Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Storm in the Hotel

After dinner, Lin Fan arrived at a high-end national hotel chain.

His flight was booked for the next day. Tonight, he just wanted to relax and get a proper night's sleep.

Though his predecessor had been an orphan, he was a true native of Modu. The orphanage director had treated him like family—naturally, Lin Fan planned to pay a visit when he returned.

HUAZHU Senior Chain Hotel.

The hotel's exterior gleamed under the city lights, exuding understated luxury. Lin Fan walked through the lobby and headed straight to the front desk.

"Good evening, sir. What kind of room would you like to book?"

The receptionist, a young woman with about an 8-out-of-10 charm, greeted him with a polite smile.

"Your best room," Lin Fan said casually.

Now that he had tens of millions at his fingertips, he had no reason to cut corners.

The receptionist's eyes twitched slightly. Still smiling, she professionally listed the options.

"Our top-tier rooms include the Business Suite, Senior Business Suite, Presidential Suite, and our most exclusive—VIP Presidential Suite. Which one would you prefer?"

"What's the difference between them?" Lin Fan asked, though not because he cared about price.

She patiently explained,

"Each level comes with increasing comfort, services, and privacy. The Business Suite is 5,000 yuan per night. The Senior Business Suite is 10,000. The Presidential Suite is 50,000, and the VIP Presidential Suite… 100,000 yuan per night."

To most people, that was a year's salary for a single night.

But Lin Fan?

He didn't even blink.

"I'll take the VIP Presidential Suite."

The receptionist froze, her smile stiffening for a moment. She thought she'd misheard.

"S-Sir, did you say the VIP Presidential Suite?"

He nodded.

That was it. No hesitation, no bargaining. Like it was pocket change.

The woman nearly gasped but quickly composed herself. "Certainly, sir. May I see your ID and contact information?"

The check-in process was swift. She then handed back his documents.

"Please scan your face on the camera, then show your payment QR code."

Lin Fan paid without a word.

As the transaction completed, his stomach grumbled slightly.

"Do you have a place to eat?" he asked.

"Yes, of course!" she said, perking up. "Guests of the VIP Presidential Suite have access to a private dining room and an exclusive chef. Right this way."

She personally led him toward the private dining area. After he ordered a few dishes, the receptionist left to return to the front desk.

Not long after, another woman walked into the lobby—and the air shifted immediately.

She was stunning.

A tall beauty in a high-slit qipao that hugged her every curve. Her delicate features were enhanced by light makeup, and every movement carried a mature grace. Easily a 9-out-of-10.

"Xiao Su," she called out to the receptionist. "Where's the VIP guest who just checked in?"

"He said he was a little hungry, so I took him to the private dining room."

The woman's expression darkened slightly.

"You're a front desk attendant. Do your job. Once the guest checks in, he's no longer your responsibility."

Without waiting for a reply, she turned and walked toward the restaurant.

She had assumed the VIP must be an older businessman—someone trying to relive his youth in luxury.

But when she saw Lin Fan…

Her steps faltered.

He was young. Dressed in designer clothes. Clean-cut features, confident demeanor. Not just rich—stupidly handsome too.

Was he a second-generation rich kid? A mysterious heir?

There were handsome men in the world, but ones with money and looks? Extremely rare.

Sensing her gaze, Lin Fan looked up from his seat, calm as ever.

The beauty offered him a captivating smile and walked over.

"Good evening, Mr. Lin. I'm Xiao Rou, your exclusive private attendant for this stay. If there's anything you need—anything at all—just say the word."

Lin Fan raised a brow, his lips curling slightly.

"Anything?"

Xiao Rou's smile remained flawless.

"Of course. Hospitality is all about service. Our motto here is: the customer is God."

A smooth answer, perfectly professional—but with just enough playfulness to stir curiosity.

"Then take me to my room," Lin Fan said, standing up and picking up his suitcase.

Before he could lift it, Xiao Rou stepped forward.

"Sir, I must apologize. The front desk clerk is new and didn't follow protocol. Please allow me."

She took his suitcase from him with both hands, her voice soft and sincere.

Lin Fan nodded in approval. This money is well spent.

Great service. Gorgeous staff. Life was good.

He followed her to the VIP Presidential Suite.

The moment they stepped inside, Xiao Rou knelt to remove his shoes and placed them neatly in the cabinet. She then helped him out of his jacket and hung it up with care.

"This way, Mr. Lin," she said, leading him through the suite.

He walked across the warm floor—underfloor heating, of course.

"There's a private office, card room, billiards table, pool, and more. If there's anything else you need, just call me anytime."

She gestured toward the hallway.

"Your bedroom is here, and the bathroom is just beside it. It comes with a custom-designed oversized bathtub."

Lin Fan's eyes glimmered slightly.

Looking at Xiao Rou's subtle smile and elegant movements, he couldn't help but wonder—was she dropping hints?

Well then...

"Xiao Rou," he said, stretching slightly. "I've had a long day. I'd like to take a bath first. Please prepare it for me."

"Of course, sir. Your pajamas are in the bedroom. You may change while I prepare the bath."

Lin Fan changed into comfortable clothes and entered the bathroom.

To his surprise, Xiao Rou had also changed—now wearing a fresh set of silk pajamas that hugged her figure more naturally than the formal qipao. She was kneeling by the tub, checking the temperature.

"Mr. Lin," she said gently, holding a soft towel, "the water is ready. I've adjusted it to just the right temperature."

Then she stepped closer.

Without waiting for instructions, she gracefully helped Lin Fan out of his pajamas.

He didn't resist.

Slipping into the luxurious tub, Lin Fan let out a relaxed sigh.

So this was the life of a true VIP.
