Chapter 253 - Chapter:0.251:The Moon Enters the Land of Fire

On the following morning, sunlight streamed over the volcanic highlands of Natlan as Jin walked calmly along the road leading toward the nation's borders.

He did not truly want to enter… but he had promised Mavuika, and his decision to keep that promise was stronger than his usual aversion to humans and crowded lands.

Jin carried his usual quiet with him.

His crimson eyes moved slowly, observing the scenery passing around him—strange trees with reddish shadows, flowers with tiny tongues of flame that opened and closed as if breathing, and animals unlike anything he had ever seen.

But he was not surprised. He had witnessed stranger things during the year he had spent in this world.

His arrival in Teyvat had been the beginning of his journey.

He had fallen through a gateway between worlds, and when he arrived… the blessings of Uranus were immediately sealed by his mother Naoko, fearing that the power of the stars would burn him from within before his body fully matured.

Later, he received the element of darkness from Tishara, and he began his first steps toward mastering the concept of darkness itself—still in its early stage, but strong enough to devour anything opposing it.

And for an entire year, he never approached cities nor people.

He remained in the forests for two simple reasons:

1. He hated social interaction. He had lived his whole life in the isolated Rrotchy family palace and was never one to seek companionship.

2. He needed unending training—training in darkness, and in controlling the divine heart implanted within his chest.

And because darkness needed energy to grow, and because this world lacked the moon he previously depended on… he turned to the only place where he found energy suitable for him:

The Abyss monsters.

They were perfect for two fundamental reasons:

Their strength was immense… and their energy was tainted enough to harmonize with the darkness.

Jin hunted them, killed them, and allowed his darkness to devour their bodies until nothing remained.

The miasma inside them—the corrupted energy—was transformed the moment it entered his body into pure divine energy, though the process was slow and exhausting.

And as Jin walked the road to Natlan, his thoughts flowed:

10 units of pure mana = 1 unit of divine energy.

10 units of Abyss miasma = only 0.01 of divine energy…

He knew the reason well.

Divine energy was perfectly pure, its density immeasurable.

Mana was natural energy—but light, lacking density.

And miasma… was corrupted, chaotic, a piece of raw evil that could hardly be refined.

And yet, the divine heart within him devoured anything it was given.

Slowly… but steadily.

Because of that, the pupils of his eyes had turned white with a hexagonal star shape—also due to meditation that allowed him to absorb mana from the atmosphere, or divine energy itself, quietly.

But divine energy resisted absorption because of its density and purity, so he continued relying on mana and Abyss miasma.

Even so, he still remembered his mother's words before he entered the gateway—he could only use the blessings of Uranus for three minutes because his mother had sealed within his body an artificial moon drawn from her own power, orbiting around his divine heart like a moon around a planet.

This would activate only in situations of real danger.

And Jin had never used it, because he was reclusive.

He continued walking, recalling the conversation he had with the old man he met months ago, when Jin pretended to be a "lost traveler" and asked about the nature of this world.

The old man was the first to explain the elemental system to him:

Anemo, Geo, Electro, Dendro, Hydro, Pyro, Cryo.

Seven elements… and seven Archons ruling them.

Only then did Jin understand that this world operated under a limited elemental system—unlike his own world, where concepts and abstractions were the core of everything.

And yet… he never felt he belonged here.

He had come for one purpose only:

To become stronger.

And that desire was what brought him now to the gates of Natlan, the land of sun and fire.

He paused briefly at the border, inhaled the hot air, and said to himself coldly:

"I promised her… so be it."

Then he stepped forward into the land.

Note: As I mentioned, I don't own the names of the characters here because Jin entered Teyvat world.

Note: The story is not the same as the original game's story. You will kick Jane and some other characters, so the story is about 70% different.
