Chapter 2 - Farewell Emperor

"You monster…" David murmured, his gaze flicking from the terrified archer to Caesar.

"Right on time… David." Caesar began to smirk, a dark satisfaction spreading across his features as he finally faced his former ally.

-------

The cold wind howled around them as the two men stood frozen, locked in a fierce stare. All around them, the cries of the wounded faded, replaced only by the ragged breathing of those still alive.

"Caesar, you may think you're unstoppable," David said, his voice sharp as steel, "but all I see is an egotistical bastard who's never faced someone your size . You're strong, sure—but you are not beyond death."

Caesar's smug smile didn't waver as David's words hit him. "Is that so?" he said, calm and fearless.

"You had your chance, Caesar. I'm going to make you suffer right here and now. This is the price for underestimating me."

"Then try me"

....

A deep silence settled, erasing the final sounds of their conversation. The two men, no longer hiding anything, locked their eyes even more. As their eyes locked, the chaos of the world around them seemed to vanish, leaving only the fierce silence between them.

The atmosphere grew denser, almost crackling with tension. Both warriors tightened their grip on the hilt of their weapons. David's eyes still fixed on Caesar narrowed into slits as his golden spear in his grip glinted. He took a slow, deep breath and then suddenly lunge toward Caesar.

THUD!

[ Solaris's Spear: Solar Thrust ] David muttered.

FWOOSH!

David became a streak of light, exploding forward as he unleashed a lightning-fast, pinpoint thrust that pierced the air like a searing lance of pure light, blazing a scorching trail straight towards Caesar.

CLANG!!

Caesar, quick to react, deflected the strike with his sword. But David didn't relent—he pressed on, refusing to give Caesar even a moment's rest.

[SOLARIS SPEAR : CORONA STRIKE]

David's spear moved in a wide, blazing arc—each movement precise and powerful, designed to overwhelm Caesar's defenses with speed and force.

CLANG-CLANG-CLANG!!

Caesar deflected the strike with a sharp twist of his blade, steel screaming against steel. But David was relentless. He surged forward again, his spear a blur as he launched strike after strike—each faster and more precise than the last, giving Caesar no time to breathe.

[Solaris Spear : Radiant Barrage!]

FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH!FWOOSH-FWOOSH-FWOOSH!

With a sharp breath, David shifted his stance and unleashed a flurry of jabs and thrusts, each one flowing into the next like a deadly dance. The spear became an extension of his will—relentless, blinding, and impossible to predict.

But Caesar held his ground.

He weaved between the strikes with razor-thin margins, his sword moving with calculated grace—parrying, deflecting, sidestepping. Sparks flew with every clash as his blade met David's spear again and again. His eyes stayed locked on David's, calm and unreadable, as if he'd seen this technique a hundred times before.

Still, David didn't stop. He couldn't afford to.

"This bastard... why won't he get hit?!"

David thought as frustration began flashing behind his focused eyes. Every strike was perfect, every angle calculated—but Caesar slipped through it all like smoke through fingers.

CLANG! — THUD!

Caesar was starting to grow tired of defending.

With a flash of steel and a shift in stance, he stopped deflecting—and started striking back.

His blade moved with sudden violence, no longer passive but precise and deadly. He parried one final thrust from David's spear, then drove forward, launching a kick in his abdomen. forcing David onto the back foot.

With no hesitation, Caesar's blade flashed, a blinding slash cutting straight for David's neck.

SWOOSSH!

"Shit!" David hissed, eyes widening.

Caesar had recovered faster than expected.

[Solaris Spear : Vanguard!]

CLANG!!!!!

Agitated and off-balance, David scrambled to raise his spear—just in time to block the incoming deadly strike.

Desperate, David gritted his teeth and lunged forward.

[Solaris Spear: Radiant Barrage!]

FWOOSH—FWOOSH—FWOOSH—CLANG—FWOOSH—CLANG—FWOOSH! FWOOSH—FWOOSH—FWOOSH! FWOOSH—FWOOSH—FWOOSH—CLANG—FWOOSH—CLANG—CLANG-FWOOSH!!

David yelled, unleashing a furious flurry of jabs and thrusts—this time more desperate, hoping to regain his momentum.

His spear became a blur, striking fast and hard, each attack aimed to break through Caesar's defenses and attacks and turn the tide of the fight in his favor.

The air hummed with the furious rhythm of spear strikes and sword clashes, each sharp clang echoing the fierce battle between David and Caesar. Sparks flew more intensely where steel met steel, as the relentless barrage filled the silence with thunderous energy.

The clash was fast—unbelievably fast. To an untrained eye, it was impossible to follow— a whirlwind of deadly strikes, each powerful enough to kill anyone who came near.

