Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The World of Demon Slayer

"You seem quite drawn to my blood, don't you?"

Uchiha Nagi observed the kimono-clad beauty currently bandaging his wounds. She possessed an air of gentle grace and virtue, combined with the unique, reassuring presence of a skilled physician. A woman of striking beauty, yet her aura was even more captivating than her looks—

Beside them, a young boy was constantly swallowing, his eyes betraying an unconcealed craving for Nagi's blood.

The beautiful woman before him, however, though her throat might occasionally work as if to swallow, maintained an unwavering calmness in her gaze from start to finish.

Uchiha Nagi's face was a little pale. The combination of excessive blood loss, the awakening of his Mangekyo Sharingan, and using [Mind Teleporter] to traverse space and time had utterly depleted his chakra.

Mind Teleporter was a technique similar to the Supreme Kai's Instantaneous Movement in Dragon Ball, allowing him to teleport to any desired location. For short distances, it resembled a simple Body Flicker Technique, but crossing dimensions consumed an immense amount of dojutsu power and chakra. Nagi estimated that his left eye's space-time teleportation ability would be unusable for at least a year.

Still, ever since arriving in this world, he'd felt an inexplicable sense of peace—something he hadn't experienced in Konoha. Uchiha Nagi had learned to trust his instincts.

"Yes," the kimono-clad beauty, Tamayo, said with a gentle smile. "Your blood is of a rare type, highly attractive to demons. In fact, you seem to possess the most exquisite quality of rare blood, even more precious than usual. Are you perhaps a new Hashira? I sense that you are incredibly strong."

So beautiful, Lady Tamayo is so beautiful— The boy beside her instantly turned to stone, staring blankly at Tamayo, drool nearly escaping the corner of his mouth. He was the very picture of an utter simp.

"Hashira? Demon Slayer Corps?" Nagi paused. "My apologies, I'm not. I'm merely a wanderer with no place to call home." He was certain now; this was the world of Demon Slayer.

Sigh... It was all his fault. In his previous life, he'd yearned too strongly to go to an anime world, and now, after his Sharingan had awakened, he'd ended up in Demon Slayer instead of the modern era.

But no matter. He had Obito's White Zetsu arm in his storage scroll, and he'd conveniently just lost an arm. Could this be fate?

This time, it was Tamayo's turn to be surprised. She asked, incredulous, "You're not a Hashira? That's astonishing. The impression I get from you is that you're as powerful as a Hashira. No, wait… your breathing is like that of an ordinary person. You're definitely not a Hashira. The Hashira use their Breathing Styles constantly."

Uchiha Nagi smiled faintly. "Indeed, I am not a Hashira. This is my first time in this country. As for demons, I've only heard tales of them; I've never encountered one, let alone a female demon as beautiful as yourself."

Tamayo: "..." Was that a compliment on her beauty?

Tamayo was a little speechless. She had initially assumed he was a new Hashira and had let her guard down. Now that it turned out he wasn't, the situation was a bit awkward. Fortunately, he didn't seem to be a member of the Demon Slayer Corps either, or a conflict might have erupted.

The Demon Slayers were individuals who, upon encountering a demon, would want to kill it immediately. Only the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, Ubuyashiki Kagaya, and the high-ranking Hashira knew of her existence.

Tamayo was the only demon in a thousand years to have broken free from the control of the Demon King, Kibutsuji Muzan. She was also the only demon who could control her urge to consume humans.

No, there was one other—the simp at her side, Yushiro.

Yushiro had originally been a child suffering from an incurable illness. He was the only demon Tamayo had successfully converted using her own blood over many years.

Tamayo's goal was to research a way to turn demons back into humans and then to eliminate Kibutsuji Muzan, the Demon King who plagued the human world.

Tamayo smiled faintly. "Thank you for your compliment. Might I ask your name, sir?"

"Uchiha Nagi."

"Uchiha Nagi? That's an uncommon surname; I've scarcely heard it before. I wonder, would you have any interest in joining the Demon Slayer Corps? I could recommend you."

