Chapter 108 - Chapter 108: Apprenticeship

Raditz's sudden appearance startled everyone present. His long, fluffy tail—identical to Tarble's—swayed gently behind him.

The survivors stared at Raditz in shock, their expressions cycling through disbelief and wonder. Such a tail was unmistakably a Saiyan characteristic—the same race as Tarble! Raditz stood tall, his hair cascading almost to his ankles. His aura radiated such power that it made everyone tremble, and he had materialized before them in an instant! It seemed like a miracle!

In truth, Raditz had searched extensively by sensing energy signatures. The western region of the Phaeda system contained numerous planets, and if not for Kado's forces concentrating on Mikado, he might never have located it. Once he identified the planet, Tarble's unique energy signature became much clearer—after all, they were both Saiyans, and Raditz recognized that particular type of life force.

Having not encountered another of his kind for years, Tarble felt the excitement of meeting a countryman in a foreign land. His face flushed with emotion.

Since being sent to a distant galaxy, Tarble had experienced profound loneliness. Fortunately, his naturally gentle temperament had helped him make friends among the aliens. He had abandoned his original mission of planetary destruction and dedicated himself to protecting others. But tragedy had followed him—his weakness meant he couldn't safeguard his adopted world, and many companions had perished under the onslaught of evil forces. Tarble's resistance against Abo and Kado was partly for himself, but largely for those allies who had stood beside him.

Now, all that remained were his wife, Gure, and these surviving exiles who shared his fate. He desperately wanted to prevent more deaths around him, yet the situation grew increasingly hopeless.

They had been preparing for a final stand when, at this critical moment, Raditz appeared.

Tarble's eyes widened, the fierce determination in them replaced by astonished excitement. "You're a Saiyan too! Abo and Kado claimed all Saiyans had been exterminated. I never believed it—and I was right!"

"They're technically correct. After Planet Vegeta's destruction, only a handful survived. Your brother Vegeta is among them. I'm Raditz, his friend. I've come to bring you away from here."

"Brother?" Surprise flickered across Tarble's face. In his memories, Vegeta had always been a proud, talented warrior who never showed even a hint of kindness. He respected his older brother deeply, but also feared that cold demeanor. Never had he imagined Vegeta would send someone to find him.

Raditz continued: "Vegeta is on Earth now, along with the few remaining Saiyans. Let's go—we can take everyone here and leave together."

"But... we don't have any functional spacecraft left," sighed one of the aliens.

"No spacecraft needed. Have you forgotten how I arrived?"

Raditz smiled, and everyone's eyes suddenly brightened with hope. That's right—Raditz had appeared out of nowhere! Could they also vanish the same way?

They looked at him with newfound hope, filled with anticipation.

"Everyone join hands and don't let go. Make sure you're all connected to each other. Tarble, you hold onto me."

"Right!"

They quickly arranged themselves, forming a chain of contact, until finally Tarble grasped Raditz's warm palm.

Could they really disappear and reappear like magic? Everyone buzzed with excitement, some with eyes wide open, eager to witness what would happen.

But Raditz didn't give them time to marvel. He activated Instant Transmission immediately, transporting them all to the planet where Jaco waited.

"WHOOSH!"

In an instant, their surroundings completely changed, startling everyone.

No longer were they enclosed by the abandoned factory walls. Instead, they found themselves amid ruins and barren wasteland—different, but equally devastated, with no signs of life. The brutal destruction that had ravaged this galaxy was evident everywhere, and the desolate scene evoked profound sorrow.

Tarble looked around in amazement: "Mr. Raditz, that technique is incredible! No wonder you appeared so suddenly and shocked us all."

"Ha! It's called Instant Transmission—one of my special abilities."

It felt good to be praised, especially with those admiring eyes. Raditz couldn't help feeling slightly smug.

"Oh, and this is my wife, Gure," Tarble said, gently pulling forward the shy woman who had been standing behind him.

Gure had a round head and petite figure. Her appearance somewhat resembled a Tech-Tech alien—simple but charming. Gentleness and kindness radiated from her. Though her appearance was unusual by human standards, there was something endearing about her.

Raditz and Gure exchanged greetings, while he privately imagined Vegeta's reaction upon meeting Tarble's wife.

Meanwhile, Jaco assumed his official Galactic Patrol demeanor, collecting information from the survivors and preparing his report for the Galactic King.

Tarble gazed toward the distant stars, a resolute light flickering in his eyes that contained swirling galaxies of determination.

His slender frame bore little resemblance to Vegeta's muscular build, but the expression between his brows carried a definite familial similarity.

"What are you thinking about?" Raditz inquired.

"I want to defeat Abo and Kado, but... I can't do it. If only I had my brother's natural talent..."

Tarble clenched his fists tightly. He was painfully aware of his weakness, and his voice broke with emotion.

"What's so difficult about dealing with those two? I'll train you," Raditz offered casually.

This simple statement earned him a skeptical look from Tarble. "Mr. Raditz, while your teleportation technique is amazing, I don't think you can defeat those two. Perhaps you don't realize—Abo and Kado's power levels are comparable to the Ginyu Force."

According to his scouter readings, Raditz only possessed a meager power level of 10,000—nowhere near the Ginyu Force's league.

Comparable to the Ginyu Force? Raditz smiled silently, shaking his head at Tarble. "Numbers are unreliable. Power levels can be controlled at will. A small surge of energy can make a tremendous difference."

"Energy surge?" Tarble looked confused, unfamiliar with the concept.

There was only one way to demonstrate. Another scouter would be sacrificed, but it couldn't be helped. "Watch this." Raditz clenched his fists, his body trembling slightly as he exhaled softly. He mobilized just a fraction of his true power, and suddenly pale flames ignited around him, as if his very being had caught fire.

Accompanied by his pale aura, his energy skyrocketed, and his power level soared exponentially!

As expected, Tarble's scouter exploded instantly. He stood frozen in shock, beads of sweat rolling down his face.

Never had he understood such a technique, let alone witnessed combat power increasing so dramatically in an instant. Raditz had utterly amazed him! Tarble could barely contain his excitement, joy and enthusiasm lighting up his face:

"Mr. Raditz, please teach me! Let me be your apprentice!"
