Chapter 1 - REINCARNATION

Alex had always believed life would get better.

At 29, he was still waiting.

No parents. No savings. No real friends. He only had a bunch of part-time jobs and no stable income, since he didn't have a proper degree. To live even a slightly human life, he had to keep juggling these jobs. But if there was one thing Alex was good at, it was hard work. He was a tireless worker.

He had grown up in a crowded orphanage on the edge of the city, where survival was a skill learned early. Kindness was rare. Attention even rarer. By the time he was old enough to understand the world, he had already accepted that no one was coming to save him.

Still, he had tried.

Night shifts at gas stations. Dishwashing at greasy diners. Delivery jobs on a half-broken scooter that coughed smoke every time it moved.

And yet… life never gave anything back.

No relationships. No stability. No love.

A 29-year-old virgin.

This morning was different. Special, in the worst possible way. Alex had just found out that because of his years working night shifts near fuel stations, he had developed pancreatic cancer. It was in its final stage. The doctors gave him maybe twenty days—thirty if he was lucky.

He let out a breathless laugh. Not angry. Just tired. After all the struggle to live a decent life, to one day have a beautiful family, fate had decided to laugh back at him.

So, he made a decision.

He would live the remaining days without regrets. No more worrying. No more saving. He would enjoy each second as best as he could. With that in mind, he decided to go to the bank and withdraw the little money he had been saving for a single-room apartment. After all, what was the point now?

[Bank Scene]

As he entered the bank and walked up to the counter to withdraw the money, everything seemed normal—until it wasn't.

Suddenly, he heard people screaming and running behind him. Confused, he turned around and saw a man with a bag and a gun in his hand. That's when he realized why everyone was panicking.

The man aimed his gun at the crowd and shouted, "If you don't stop running and screaming, I'll start shooting!"

Within minutes, the entire crowd had been forced into one corner of the room. Silence fell like a heavy curtain.

Then, a gunshot echoed inside the building, followed by the loud wail of an alarm. The bank guard had triggered the alarm—but he was the one shot.

The attacker held up some sort of speaker and shouted toward the outside:

"If I don't get ten million in cash and a helicopter, none of these people are going to have a good end!"

He was speaking to the police, who had now surrounded the bank thanks to the alarm.

Then, the man turned to a girl—around 19 years old—who was clinging to her mother.

With a twisted grin and a lustful gaze, he said, "They'll probably take time to arrange everything. So why don't we… get familiar with each other?"

The girl's mother screamed, "You'll have to do that over my dead body!"

The man chuckled and said, "Anyone who doesn't like my idea can protest… but you won't like what happens afterward."

And just like that, those who had spoken up for the girl now stepped back quietly, pretending she and her mother didn't exist.

While all of this was happening, I—Alex—saw an opening.

I crawled toward the fallen guard, grabbed his gun, and approached the criminal from behind. Pressing the barrel to his head, I whispered, "It's over. Drop the weapon."

For a moment, it looked like everything had worked.

But fate had other plans.

the thief shoot his chest and the bullet piercing his chest him me and when i was in turmoil he laugh and opened his jacket inside it there was a time bomb and he had shoot his chest where the bombs wire was and the bullet has tore those wiring and bomb was going to explode

My body moved on instinct.

With the last of my strength, I tackled him through the glass window. We crashed outside, and then—

Boom.

An explosion rocked the building. That's how I died.

Or so I thought.

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a pitch-black space. There was nothing. No ground, no walls, no sound. Just emptiness.

Confused, I wondered if this was what death felt like.

And then, a voice echoed.

A soft, melodic voice that carried warmth—and mischief.

"I've watched your journey… and I like it. I admire the courage you showed back there, saving that girl and everyone else, even at the cost of your life."

I replied with a tired chuckle.

"I didn't do it for them. I had just a few days left anyway. I figured… if I'm going to die, why not go out like a hero? I was tired of living a miserable life. That's all."

The voice laughed gently.

"Whatever you say. But I liked it. So I've decided to give you another chance. A better life. And as a reward… I'll grant you one request."

"Normally, after death, souls go into the cycle of reincarnation. But I'll make an exception. You'll retain your memories… and you get to make a wish."

She gave me time to think. I made not one, but two wishes.

She smiled.

"Very well. Both granted."

As my soul began to move, sucked into the flow of reincarnation, I called out one last time.

"At least… tell me your name."

The voice responded with a playful giggle.

"You can call me… the Goddess of Lust."
