His target wasn't the mighty Raditz, but the weakened Vegeta.

The series of movements flowed so smoothly they nearly broke Vidir's neck!

Countless fist shadows flew out as golden light penetrated Vidir's body. Power exploded continuously, causing Vidir to scream in agony.
"Unforgivable!" Finally, Raditz delivered one deadly punch. Golden aura pierced through Vidir's body like a sharp sword, penetrating his heart as lingering energy spread, blasting out bloody fragments and cold white bone that reflected light in the golden flames.
Space itself distorted, light flickered, and this punch's force carried through several planets.
Under the bombardment of golden light, Vidir was blasted into the Demon Star, blood splattering and floating in the empty universe. His eyes filled with despair as he regretted showing himself before Raditz of his own accord.
