Thousands of fighters shouted in unison, their synchronized voices shaking the sky. The sound echoed powerfully, leaving Delutha utterly stunned.
Subordinates? Raditz's people?
So he hadn't been bluffing after all! Delutha's Adam's apple bobbed nervously as he swallowed the last of his saliva with a dry mouth, his heart suddenly clenching in fear.
The Yardrat people below were equally shocked. They hadn't expected Raditz to command such impressive forces. Even Master Pybara shook his head repeatedly, finding it incredible. At the same time, his pride as a teacher swelled once more—yes, this was his pupil!
Soba and the council of elders exchanged glances, seeing surprise and excitement reflected in each other's eyes.
"Look, your people are here too!" Raditz suddenly glanced upward.
Sure enough, about twenty medium-sized spaceships broke through the atmosphere, streaking toward their position. But what difference would it make? Delutha had already foreseen the inevitable outcome—a few more people to be beaten.
The newcomers halted in mid-air, emerging from their spacecraft. Seeing soldiers in similar combat uniforms, they assumed they'd encountered allies.
"Delutha, you've called so many troops—planning to share some of the spoils with us? Hahaha!" One slapped the shoulder of one of Raditz's soldiers. "Hey buddy, you arrived early? Don't be so cold—we're all on the same side."
Delutha couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry. Who was on whose side? These fools were marching straight to their doom!
"Are Abo and Kado among them?" Raditz asked Delutha, ignoring the newcomers.
"No, no. They're also subordinates of Abo and Kado, just like me."
"I suppose I've wasted my time waiting," Raditz sighed softly. His eyes narrowed slightly as he employed his psychokinesis again, ensnaring all of Delutha's accomplices with an invisible force that pulled them toward him.
While handling dozens of spaceships simultaneously was beyond his current abilities, restraining a few dozen people posed no challenge. With casual ease, Delutha and all his reinforcements found themselves bound by Raditz's telekinetic power.
"What's happening?!"
"Brothers, help us!"
"Hey, Delutha, what's going on..."
Even now, they were addressing Raditz's soldiers as "brothers," their intelligence clearly on par with Delutha's—no wonder they worked together. Raditz gave his troops a knowing wink, instantly igniting their excitement!
Since being conquered by Raditz, his forces had undergone intensive training, quietly building their strength, but they hadn't seen real combat in quite some time. Many were naturally aggressive fighters who'd been itching for an opportunity to vent their pent-up energy.
Finally given a chance, they weren't about to waste it.
Thousands against a few dozen—the odds weren't even remotely fair!
Thus began a horrific display of dominance as Raditz's troops surrounded the invaders and unleashed a barrage of attacks. His subordinates deliberately held back, careful not to deliver lethal blows. They showed remarkable restraint, ensuring everyone behind them got a chance to participate.
Raditz couldn't help but think of an ancient torture method called "death by a thousand cuts."
"It's too brutal!" Soba and the others watching from a distance couldn't help feeling a twinge of pity for the invaders. The more sensitive elders covered their faces, unable to watch the gruesome spectacle.
The so-called aggressors lamented inwardly—they weren't the aggressors anymore; they were clearly the victims!
"Call the police! Somebody call the police! They've gone mad!" One cried out in a tearful voice. Raditz found it darkly amusing that the would-be villain was now calling for law enforcement.
"Alright, that's enough." Raditz didn't want excessive violence to occur on Yardrat, so he halted his troops.
Looking at Delutha and his reinforcements, they were beaten beyond recognition, their forms barely humanoid. They were covered in blood, with broken bones and torn ligaments. Their screams continued, echoing pitifully through the sky.
They had committed countless atrocities; this retribution seemed fitting. Punishing evil promoted good, and Raditz felt no sympathy for these villains.
"Who exactly are Abo and Kado, and where are they now?"
"Tell him!" Thousands of voices shouted in support of Raditz.
The captives trembled, bowing their heads, eyes narrowed in fear as they nervously responded: "After Lord Frieza's defeat, they gathered remnant forces to establish their own empire. They've already conquered hundreds of planets—we couldn't stop their offensive. We had no choice but to seek their protection. Usually, the two are inseparable, staying at their headquarters where we rarely see them!"
Their spirits thoroughly broken, they lacked the courage to lie and readily divulged all the information at once.
Raditz gradually recalled hearing about these twin brothers. Their individual power levels were at least comparable to the Ginyu Force, and they possessed the ability to merge together, making them genuinely formidable.
But in the vast universe, powerful fighters were as numerous as trees in a forest, and the Ginyu-level fighters weren't particularly exceptional. Present-day Raditz believed he could handle Abo and Kado without much trouble. What amused him was how quickly these opportunists had emerged from the shadows once Frieza disappeared, causing chaos everywhere, seemingly unconcerned about Cooler or King Cold's potential reactions.
"So... my lord, we've told you everything. Will you let us go now?" One captive asked, trembling.
"When did I say I would let you go?" Raditz aimed one hand at them, his body radiating power that immediately destroyed their older scouters.
Even the newer scouters displayed astonishing numbers before shorting out.
A wave of energy pulsed outward from Raditz, roaring in all directions, sweeping from land to sea. The Yardrats hid in buildings, watching Raditz with a mixture of fear and awe.
The Yardrat who had scolded Raditz just days ago for a late package delivery now huddled in a corner, his clothing soaked with terror-induced sweat.
"HALT!" A laser cannon fired from the sky, directly toward Raditz.
The beam measured three meters in diameter, bearing down on Raditz with overwhelming force. The moment it struck, Raditz's psychokinetic power formed a protective wall, shielding him completely. The laser cannon collided with this mental barrier for several seconds.
Both offense and defense withdrew almost simultaneously—the laser cannon depleted its energy, while Raditz's mental barrier couldn't be maintained indefinitely. Expanding his psychic wall for extended periods and blocking such concentrated energy consumed tremendous power. Even maintaining it for those few seconds left Raditz breathing heavily.
Who was interfering? Raditz looked up, puzzled.
His gaze fell upon a humanoid alien with an unusually elongated head, riding a small spacecraft hovering in the sky.
The Galactic Patrolman Jaco?!
Throughout the galaxy, there existed an organization dedicated to maintaining order and balance. They shouldered the responsibility of guarding the cosmos, known as the Galactic Patrol.
Their existence preserved peace in portions of the galaxy, though they remained largely powerless against super-villains like Frieza. Confrontations between the Frost Demon Clan and the Galactic Patrol invariably ended with the Frost Demons' victory.
However, in regions beyond the reach of such malevolent forces, the Galactic Patrol still played an indispensable role. They patrolled the universe, fighting for justice and order.
Raditz looked at the beaten captives in surprise. They actually had called the police...
