Generally when making pills, the concoction they make will have impurities in it and they can't draw out 100% of the medicinal qualities of the ingredients they use. Pills have to have a 70% or higher purity to be considered usable by the cultivation world. Obviously the higher the purity the pill has the better its effects. 70% or higher purity is actually not that hard at all, especially for experienced pill refiners so this typically isn't an issue. If the pill refiner is good at their craft they can make pills with 80% purity or higher and if the pill refiner is amazing they can make pills with 90% purity or higher. The effects a pill can undertake with just a difference of 5% is immence especially the higher purity it has, the better effects it will have at an exponential rate. A 95% purity pill and a 100% purity pill are worlds apart. If a pill exceeds 90% purity it can achieve what's known as a pill cloud. Where the pill takes on some small markings indicating an even higher degree on effectiveness that a pill has. A pill with 90% purity and has a pill cloud on it is roughly equal to a 93% pill with no cloud on it. A step higher than pill cloud is pill veins. Which are intricate and obvious markings on the pill that look like internal veins. This increases its quality and effectiveness to an absurd degree so much so that a pill with 85% purity and pill veins it equals a pill at 93% purity pill. A step even higher than that would be the legendary pill conciseness. Where a pill develops its own intelligence and gathers qi on its own. These pills are basically just rumors as they almost never show up in the world at all. In fact they are so rare that some people travel to different worlds just to see one with their own eyes. They are every pill refiners wet dream. So to have a pill that has a staggering 98% purity with pill veins is a once in a life time opportunity just to see one, let alone bet on one.

It was just to much of shock to hear about this pill that many people desperately needed some time to amass their wealth in a quick enough time. Although these people thought they were prepared, reality told a different story.

Guesses and speculations were ripe in the auction house as people couldn't stop talking about it.

A round of bidding then went off again as Gu Zhi was surprised by the price.
"I thought spatial rings could store a lot more for a lot less, why is the ink water tapestry priced so high" he asked Gu Xiao.
"There are several reasons for that, for one, it can store living beings inside a very unique thing that spatial rings can't achieve that has a significant source of value to it. Just imagine a lone cultivator only to find out he's carry an entire squad of high level cultivators in his back pocket. Two, spatial rings usually require spiritual sense if they want to be used efficiently or in battle. Three, due to its element being water people with that element can use it to much more proficiently degree than others can with a spatial device. Finally unlike other storage rings, you can store storage rings inside of the tapestry meaning, one person can carry a whole warehouse of goods from place to place. The best way to put it, is that storage rings are a subspace while the tapestry is a different world. Thus their values are not equal."

Gu Zhi couldn't tell what the host looked like but if he had to guess, with the 5% tax the auction house takes, he bet he would have a wide smile on his face right about now.