The remaining soldiers who watched the battle never dared to step forward. They knew that joining in would be nothing short of a death sentence.

All of them stood frozen, watching in awe as the fierce fight between David and Caesar raged on without pause.

As the attack continued, David quickened his pace, striking faster to catch Caesar off guard.

FWOOSH—FWOOSH—FWOOSH—CLANG—FWOOSH—FWOOSH—FWOOSH—CLANG!!

Noticing Caesar's weapon falter, David didn't hesitate. He seized the moment, pressing his attack with renewed fury.

[Solaris Spear : Ignis Pierce!]

VWOOSHHHHHH!!!!!

David shouted, driving his spear forward like a blazing arrow. The thrust was sharp and deadly, aimed straight at the weak spot he'd just spotted in Caesar's defense.

THWIP—HISS—CLANG!

A sudden thrust shot toward Caesar's exposed side—a strike far faster and more powerful than any David had unleashed before.

The golden spear, meant to be a fatal blow, pierced forward—grazing Caesar's neck and drawing a thin line of blood. He had barely blocked the surprise attack in time.

Both men pulled back, tense and breathless, momentarily taken aback.

"This monster… how the hell did he block that?!"

David thought, frustration rising like a flame in his chest. For the first time, he truly felt it—the gap in their skill. In their power.

And it was starting to shake him.

"To be able to scratch me… I'll give you that," Caesar murmured, his voice calm but laced with icy power. "It's been a long time since anyone's managed even that."

He raised his gaze slowly, a faint smirk tugging at his lips as a predatory gleam lit his eyes.

"But tell me—was that truly the strength of an emperor?"

Angered, David clenched his weapon and his fist tighter

"Stop underestimating me, you bastard! I'll kill you!!"

he roared, his voice echoing across the battlefield like a war cry.

Caesar's grin widened as he heard David's furious outburst.

"Then do your worst…" he said, pausing for effect, his voice dripping with contempt.

"—T. R. A. S. H."

The word landed like a slap, mocking and deliberate, as Caesar's eyes gleamed with cruel amusement.

Something in David snapped.

He didn't hesitate—not anymore. The rage, the pressure, the humiliation—it all ignited at once.

With a sharp breath and a firm stance, David let go of restraint letting his instinct take over. His presence shifted, becoming heavier, sharper—like a blade finally unsheathed.

He was done holding back. It was time to show his full power… and unveil his trump card.

"ILL KILLLL YOUUUU!!!!!" He roared—enraged and menacing—like a beast finally unleashed.

[Solaris Spear : Ultimate Form: OVERDRIVE]

David's eyes burned red, glowing with fury. His body began to twitch, muscles tensing, veins bulging beneath his skin like cords of fire.

The very air around him shifted—his aura turning darker, heavier, more violent. No longer just raw power... but something more dangerous. Something unhinged.

THUD!

He leapt above Caesar, unleashing a relentless barrage of spear strikes that rained down like a storm.

[STARFALL VOLLEY!!]

Afterimages of countless spears rained from the sky where David had jumped, hurtling toward Caesar at an impossible speed.

VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHHVWOOSHHVWOOSHHv-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHH-VWOOSHHVWOOSHHVWOOSHH-VWOOSHH

Noticing the onslaught, Caesar's grin widened—this time not with mockery, but with genuine excitement.

"Now we're getting started,"

he muttered, eyes gleaming as he prepared to meet the storm head-on.

[Oblivion Blade: Crimson Reckoning]

he muttered.

With lightning speed, Caesar swung his blade in a fierce flurry of crimson slashes—each strike slicing through David's barrage like a burning wave. The technique wasn't just defense; it was a deadly counterattack, turning David's relentless assault back upon him with merciless precision.

CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG

The sound of clashing steel roared like thunder, sparks flying as Caesar's blade met David's spear again and again, each parry pushing David further back.

CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—CLANG

With every blocked strike, Caesar's counterattacks grew sharper and more furious—his crimson blade painting arcs of deadly light, forcing David onto the defensive.

David gritted his teeth, refusing to be overwhelmed.

[THUNDERCOIL THRUST!] he yelled

VWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHHHH -

With explosive speed and raw power, he drove his spear forward in a devastating thrust—so fast and fierce it seemed to tear through the very air. The unstoppable strike smashed through Caesar's swirling crimson slashes, shattering the Crimson Reckoning and cutting the onslaught short.

But Caesar stood his ground, unshaken by the force. His eyes narrowed as he muttered,

[Oblivion Blade: Deflection Void.]

With a sharp, sweeping motion, his blade moved like a dark shield—absorbing David's deadly thrust, then twisting fiercely to launch a counterattack.

SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHH

BOOOM!

The air roared with the fierce clash of power as Caesar's counterstrike crashed against David, forcing him back and testing his defenses like never before.

David gave everything he had, blocking Caesar's incoming attack with all his might. But the sheer power behind Caesar's strike was far greater than David's spear could withstand.

With a thunderous force, the blow slammed into David, blasting him backward through the air—midair and helpless against the overwhelming strength.

"It's time to end this, David…" Caesar muttered, his voice cold and steady, eyes locked on his opponent.

"IT'S NOT OVER YET, YOU PUNK! You really think I—one of the very few 9th stage cultivators—would go down that easily?" David shot back, voice fierce with defiance.

"No. It's time," David replied seriously, his voice steady—no trace of mockery.

"Bastard—" David began to yell, but Caesar cut him off sharply.

Time seemed to slow, the air thickening as bits of ash and dust from the impact floated around them like frozen sparks.

In that stretched moment, David heard Caesar's voice cutting through the silence—cold, clear, and unavoidable.

"You see... you're right to doubt me—no one my size has come to challenge me before,"

Caesar said, his voice low and cold referring to the statement David made earlier.

"That's because none have ever reached my level. I've long since surpassed the typical 9th stage—But to honor ,you, the one who has entertained me this far..."

His eyes gleamed with deadly intent.

"I will end you with my greatest strength."

The atmosphere shifted—thickening with an overwhelming presence. A dark, swirling aura began to gather around Caesar, pulsating with raw power.

The very air trembled, and the world around them seemed to warp and ripple, as if reality itself was bending to his presence.

[OBLIVION BLADE: ULTIMATE FORM]

Caesar's voice dropped low—hoarse, serious, deadly. There was something ominous in it that sent a chill down David's spine.

David felt the weight of the danger pressing in, a force so intense he wanted to move—wanted to react—but found himself frozen, trapped by the sheer power radiating from Caesar's final attack.

-[ABSOLUTE SEVERANCE]-

Caesar's face hardened into a mask of ruthless finality, eyes blazing with the cold, merciless focus of a predator at the peak of its power—ready to deliver the ultimate kill.

SWWWWOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

The most powerful slash ever unleashed in this world tore through the air, a blazing arc of destruction hurtling toward David midair at impossible speed.

The very sky seemed to split apart under the force of Caesar's attack. The ground trembled violently, the air pulsed with raw energy, and everyone who witnessed it froze—unable to look away from the terrifying spectacle.

"CAE—!!"

"SHHHNK!"

David yelled, but his cry was cut short by a chilling, wet "SHHHK!" A gurgle followed. He felt a strange, burning cold spread across his stomach. His eyes, wide with disbelief and horror, stared at Caesar, then down at his body, which was splitting apart.

David's body split mid-air, his upper half falling with a wet thud. His lower half stood briefly before collapsing. His spear clattered. Hot blood gushed from both sections, pooling and steaming. The metallic stench filled the air. Horrified onlookers froze as they witness the spectacle.

As David's severed body fell from the sky, Caesar calmly walked forward and fixed his cold gaze on it.

His eyes burned with a mixture of triumph and something darker—an unspoken warning to anyone who might still challenge him.

"Farewell, Emperor… It was fun while it lasted,"

Caesar murmured, his voice low and cold, carrying a finality that sent chills through the air.

Caesar's gaze flickered from David's lifeless body to the remaining soldiers, who stood frozen for a moment before scattering in fear at the sight of their fallen leader.

Calmly, Caesar controlled his breathing, letting the fire in his eyes cool as his excited expression gradually faded into cold resolve.

And as the brief silence settled, Caesar felt a hollow emptiness creeping in. He knew, deep down, that he might never be challenged like this again.

A heavy loneliness weighed on him—the burden of standing alone at the pinnacle of strength.

Just as he began to sheath his sword, sliding it back into the scabbard on his back,

he blinked and then something happened…

"HUH?"

Caesar suddenly found himself in a dark, unfamiliar place. His hands—much smaller than his own—were tightly bound with rough rope.

Before he could react, a powerful thud slammed into his abdomen, knocking the wind out of him.

THUD!!

"Aughh!"

Caesar groaned as the sharp pain from the blow radiated through his body, stealing his breath.

He was slammed backward in the wall by a kick from a towering monster—an unknown beast nearly three times his size. Its mottled green skin stretched over bulging muscles, tusks jutted from its snarling, brutish face, and it gripped a massive, crude weapon that looked capable of crushing stone.

"What the fu—"

But before he could finish, The mysterious monster , Infront of him , swing his weapon towards Caesar.

 SWOOOOOSHHH
