Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Outfit Guide - Xuanyuan Festive Garb

The Xuanyuan Festive Garb is the second Chinese-themed Divine Weapon released by Honkai Gakuen, and it is a very good piece of equipment.

The name 'Xuanyuan' needs no explanation; it refers to the common ancestor of the Chinese nation in ancient times, the first of the Five Emperors, the Yellow Emperor. It is said that he was the son of Shaodian and Fubao, with the original surname Gongsun, which was later changed to Ji, hence he was called Ji Xuanyuan. He resided on the Hill of Xuanyuan, was known as the Lord of Xuanyuan, established his capital at Youxiong, and was also called the Lord of Youxiong. Some also called him Lord Dihong.

The 'Festive Garb' originates from when Ji Xuanyuan, at the request of the Yan Emperor, fought nine battles against Chiyou and finally captured and killed him at Zhuolu, uniting the various tribes of the central plains. After the war, Ji Xuanyuan entered the Jiuli region and held a grand Fengshan ceremony on Mount Tai to offer sacrifices to heaven and earth. The clothes he wore at that time were the Festive Garb.

Therefore, the Xuanyuan Festive Garb also holds a certain historical significance, as it represents the ascension of the Yellow Emperor.

(Note: The reason Ji Xuanyuan is called the Yellow Emperor is because after he offered sacrifices to heaven and earth, a great earthworm and a great mole cricket suddenly appeared in the sky, both of which were yellow. Thus, he claimed kingship by the virtue of Earth, and was therefore called the Yellow Emperor.)
