Chapter 1 - This time, in this life, I’ll make you fall for me

On the sixth year of successfully marriage with Andrew Feynman, Susan Copper's elder sister, Rebecca Copper, finally came back.

Susan's four-year-old son made a wish in German: "I hope Daddy and Mommy get a divorce. I want Aunt Rebecca to be my mommy."

Turning around, Andrew Feynman handed Susan Copper the divorce papers he had long prepared:

"Let's get a divorce. I'll give you 100 million dollars in return. You'll leave here and settle out of Cali."

Six years of devotion couldn't compare to the three words from Andrew's first love upon her return

Chapter 1:

Valentine's Day was not only the day of romance, it was also the birthday of Susan Copper's son. It marked the Sixth year since she had successfully married her husband, Andrew Feynman.

That night, their son, Sam, made a wish to his father in German: "I wish Mommy and Daddy would get a divorce. I want Aunt Rebecca to be my mommy instead."

Andrew smiled and replied in German, "Your wish will come true very soon."

The "Aunt Rebecca" in his wish was none other than Susan's own elder sister, Rebecca Copper.

Moments later, Andrew called Susan into the room and handed her a document he had clearly prepared long ago.

"Let's divorce. I'll give you 100 million dollars in return. You'll leave here and settle out of Cali."

Staring at the papers, Susan's throat tightened. "Andrew, did you ever love me?"

He didn't hesitate. "Susan, did you forget? You were just a stand-in bride, marrying in place of your sister."

"Now that your sister is back, of course you need to step aside."

Every word hit like a knife to her heart. The light in Susan's eyes gradually faded.

Six years ago, Andrew had been in a car accident and fell into a coma. His fiancée at the time, Rebecca, chose to flee abroad instead of staying. The Copper family, desperate, forced Susan to take her sister's place and marry into the Feynman family.

And Susan, terminally ill at the time, agreed to a magic system's mission: To win Andrew's heart. That was the condition for her cancer being cured.

So she married into the family, willingly. For six long years.

After Andrew awoke, he protected her, cared for her, even flew back from overseas when she was sick. He once even got jealous of their son, asking who she loved more. Susan truly believed Andrew had fallen for her.

Until tonight.

"Sorry. I lost control," she whispered, her voice calm now. "I'll sign the divorce."

Andrew looked at the red rims of her eyes, recalling how she had given up her acting career to care for him, always at his call. Even when she had a fever, if he said he wanted bagels from New York, she would fly to get them there.

His heart softened. "As long as you don't interfere with my new life, I'll take Sam to visit you during holidays."

The heater hummed softly in the background. The room was warm, almost springlike. But his words struck Susan like ice.

Andrew walked out, leaving the door half open. Through the gap, Susan heard her son's excited voice:

"Daddy, my birthday's not over! Let's go find Aunt Rebecca!"

"She plays the violin super well, and she talks to me in all kinds of languages! She even lets me eat ice cream."

"Not like Mommy, who only bakes those sugar-free cakes. I don't even like them."

"Mommy's always too mean. She and Aunt Rebecca are sisters, but why is she so annoying?"

Every word trampled Susan's love into the mud. Andrew just chuckled and said, "Let's go. I'll take you to see Aunt Rebecca."

Expressionless, Susan gently closed the door. They didn't know—Susan spoke eight languages. Every word they said, she understood.

She had poured her love into her son, only to hear him wish for her to be replaced.

The sugar-free cakes were because she worried about his teeth.

He had forgotten, when he cried all night from a toothache, it was her who carried him to the hospital.

When he feared thunder, she stayed up all night telling him stories.

When he had a fever, it was she who stayed by his side, sleepless and anxious.

She gave up everything, her career, her dreams, her passions, just to love them. But six years of love and sacrifice, still couldn't compete with three months of Rebecca's return.

Susan's phone lit up with a notification from her "priority contacts." Only then did she snap out of her daze and glance at the screen.

It was a new post from Andrew Feynman's official X account. #ForThisLifeIWillLoveOnlyOne

Attached was a photo of Andrew gently holding Sam's hand in left, and Rebecca 's in right, the three of them standing smiling before the Feynman's house.

In the six years they were married, Andrew had never once brought Susan to that house. He once explained: "My family elders look down on actresses. They think you don't deserve the Feynman name. I'm afraid you'd only get hurt there."

So for all these years, the world mocked her. That so-called Mrs. Feynman was nothing but a fraud, never formally accepted.

Now, just three months after Rebecca returned, Andrew had proudly brought her there, shared a photo with their child, and publicly declared his love.

The post skyrocketed to #1 on trending.

At the same time, Susan's name was forcibly dragged into the storm. #FormerBestActressSusanCopper, Billionaire Dream Broken!

Susan scrolled through the disgusting, cruel comments. In that moment, her heart finally went completely still. She opened her own X account.

Tagged @AndrewFeynman.

And posted one simple sentence:

#CongratulationsMrFeynmanOnFindingYourTrueLove. Thanks for the 100 million divorce fee.

She had poured everything into loving this man and his child. But if they didn't cherish it, then she wanted to get all back. Five years. It had been five years since she last used that account. Susan closed her eyes and softly called out: "System, I request to leave this world forever."

Three seconds later, a cold electronic voice echoed in her mind:

[According to mission logs, the Host successfully completed her love mission by giving birth to a child four years ago. Request accepted. Host will permanently disappear from this world in ten days.]
