I paced the length of my penthouse suite, the moonlight pouring through the floor-to-ceiling windows as if spotlighting my fury.
Every polished surface reflected my storm—the shattered remains of that accursed flash drive still burned in my mind. They thought they'd won.
Damon Westin, Aria Harper, the doting board, the meddling Maya Lin… all of them. But I would not rest. Not until I dragged Aria down with the weight of her own sins and her twins' lives.
"I can't believe they humiliated me," I hissed to the empty room, voice echoing. "Exposed, suspended, and left to rot. They think they can control me." I ran a hand through my hair, tension coiling in my shoulders. "I will never be a pawn in Damon's game."
I stopped at the window, staring at the glittering city below. Damon Westin—my target—had nearly everything he wanted from me: the board's loyalty, the company's future, even my own compliance.
