ordered me to steal your navigation map, but I deeply respect Captain Buggy, so I secretly tied up my boss and brought him here as a sign of my loyalty. Please allow me to join the Buggy Pirates!"

Buggy said, "Hahahaha, is that so? Welcome to the Buggy Pirates! But, as a condition for joining the Buggy Pirates, you must kill your former boss with the Buggy Cannon! Hahahaha! Men, lock his boss in the cage and bring out my Buggy Cannon! Let our new comrade personally deal with her former boss!"

Then he looked at Nami, grinning sinisterly, "Hehehehe, Nami-chan, you wouldn't dare, would you?"

Nami awkwardly said, "How… how could I not dare? Of course I dare!"
