"The demons in the rear are retreating!"
"What's going on with them? I've never heard of demons avoiding battle."
"Someone is attacking the demons' flank."
"It must be the natives, right? Let's add fuel to the Burning Legion's fire!" Aiden took the lead, charging out of the Sacred Refuge, wielding the Holy Sword ablaze with flames to hunt down the demons. The others followed.
Faced with these fierce gods, the demons, who had been retreating in an orderly fashion, quickly began to collapse. If the native allied forces hadn't been small in number, the Burning Legion's reputation might have been completely ruined.
After chasing them for over a dozen miles, Aiden and the others finally stopped and encountered the natives.
These native warriors also appeared to be a multi-racial alliance. Most of them were humanoid creatures, including bipedal lizardmen, tiger-men, lion-men, wolf-men, and others, retaining many animal characteristics while also leaning towards humans. However, there were no true humans, elves, or trolls among them, but there were green-skinned creatures resembling goblins, except these "goblins" were as strong as orcs, appearing strong and powerful, far from the short, slender creatures of Azeroth who were best at using their tongues.
Aiden noticed that many of these "goblins" in this world were spellcasters. If the ability to cast spells here still indicated high intelligence, then these otherworld "goblins" were clearly very smart.
Besides these, what attracted their attention the most was another type of creature, the most numerous in terms of pure race: they had grey-green skin and were taller than ordinary tauren, but their muscles appeared slender and firm. They had no hair or eyebrows, and a pair of curved horns—actually more like fangs—grew on both sides of their faces, similar to humans. However, they didn't grow from the mouth, so calling them "horns" might be more accurate.
Most strikingly, they all had four arms, with a pair each at the shoulders and under the ribs.
Aiden couldn't associate this creature with any species he had seen before, but having just witnessed these horned warriors fighting, he had to admire that these guys were truly a fighting race—they were very agile, and each of their four arms had a specific function. Some could fire two bows or muskets simultaneously, some wielded four weapons at once, stirring up a storm of blood and flesh in the enemy ranks, and some held three or four shields at the same time, forming an iron wall, strangling the enemy beneath the shield's spikes.
If these combat skills could still be trained, then he also saw spellcasters holding staves, simultaneously casting frost and fire—even the top mages of Azeroth couldn't do that. He couldn't help but wonder if these special races with grey-green skin had two brains in their heads…
After the "meeting," a person at least twice Aiden's height walked out from the grey-green army, appearing to be their leader. He wore exquisite armor and was equipped with five weapons: a spear, sword, dagger, musket, and staff, making it impossible for Aiden to tell what class this guy was.
He walked towards Aiden, seemingly recognizing him as the leader of the four. He first looked at Kayle behind Aiden with awe, then knelt down on one knee, gently pressing his two right fists to his chest and nodding.
This must be their etiquette, and his attitude was very humble, like a subordinate to a superior, or even a subject to an emperor.
Aiden was a little strange. He bowed in return according to his understanding and guessed that it might be because their previous combat intensity far exceeded these natives, so the natives regarded them as legendary heroes or mythical figures.
"Tas'to, Dyuqo! Nsspy-jakkasu!"
The native leader said something in their own language that Aiden and the others couldn't understand at all.
"Hello, friends, we come from Azeroth."
Aiden said it once in the common language of Azeroth.
The native pointed to his forehead and stared at Aiden: "Asuras? De-Asuras?"
"His pronunciation sounds like he's saying 'Azeroth,' if I'm not mistaken," Khadgar said.
"It does sound very similar, but how could he have heard of Azeroth?" Aiden didn't quite understand.
The native leader suddenly stood up with undisguised surprise on his face. He waved to his troops and shouted another native phrase. Then, a "Great Goblin" with the identity of a spellcaster ran out from the ranks.
The two natives exchanged a few words, then the goblin leaned in and said to Aiden: "Honored guests… people, you, Azeroth, come from?"
"You can speak Common?" Aiden and the others were immediately surprised.
"A little bit, very little, a little bit." The goblin grinned.
Aiden and his party exchanged glances, realizing that they might not be the first visitors from Azeroth to this world.