Tamayo was confident in her assessment. The killing intent, the scent of blood, and the unconsciously emitted aura emanating from him all told her that his strength was at least on par with a Hashira. For such a powerful individual not to be part of the Demon Slayer Corps, but an outsider?

Tamayo was intensely curious about Uchiha Nagi's origins, but she didn't forget her mission. If such a strong person could be introduced to Ubuyashiki Kagaya and join the Demon Slayer Corps, humanity's strength would be further bolstered.

"Doctor Tamayo," Uchiha Nagi said, "could you tell me about the Demon Slayer Corps and the Hashira? I come from a different land and am not familiar with matters here."

He had watched some anime in his previous life, but he knew better than to rely on that information as a definitive guide in this real world. Doing so could lead to a gruesome end—a lesson Uchiha Nagi had learned from his experiences in the Great Ninja War.

Besides, how did a Hashira's strength compare to the ranks in the Naruto world? Jonin? Tokubetsu Jonin? Or perhaps even Kage-level?

"Of course," Tamayo replied. "I will give you a detailed explanation, and then you can decide whether or not you wish to join the Demon Slayer Corps."

Kimetsu no Yaiba—that was the name Uchiha Nagi knew from before he crossed over. But here, it was a real world.

In this world, at some unknown point in time, creatures called demons had appeared. They were incredibly difficult to kill, possessing tenacious life force and seemingly no weaknesses. As long as they consumed humans, they could grow infinitely stronger. And all demons in the world originated from one individual: the Demon King, Kibutsuji Muzan.

After many years, Breathing Styles emerged—a training method that involved honing one's body through specific breathing techniques to gain the strength needed to combat demons.

People began to discover ways to deal with them. First, demons could not appear in daylight, as they feared the sun. Second, decapitating them with a Nichirin Blade could kill them.

Nichirin Blades were forged from a special ore found only on high mountains closest to the sun. When a demon's neck was severed by a Nichirin Blade, it could not regenerate or recover.

Otherwise, even if their necks were cut by ordinary swords, they could continue to fight as if unharmed.

The final method was poison. Demons detested Wisteria flowers. Different types of Wisteria flowers acted as varying potent poisons to them. While the poison might not kill them outright, it could immobilize them until daylight, when the sun's rays would finish them off.

"Interesting," Uchiha Nagi said, glancing at his severed arm. "I agree to join the Demon Slayer Corps. However, I'll need some time to heal. I need to reattach my arm."

"Reattach your arm? Are you also a physician?" Tamayo was astonished, even more so by his claim of reattaching a severed limb. Such medical techniques clearly didn't exist in this world yet.

"Indeed. While my medical skills may not be the absolute best, reattaching an arm isn't a problem for me."

Tamayo hesitated, a slight blush coloring her cheeks. "Excuse me," she said shyly, "but on the day you plan to reattach your arm, would you permit me to observe? If I could learn such a medical art, I could save many more people in the future."

Uchiha Nagi readily agreed. "No problem at all. If you're willing, I can teach you everything I know. However, I have a condition: an equivalent exchange. I hope to learn the medical arts you've mastered."

Tamayo was a physician who had lived for over a thousand years. Uchiha Nagi didn't believe her medical skills would be inferior to Tsunade's. Even though this world lacked chakra, time could lead to profound expertise. Certain specialized knowledge she possessed was precisely what he needed.

This was because Uchiha Nagi planned to transplant the White Zetsu arm he had taken from Obito. To do so rashly, without various tests and experimental data, would be like buying a lottery ticket. After all, Hashirama's cells were even more terrifying than cancer cells...

"Really? That's wonderful! Arigato!" Tamayo stood up joyfully and gave Uchiha Nagi a deep, ninety-degree bow.

So beautiful... Lady Tamayo's smile is so beautiful... Once again, the boy Yushiro transformed into a complete simp, his eyes glazed over as he gazed at his boss.

Just then, a young, energetic girl poked her head in curiously. "Um... excuse me, is he all healed?"
