Obito felt better than ever.
The surging power within him continued to grow and erupt, making him feel stronger than he had ever been. With this newfound strength, he believed it was time to act.
"Our mission should indeed begin. But, Obito..." Black Zetsu hesitated as he listened to Obito, his curiosity evident. "Are you truly alright?"
"Haven't I already said it? I'm perfectly fine now!" Obito clenched his fist, feeling the overwhelming energy coursing through his body.
Truthfully, he was also bewildered. He couldn't understand why he had suddenly grown stronger, or even why his body had miraculously healed. After some thought, he arrived at a possible explanation.
"It's probably due to the Sharingan."
"Sharingan?" Nagato looked at Obito with confusion, while Orochimaru appeared thoughtful, and Black Zetsu's expression turned peculiar.
The Sharingan bringing such a boost? Certainly, the Sharingan could enhance one's abilities significantly, but Obito had already awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. Without a new Sharingan or other means of enhancement, how could his power increase further?
"Previously, I felt a sense of despair deep within me—Ōtsutsuki Minamoto was terrifyingly powerful."
Black Zetsu remained silent as Obito began recounting his feelings. The emotions he had felt were indeed peculiar, bringing back memories of Rin's encouragement in the past, and his current helplessness.
Then, as if triggered by these emotions, the power within him erupted, making him wonder if Rin had secretly helped him somehow. Perhaps she was urging him not to lose hope, to continue striving for a peaceful world.
However, Obito kept these thoughts to himself, burying them deep in his heart as he continued to speak.
"That despair brought about disappointment and pain. And at the peak of those emotions, a sudden surge of power erupted within me."
"Extreme emotions... power eruption?" Black Zetsu was baffled. Was this another instance of awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan? This wasn't supposed to happen unless the Mangekyō's power was triggered by extreme emotional distress.
Could it have activated the power of White Zetsu? Black Zetsu stared at Obito, pondering this possibility after a moment of silence.
Obito was indeed unique, as his body contained a significant amount of White Zetsu cells. The interaction between these two forces might have contributed to the emergence of the "Power of All Things."
Has Obito awakened the 'Power of All Things'? Black Zetsu found the idea absurd, but it seemed to be the only plausible explanation. After all, Obito's injuries had healed—a phenomenon only seen in individuals like Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha.
"What powers can you use now?" After some hesitation, Black Zetsu couldn't help but ask, drawing the curiosity of both Orochimaru and Nagato.
Obito didn't hold back. A massive surge of blue Chakra erupted from his body, forming skeletal ribs in an instant. The Chakra continued to condense, transforming into vein-like patterns. Muscle fibers and lines rapidly covered the structure, and soon, a giant figure emerged.
"Susanoo?" Black Zetsu, Nagato, and Orochimaru immediately recognized the technique, having witnessed Itachi Uchiha's Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation.
But Obito's Susanoo didn't stop there. The Chakra within him continued to erupt, causing the Susanoo to roar furiously. Under Obito's ocular power and strength, the Susanoo grew legs, resembling a towering giant that rose higher and higher!
"Not enough! Far from enough!" Obito shouted, his powerful Chakra surging further.
The colossal Susanoo transformed again, growing to hundreds of meters tall. Armor appeared on its exterior, giant wings unfurled from its back, and the mask of a Tengu covered its face.
"Fix!" As Obito's Chakra stabilized, the Susanoo froze in place.
The enormous Susanoo, standing over 200 meters tall, was awe-inspiring. Its overwhelming strength and destructive aura left Black Zetsu and the others speechless.
"To think Susanoo could reach this level?" Black Zetsu fell silent, now convinced that Obito had indeed activated the "Power of All Things." Otherwise, how could he achieve such an advanced Susanoo?
"Still, this is good." After a long pause, Black Zetsu finally sighed.
Although he couldn't fully comprehend the situation, it was undoubtedly a positive development. With this power, their future plans could proceed more smoothly.
