Chapter 12 - Tribunal of the Eternal Eye

Chapter 12 – Tribunal of the Eternal Eye

Kael stood beneath the dimming stars, Zephyra limp in his arms, the black seed of Nihthrae's mark pulsing against the edges of his shadow.

> [System Notification: Void Trace dormant. Threat: Moderate. Instability detected in Temporal Harmony Threads.]

The others gathered around. Elyssari scanned Kael's aura with trembling fingers.

"The Vault Lords know you now. But so do the Eternal Watchers. They'll come."

And they did.

The sky ripped open above the Aetherion Citadel, and a beam of golden light consumed Kael in an instant.

He vanished.

---

The Realm of Reckoning

Kael awoke not on the ground, but within a great sphere of time-frozen starlight. Orbiting above him were six eyes, each a separate will—each a judge. They were the Eternal Eyes, silent overseers of celestial balance.

> [You have been summoned for violation of the Celestial Equilibrium Doctrine. Charges: Unauthorized Bonding of High-Class Deities. Temporal Thread Manipulation. Echo Crown Reawakening. Vault-Breach Contamination.]

Floating in a cage of light before him was another familiar figure: Valen, the former champion of the gods, now a broken relic.

"Heh," Valen smirked. "Welcome to the cage, heir of rebellion."

Kael clenched his fists. "If you knew what I faced, you'd demand I broke more laws."

The Watchers were unmoved.

Trial of Deviation

One by one, each of Kael's bonded goddesses was summoned into the tribunal.

Elowen defended his motives. Seraphyne cried for his compassion. Lilixra smiled, unapologetic for the chaos they'd caused.

Zephyra, still recovering, used what strength she had left to speak of the Abyss-Walker.

But the sixth Eye remained unconvinced.

"You have twisted the bonds of heaven. You carry a void seed. You are a threat to the wheel of creation."

Kael stared it down. "Then you're afraid. Because I did what none of you dared—I faced the Hollow Vault."

> [System Override Option Detected – Invoke Echo Crown Authority? Y/N]

Kael chose: Yes.

---

Echo Crown Invocation: Memory of Lost Tribunals

The light flared. Kael projected memories not just of the recent battle—but of Vault echoes, of a goddess kneeling over a dead world, of himself choosing mercy over domination.

The Tribunal shook.

The Fifth Eye dimmed.

The Sixth flickered.

> [System Decree: Charges mitigated. Conditional release authorized. New Trial imposed: Guardian Pact Activation.]

> [Mission Assigned: Assemble Seven Guardian Sigils – Hidden across Realms of Extinction. Status: 0/7]

The light shattered—and Kael fell.

---

Return and Rising Dissent

He landed back at the sanctum, battered, exhausted. His goddesses caught him.

"You survived?" Aravelle asked, voice unsteady.

Kael nodded. "They don't trust me—but they fear what's coming more."

But not all were relieved.

A portal pulsed open nearby—and a cloaked figure emerged.

A woman with hair like black flame, a crown of obsidian, and eyes of dual worlds.

> [New Entity Detected – Morragwen, Exile of the Shadow Court | Status: Watcher Exile | Intention: Unknown]

"I bring you a choice," she whispered. "Serve the balance—or rule its ashes."

Kael's harem tightened around him, prepared to strike. But he raised a hand.

"No more battles of impulse. I'll hear her out."

Because if the Vault Lords stirred, and the Tribunal was fractured, he would need more than strength.

He would need every secret the universe had buried.
