Seraphina's POV
My hand trembled as I finally heard Lyra's voice on the other end of the phone. After dozens of failed calls, the relief nearly buckled my knees.
"Sera? What's going on? I've been in surgery all—"
"Where are you right now?" I cut her off, my voice sharper than intended. The fear of the past few hours had left me raw.
"I'm at the clinic. Just finished an emergency C-section." She sounded tired but alert. "Why? What's happened?"
"Listen to me very carefully." I gripped the phone tighter, pacing the concrete floor of our bunker bedroom. "Kaelen is sending a car for you. Get in it. Now."
"What? Sera, you're scaring me—"
"You should be scared," I snapped, then immediately regretted my tone. I took a deep breath. "The cult attacked us, Lyra. They came after Rhys. We're in lockdown at a secure location. They know who you are to me—to us. You're not safe."