"Of course, it also introduces some unknown complications. But compared to Kitagawa Minamoto and Ōtsutsuki Minamoto..." Black Zetsu watched as Obito deactivated his Susanoo, letting out another sigh. Compared to those two, Obito was hardly a problem.
As Obito approached, Black Zetsu spoke again: "It seems your Mangekyō Sharingan has activated the 'Power of All Things.' Given your unique body composition, this power suits you well for initiating the mission."
"The Power of All Things, huh..." Obito understood what the power entailed. He glanced at Nagato but chose not to say anything, instead nodding in agreement.
"Indeed, it's time to begin. We've delayed long enough because of Kitagawa Minamoto and Ōtsutsuki Minamoto. But now, the situation has changed."
"So, what's your plan?" Orochimaru licked his lips, clearly intrigued by Obito's sudden surge in power.
His curiosity, however, was more about the limits of this power—could it rival that of Madara Uchiha? Still, he refrained from asking directly, instead posing a different question:
"Your goal is the Tailed Beasts, isn't it? The Nine-Tails in Konohagakure won't be easy to handle."
"Hmph, the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki knows the Flying Thunder God Technique—a troublesome opponent indeed." Obito sneered, while Nagato raised an eyebrow, noticing a shift in Obito's attitude.
"We have other ways to compensate for the Nine-Tails. I've already made preparations, so don't worry about it." Fortunately, Black Zetsu interjected, glancing at the group before speaking:
"The Gold and Silver Brothers from Kumogakure once entered the Nine-Tails' stomach. They consumed its flesh and blood, allowing them to use the Nine-Tails' Chakra."
"So, our targets are Kumogakure and Iwagakure?" Nagato turned his gaze back, curious about the plan.
"We also lack the Chakra of the One-Tail."
"The One-Tail is easy to deal with. We can attempt a raid, especially since we have Sasori on our side." Black Zetsu thought for a moment before providing an answer.
"If all else fails, we can retrieve the corpse of the previous One-Tail Jinchūriki. That way, we can obtain the One-Tail's Chakra. However..." Black Zetsu hesitated. If they relied solely on Chakra, he worried about the Ten-Tails' viability.
"Then it's decided. If possible, let's summon the previous Jinchūriki using Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation." Nagato pondered for a moment before making a decision.
"However, before that, we must capture as many complete Tailed Beasts as possible. Otherwise, I fear the Ten-Tails won't be fully functional."
"Alright. I could use some action anyway." Obito glanced at Nagato, ultimately agreeing without objection.
After enduring so many setbacks, Obito's persistence had been fueled by sheer willpower. Now that he finally possessed his own strength, he was eager to take the next step. With this power, he felt confident in facing any Tailed Beast. Even...
"Kitagawa Minamoto. I can handle him too!" Obito acknowledged Minamoto's strength, having witnessed him overpower Nagato. But he believed he could stand his ground. With Susanoo's absolute defense, he was certain he could endure!
"Alright. I'll assign teams and distribute tasks accordingly." Black Zetsu glanced at Obito, worried about his overconfidence. But in the end, he chose not to comment further.
"Additionally, I believe we need to recruit stronger allies."
"Stronger allies?" Black Zetsu's suggestion made both Obito and Nagato furrow their brows, while Orochimaru chuckled without speaking.
"You mean Uchiha Madara?" Obito seemed to realize something, causing his expression to darken.
"Is it necessary to revive him now?"
"It's just Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation. Besides, at this stage, we do need a more formidable figure." Black Zetsu responded directly, deciding it was better to explain clearly.
"Furthermore, as a fellow Uchiha, he can provide you with greater support. With your powers aligned, you can accomplish much more!"
"Is that so?" Obito pondered for a moment before ultimately nodding.
"Fine. Do as you see fit. Summoning him isn't a big deal."
Though he felt conflicted, Obito didn't oppose the idea. With his newfound strength, he had no reason to worry. Even if Madara appeared, so what?
"Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation isn't true resurrection. Gaining some of his experience could be beneficial. Besides..." Obito felt that the power within him hadn't been fully realized yet. He was confident he could grow even stronger. Madara Uchiha? He wasn't afraid.
"The Ten-Tails' vessel is here." Elsewhere, Isshiki breathed weakly, his gaze fixed on the scene before him.
"It seems their goal is to awaken this Ten-Tails. Interesting. This saves me some effort."
Isshiki didn't lack a Ten-Tails, but having an additional one wouldn't hurt. For now, his primary focus was on Obito's situation. Fortunately, Obito's performance exceeded his expectations.
"The transformation is impressive. The 'Kāma' has already activated its power?" Isshiki mused silently, noting that Obito seemed even better than he had anticipated.
"His body underwent some modifications, but these changes are incredibly helpful to me. They save me a lot of trouble."
Isshiki took a deep breath, aware that his lifespan was nearing its end. But he felt reassured, confident that Obito wouldn't disappoint him like Kawaki had. In the future, he could fully utilize Obito's body to return to his peak state!
"Unfortunately, this power isn't yours—it's mine." Isshiki smirked coldly.
"You have no right to wield such strength. But for now..."
"I'll let you enjoy it while you can. After all, you won't have the chance in the future!"
While Obito and the others planned their next moves, Kitagawa Minamoto and his group had already concluded their gathering in Konohagakure.
Looking at the silent Sasuke and Naruto, it was clear they had been mentally rattled by Minamoto's remarks. Even Chōji wore a troubled expression. Minamoto's words had left everyone feeling somewhat perplexed.
"Um, Minamoto-senpai..." As the group prepared to part ways, Chōji hesitated before awkwardly speaking up.
"My family's Secret Techniques aren't shared with outsiders."
"Huh?" Minamoto tilted his head, then broke into a mischievous grin.
"What are you thinking?"
"Huh? Could it be his medicine?" Shikamaru froze for a moment, instinctively blurting out his thoughts.
"I don't think I've heard of it having that effect, though."
"Sigh, what's happening to the education in Konohagakure these days?" Minamoto gave Shikamaru a strange look, then shook his head with a resigned smile.
"What have you all been learning? How did it come to this?"
"..."
Shikamaru remained silent, suddenly understanding why his father had warned him that inheriting his position would be challenging. No, seriously—Minamoto had led them down this path, and now he was turning the tables?
"Besides, if we're talking about your family's deer antlers, aren't they even better?"
"..."
"Why not give them some to try out? See what happens?"
"..."
"Or, maybe save some for me?"
Listening to Minamoto's words, Shikamaru genuinely didn't want to respond anymore. His future boss was proving to be quite eccentric—how did he even come up with this stuff?
"Alright, let's all head home. I'm heading off too." Minamoto glanced at the group, shrugging with a smile.
"We'll all be busy soon enough, so get some rest while you can."
Minamoto had his own plans. Having decided to cultivate White Zetsu, he was ready to take action. Moreover, he was curious about the results of nurturing White Zetsu. If he combined Uchiha and Senju powers into the mix...
Could I create something even more extraordinary than the current White Zetsu? he wondered.
He didn't intend to mass-produce them—he simply wanted to test the best possible outcome. Besides, there were plenty of rogue ninjas in the ninja world. Capturing one of them would allow him to conduct his experiments!
"Minamoto..." Just as the group was about to disperse, Ino suddenly spoke softly.
"Can you walk me home?"
"..."
Minamoto blinked in surprise, his expression turning slightly peculiar. Was this flower truly reaching for the sky?
Turning around, he noticed that Neji had already left with Hinata and Hanabi, who was still pouting and glancing back at him. Shikamaru and Chōji had also departed without looking back, while Kiba and Shino had taken Karin and Sakura with them.
Only Naruto remained, raising an eyebrow and smirking mischievously, while Sasuke occasionally glanced curiously in his direction.
Scratching his head, Minamoto finally smiled and replied: "Alright. After all, the wind tonight is a bit restless."
