The Dragon's unexpected behavior left Goku and the others completely stunned. Even before the God who had created the Dragon Balls, it had never shown such respect.
Bulma blinked in disbelief.
"Chiga… are you really a god?"
Uchiha Chiga smiled faintly, not offering any explanation. Instead, he turned toward the Dragon and said in a calm tone,
"I'm searching for a Saiyan named Broly. Tell me where he is. That shouldn't count as a wish, right?"
"Of course not. I am honored to serve you."
The Dragon's eyes glowed a deep crimson, and a resonant hum filled the air before it spoke.
"Lord, he is currently on a planet known as Planet Shammo."
Chiga nodded slightly, his expression thoughtful.
"Planet Shammo… so it's the older version of Broly. A complete and uncontrollable madman."
Raising his gaze again, Chiga said with quiet authority,
"Very well. Bring him here. That is my wish."
"As you command."
The Dragon's power flared once more. A blinding flash enveloped the sky, and when the light faded, a bewildered Saiyan stood before them — Broly.
Normally, the Dragon would vanish immediately after fulfilling a wish. This time, however, it lingered. With an almost reverent tone, it asked,
"God, your wish has been granted. Do you have another command?"
Goku and the others were completely at a loss for words. Only Bulma managed to stammer,
"H-how about making me a little younger again?"
The Dragon glanced at her, then shook its massive head.
"My divine power has been depleted. I cannot fulfill that wish."
Bulma sighed. "Figures."
Chiga chuckled lightly, waving his hand dismissively.
"Alright. You can go."
The Dragon, as if released from a great burden, immediately dissolved into seven radiant beams that streaked across the sky. As they vanished, the heavens cleared once again.
Before anyone could recover from what they had just witnessed, Broly suddenly let out a feral roar.
"Kakarot!?"
Goku instinctively replied, "I told you, my name isn't—"
BANG!
Before he could finish, Broly's fist connected with his face, sending him flying through the air. Goku barely managed to catch himself midair, his vision spinning.
Though he had trained under North Kai and even learned new techniques through other means, his current strength was still no match for Broly's overwhelming power.
The difference was staggering. Even in his base form, Broly radiated an intensity that dwarfed Goku's.
Goku groaned, wiping blood from his mouth. "Man… he's strong…"
Vegeta frowned deeply. The name "Broly" stirred faint memories, but he couldn't recall any Saiyan by that name. Whatever this was, it was another legacy of his father's reckless rule.
Broly's attention, however, was fixed solely on Goku — the one who had cried beside him as an infant, the one whose very voice haunted his rage.
Gohan, furious at seeing his father struck, burst forward with a surge of power. His energy flared as he tapped into his potential and charged like a raging lion.
But before his blow could even land, Broly swatted him aside with a casual backhand. Gohan crashed into the ground, coughing up dust.
Piccolo clenched his teeth and rushed in, his aura burning bright — yet within moments, he too was overwhelmed and stomped into the dirt.
Broly's terrifying display made Vegeta's pride crumble. What cut deepest wasn't fear — it was the undeniable pressure in his very blood. His Saiyan instincts screamed that this being stood above him. When Broly's eyes met his, Vegeta involuntarily lowered his head, humiliated beyond measure.
Fortunately, Broly soon turned back toward Goku. His voice thundered like a beast, "Kakarot!"
Golden energy erupted around him. His hair began to rise, shining with light.
Vegeta could only watch in awe. He'd heard of the "Super Saiyan" legend, but to see it — the golden aura, the shifting power — was beyond anything he had imagined.
Just as Broly advanced toward Goku again, a sudden clap echoed through the air.
Chiga walked toward him, clapping slowly, his tone filled with intrigue.
"As expected of the Legendary Super Saiyan. My efforts weren't wasted after all."
Those words — "Legendary Super Saiyan" — struck Vegeta like a thunderbolt. His entire worldview crumbled in an instant.
Broly growled and hurled a golden energy blast at Chiga. Yet before it could reach him, the blast disintegrated into nothingness against an invisible barrier.
Chiga's expression darkened.
"But you're being impolite."
Golden light flared from his eyes, twin beams slicing through the air. Broly raised his arms defensively, but the beams pierced through his aura, searing holes into his forearms.
Broly roared in pain. His body, capable of withstanding magma, trembled as he glared furiously at Chiga. The agony drove him further into madness.
His muscles swelled, his hair shifted from gold to a luminous green, and the entire planet seemed to tremble. Lightning crackled across the darkened sky as his energy spiraled out of control.
Chiga stood unfazed, golden reflections gleaming in his eyes.
Bulma, trembling, couldn't look away. Yet as she met Chiga's gaze, a strange calm washed over her. His presence exuded warmth despite the chaos around them.
He smiled softly at her. "I'm still here , you know?."
She nodded faintly. "O-okay…"
Broly, now more beast than man, roared again, the whites of his eyes glowing with fury.
"DIE!!"
He lunged forward, fist crashing toward Chiga's face. But Chiga caught the punch effortlessly, his grip unyielding.
A sharp metallic click sounded as two mechanical arms extended from Chiga's shoulders. The palm of one hand glowed with light — then unleashed a blinding beam that sent Broly hurtling backward.
Chiga followed without pause, striking him repeatedly in midair before slamming all four fists into Broly's chest, driving him deep into the ground.
The impact split the terrain. Broly's body sank into a crater, coughing blood before slipping into unconsciousness.
Descending slowly, Chiga placed his foot on Broly's chest and said in a low, steady voice,
"The life energy of the Legendary Super Saiyan… I'll be taking that."
