Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – The King: Suspended

Suspension might have been punishment for most students—but for Arsh, it was a rare opportunity.

As they stepped out of the principal's office, the tall boy—the gang leader—glared at Arsh and Luna.

"You'll regret this," he growled, before storming off with the rest of his crew.

Arsh glanced at Luna. "Hey… I'm sorry. You got suspended because of me—and had to fight those guys, too."

Luna gave a relaxed smile. "Don't worry about it. It's just two days. Not a big deal. And these scratches? Barely hurt."

Arsh nodded. "Still… I owe you. I'll repay you for this. Promise."

Later that evening

Sitler's chaotic streets simmered in the dull glow of neon and smoke. While most used suspension as a break, Arsh used it as a mission window.

He stood atop a city tower in his stealth armor, the twilight breeze brushing his coat. The sky was heavy with smog and secrecy. Below, the western district roared with life, but Arsh's eyes were fixed on the industrial ruins.

"Sir," OSAI's voice chimed in his ear, "demon presence detected again in the western zone. Low-tier movement, consistent in the same area. They're trying to mask something… but I can't find any larger anomaly yet."

Arsh adjusted his gloves. "They're up to something. Keep monitoring."

Without hesitation, he leapt from the rooftop. As he dropped, OSAI's anti-gravity tech kicked in, cushioning his descent until he landed silently in a dark alley.

Elsewhere that night

The same gang from school wandered the backstreets, their bruised pride louder than their footsteps.

"I still can't believe that girl beat us," one muttered.

"Wait," the leader said. "Isn't that the guy from college?"

They followed Arsh through the alleys—quietly, curiously.

But then, as they turned a corner—he vanished.

And something else appeared instead.

Figures emerged from the shadows—twisted, growling, and inhuman.

"W-what the hell are those?!"

One of the demons licked its jagged teeth. "Dinner."

"Run!" the gang leader shouted, but their way back was blocked by more creatures.

"We're dead…" one of the boys whispered, paralyzed with fear.

"Sir," OSAI's voice buzzed. "Demonic energy detected—same backstreet zone. Four humans also present."

"I already scanned that area," Arsh said. "Are you sure?"

"Positive. No major anomaly, but energy spike confirmed."

"Alright, I'm moving."

Arsh activated his mask and launched toward the location.

Within moments, he landed in front of the terrified gang and stared down the demons.

"OSAI—analyze them."

"All fourth-tier Gluttony demons. Five targets. Moderate threat."

Arsh cracked his neck. "OSAI, send swords."

A drone descended, delivering two sleek katanas into Arsh's waiting hands.

"Oh look, now there's five of us and five of them," the demon boss chuckled. "Perfect meal."

"No dinner tonight," Arsh said calmly.

In seconds, the alley filled with flashes of steel and shrieks. When it fell silent, the demons were nothing more than ash.

The gang stared in shock.

"They… they were fourth-tier demons," one said, trembling. "Only Seven people in the world can defeat them. And you're not one of the three I've heard of."

The leader squinted. "Wait… your shirt… are you—?"

Arsh removed his mask.

"No way… You're King Arsh?!"

"You've got sharp eyes," Arsh said. "And you didn't give up, even when it was hopeless. That's rare."

"Sir," OSAI interrupted. "This young man is Ainz Frost—son of Sitler's mayor."

Arsh turned to him. "Your name?"

"Ainz. Ainz Frost," he answered, bowing slightly.

"Well then, Ainz. I'll let you go—but only if you promise not to reveal my identity. And take it easy at college."

Arsh turned and disappeared into the darkness.

Later that night

When Arsh returned to his dorm, he found Ainz waiting at the gate.

"What now?" Arsh asked.

"I want you to teach me," Ainz said, stepping forward. "Please… teach me how to fight demons."

Arsh raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

Ainz took a breath.

"When I was thirteen, demons killed my mother. I froze—I couldn't even blink. My father saved me, but the fear never left. I've trained hard since then… I thought I was strong. But today? I couldn't even move. I want to protect the people I care about. I can't keep living like this."

Arsh folded his arms. "And what do you have to offer?"

"My wealth. My car. My position. Even my life," Ainz replied without hesitation.

Arsh smirked. "I have more money than you can imagine. I don't need your car. And presidents bow to me. The only thing you can give me… is loyalty. Absolute loyalty. Can you give me that?"

Ainz dropped to one knee.

"I, Ainz Frost, swear my eternal loyalty to you—my king, my master, Lord Arsh. I will never disappoint you. Not until my last breath."

Arsh nodded.

"Then from this moment on, you're one of my soldiers. And my student. Rest well. Because when the sun rises… your training begins. I will make you the eighth strongest being in this world."