After some communication, they finally obtained some of the information they wanted to know most, and then returned to the camp surrounded by native warriors.
Although the communication between the two sides was stumbling, Aiden and the others still heard a rough outline:
Two years ago, a "Nobody" from Azeroth visited this planet named "Shirethe" with his wife and children. This "Nobody" called on all races of Shirethe to unite because this world would soon usher in the invasion of the Burning Legion.
Almost no one would believe Nobody's words, except for the "Great Goblin" prophet. The prophet possessed supreme authority among the Great Goblin clan. He called on the Great Goblins to stop the war with the Zodang Empire and actively prepare for war to meet the incoming demon invaders.
The Zodang—that is, the four-armed people with grey-green skin and horns that Aiden saw before him—superficially accepted the ceasefire agreement, but secretly detected that the Great Goblins had been preparing for war, and thought that these green-skinned goblins were preparing to use the ceasefire agreement to paralyze them, so they secretly increased their vigilance.
However, later, the Burning Legion really descended, and it was the Zodang's most powerful emperor, Nordis, who brought them in. After the war broke out, the Zodang were defeated, and the Great Goblins led by "Nobody" became the first army to counterattack the Burning Legion and win a victory. As the war escalated, more and more races and armies joined "Nobody's" command in this great war that affected the entire Shirethe. After a year of hard resistance, they finally stabilized the situation and began to enter a "stalemate" with the Burning Legion.
It was also at this time that the pillar of holy light descended by Aiden and the others using the "Sacred Refuge" was seen by them, so they brought their troops here.
Aiden and the others had similar appearance characteristics to "Nobody," so the Zodang general Nasbir respectfully came up to salute.
And it was precisely because "Nobody" had said that his family came from Azeroth that the Great Goblins of Shirethe learned a little Azerothian Common in order to facilitate communication with "Nobody."
This "Nobody" aroused Aiden's strong interest. Each of the four of them was extremely intelligent. Who couldn't hear the deep respect and admiration in the tone of these Shirethe intelligent creatures when they called "Nobody?"
Although it was said to be a neutral, even slightly derogatory, "Nobody," it clearly referred to a "savior," a "great hero!"
They became more and more curious about the true identity of this Azerothian visitor.
"No matter who he is, this person is not simple—unifying the resistance forces of the entire planet in just two years, and becoming the supreme commander of the native creatures as an outsider, is not something ordinary people can do." Khadgar glanced at Aiden and suddenly smiled, "Speaking of which, you two are really a bit similar, Aiden."
Isn't that so? Aiden also arrived in Azeroth as an outsider, and also revealed the invasion of the Burning Legion, and it also took almost two years to become a leader, a legendary hero, and even a savior recognized by everyone.
"I can't compare to him." Aiden smiled and shook his head, "I have the support of the heroes and people of Azeroth behind me. If I left them, maybe I would be a 'Nobody' now?"
Kayle's lips curled up, but Khadgar laughed loudly: "What a Nobody—haha, but if Lord Alonsus Faol had said that you would become the savior of Azeroth as soon as you arrived, you would never be mediocre. What was that saying? Gold always shines!"
"Nobody!" The Great Goblin, who was temporarily serving as a translator, looked at Aiden admiringly. His Common was not good, and he barely heard Khadgar call Aiden "Nobody," and immediately thought that Aiden was also a legendary hero like the "Nobody" who came to this world, and Aiden's previous performance on the battlefield was worthy of this title.
"Nobody, Nobody!" The Great Goblin gesticulated and said a few words in the native language to the other natives. Soon, the entire native allied forces began to enthusiastically shout in unison:
"Nobody! Nobody!"
Aiden and the others looked at each other. Then burst out laughing.
Half a day later, they finally met that humble "Nobody," and all the previous guesses turned into Khadgar's most incredible exclamation at this moment:
"Turalyon, it's you!"
The human commander who walked out of the tan dome-shaped building also saw the white-bearded mage who exclaimed through the crowd. He rubbed his eyes and exclaimed in surprise: "Khadgar? Why are you here too?"
"Ha, didn't I come?" Khadgar winked playfully, and the two close friends who hadn't seen each other for many years hugged each other tightly through the crowd.
