Chapter 53 - "Fia’s Fury!"

-----

-----

Shinku gave Fia a weird look.Beastmen live pretty long lives, but Fia didn't even look like an adult—and she's married?Who the hell married someone that young?

"Beastmen, please move! My people can't hold on any longer!"But now wasn't the time to think about that. Shinku's face was filled with urgency.

They were already exhausted, and now they were getting crushed by a force several times larger. A lot of their people were on the brink of death—and casualties were already piling up.

"Provide support while ensuring your own safety,"Fia's robe fluttered as she gave the order.

"Understood."The Beastmen behind her leapt off the slope like it was nothing, charging at the demon beasts with blinding speed.

"I guess it's my turn now. I better wrap this up quickly and surprise my hubby," Hatsuya Fia muttered softly to herself. Her fluffy tail swished rapidly behind her, and a faint blush appeared on her pretty little face.

As soon as she spoke, Fia suddenly leapt into the air, walking on air as if it were solid ground, and launched herself straight into the middle of the demon horde.

In the blink of an eye, those monsters were completely wrecked—blown to pieces by Fia's tiny fists. She was absolutely brutal.

It was an unbelievable sight: a cute, beast-eared loli smashing monsters ten, even twenty times her size with just her fists. Total violence-meets-cuteness moment.

"Bloodburst? No... she didn't even use Bloodburst, and she still shattered the limits of physics! No—she far surpassed them!" Shinku stared in disbelief at Fia's rampage, unconsciously sucking in a breath.

"Looks like I can't just half-ass things with her anymore… if I do…" The thought made Shinku's head ache. She had originally planned to use Fia, maybe even set her up to die, just to survive herself.

But now that Fia had shown her true power, that plan was out the window. Power talks in this world. That's the reality.

A few minutes later, the entire area was littered with mangled corpses of demon beasts, blood soaking the ground. It was brutal.

On the elf side, ten had died—about a quarter of their group. On the beastmen's side, only a few were injured, some weakened from using Bloodburst.

And Fia? She wasn't even scratched. Her face was just a little flushed from the fight. Though she was splattered with blood, which made her look… pretty intense.

"Hey elves, can you clean me up with some magic? I'm feeling gross like this," Fia walked over to Shinku, frowning as she wiped some blood from her face.

"O-oh, got it." Shinku looked at Fia with a mix of awe and fear, then gave a small nod. After what she just saw, she had zero confidence she could win in a fight against Fia. Honestly, at her current state, her chances of losing were over 90%.

"Hah, guess your forest elf magic is good for something after all. Otherwise, I'd have to find a river to clean up. Can't let my hubby see me looking like a bloody mess." After a water spell washed away all the blood and dirt, Fia gave a satisfied smile.

On the side, the other beastmen started copying her, asking the elves to clean their clothes and bodies with magic too.

The elves looked totally humiliated. Their prideful magic was being used like a washing service—it was disgraceful.

But then again, the beastmen had just saved their lives, so no one really complained. Still, the sting of shame was there. For proud elves like them, everything that had happened recently was just... unimaginable.

Their kingdom had been destroyed. They were saved by beastmen. What a mess...

"You should probably explain why you beastmen saved us. There's no such thing as a free lunch, after all."

"Heh, well, I don't mind telling you straight." Fia looked at Shinku and smiled faintly, eyes shining with pride.

That made Shinku tense up, listening carefully.

"My hubby and I plan to end the era ruled by the War God. For that, we need the power of the forest elves. So, you elves must join our Adia Alliance."

"You're insane. End the War God's era? With that level of power? You really think you or your so-called hubby can pull that off? Don't kid yourself." Shinku scoffed. "Don't forget—both your beastman creator and our elf creator were killed and absorbed by the War God. We're just lower races. How the hell are we supposed to resist him?"

"I know I can't do it. I can't even beat one of his Skywing minions," Fia shook her head, calmly admitting her weakness.

But her expression didn't change. Her crimson eyes sparkled with determination.

"But even if I can't do it, my hubby absolutely can. One day soon, he will defeat the War God and end this insane war between the gods."

"...Can I ask who your hubby is?" Shinku paused, staring into Fia's eyes. The confidence she saw there wasn't fake. It came from deep inside, unwavering. She couldn't imagine who could earn such complete trust from someone this powerful.

"My hubby's name is Riku. He's a human," Fia said slowly, her red eyes filled with affection.

"Human? You mean... a monkey?" Shinku blurted out without thinking.

To all the other races, "human" wasn't even considered a race—more like wild monkeys that bounced around. Especially to the elves, who looked down on humans more than anyone. To them, humans were just literal monkeys.

"Elves… if you dare insult him again, I swear I'll kill you right here and now." Fia's expression instantly turned cold. Her aura exploded as she entered Bloodburst mode, her small hand pressed against Shinku's pale neck. Her eyes glowed red with pure, physical killing intent.

"—!" Shinku instantly broke into a cold sweat. She was terrified. Fia had been hiding this much strength? She was nearly on par with the Skywing kind! And all this rage… over a monkey?

"What the hell are you doing? Let go of Lady Shinku!"

"I knew it! Beastmen can't be trusted!"

The elves immediately erupted in panic and fury. The beastmen, on the other hand, quietly moved closer to Fia, ready to back her up at a moment's notice.

"....."
