Chapter 33 - Chapter 31: International Response

The Narrative Foundation—an organization once thought was just a humanitarian group—revealed it had enough militarized Emergent technology to outclass whole governments. The world reacted to that fact. Crazy scary transformed existed, and crazy powerful ones. Some good, some bad. Many in the hands of foundation, including one many say as evil in his cannon, only bound by a contract in cannon that makes him do some good things... *cough*, *cough*, Alistor. The narrative foundation was basically the SCP foundation on steroids with empathy, and magical technology based on fictional universes mixed together. While nations struggled, and hyper-funded anything that could hope to get there militaries caught up to the foundation. While the foundation prevented them from catching up in secret. While the foundation, is called by the UN for a summit, and various sanctions, and legal battles are thought. But seriously? The goverments are not going to win agenst a force with several super-intelegent transformed as there highest level planners, and with a spy networks that see all, but they never say they can do such. It would be rude. Worse... there founder... is literally peter capaldi, the 12th doctor, who was a Transformed, and gained not his memories, but his skills, and morals, and more in the process.

The legal backlash was immediate. The UN called an emergency summit. Words like "unaccountable," "extrajudicial," and "sovereignty" were thrown around with increasing venom. But behind every insult was fear. Not only had the Foundation managed to contain beings that could collapse cities, but it had done so with a deeply moral, therapeutic ethos. That terrified traditional powers even more. You couldn't shame them. Couldn't paint them as villains. Not when they were actively saving lives, calming monsters, rebuilding broken psyches. They were powerful and beloved by many. Those who did not were often seen as weird, far too religious or idological, and not open, or conductive by those who did support them. However, there was also fear, even in supporters. What if... they took over? Turned bad? Or became authoritarian?

The UN summit was convened in a swirl of panic and defiance. Diplomats stood at the dais, brandishing documents that accused the Foundation of overreach, private militarism, and the hoarding of advanced technology. Everyone demanded transparency. Some demanded dissolution. They pointed to Dubai and said, "You are meddling in the sovereignty of nations." But behind the podium, the Foundation's representatives—barely more than a handful—responded not with arrogance but with calm. They apologized for the fear, took responsibility for the secrecy, and then quietly reminded everyone that they had saved millions of lives. Stopped Father's ritual. Contained unimaginable horrors. And they did it without requesting a single dollar of public funds.

Then... the foundation did something else. They uploaded headcam footage from there transformed during the Dubai transmutation Crisis. Videos, with no edits, showing healers healing kids, over hours of work. Videos showing superman fighting off Gluttony. Videos of Alistors perspective of the fight with the nowhere king. Many joked "Huh... so this is what replaces movies now that fiction is becoming real?" While other idiots called it discusting to show such... blood, and suffering online. Thou many fought back on the foundations side. They do not share everything thou. Specificly... they do not share any... sensitive footage.

Peter Capaldi... eventually to calm the drama went on stage, and had a speech. "Hello!, yes yes. I am the doctor, and Peter... now... we have serious talk today... Transformation... The Transformed... its not nice. We may gain powers, intelligence, abilities beyond your dreams. But some... become monsters, gain trauma, and weakness. Even... the better off get worse off. I lost... some of my humanity." He holds up his hand, as it glows with regeneration energy. "I will live longer then any human... and... few humans, or transformed will match my lifespan. I lost so much... of Peter in this transformation. Yet... i still feel that humanity. Even now... and that is why i hurt. Every transformation... is a identity crises... a trauma... and yet... many... still cling to morality every day. In a world... where all they see is a alien with two hearts, and a superintelect. That... is lonely. That... is where monsters form. That is why every transformed pains. That is why the narrative foundation formed. To protect the world from pain, destruction, and help it be better. Even if that means being careful. Being... clever. As that is what the good guys do agenst a reality they can't win. They be clever."

He pauses, and chuckles drying "Honestly... a part of myself misses... having a universe, a tardis... and not just a small earth here. But... its the only thing i have left. So i will never allow it to fall to ruin... and i want us all to thrive. So... i say lets make earth a bit... weird." He pauses, and waves his hand "Who ever wanted to be normal anyway!" He stops being professional "Cut the recording, i got a sonic screwdriver to fucking finish. You have any idea how busy i fucking am! I have 281 different research project to overview! Bye! Do me a favor, and don't nuke our private island, it will not work." He walks off the stage.

Alister, Amir Talai watches the smart TV casually in his own little apartment on the foundation's island. He smiles as he sees a video on youtube about a theorist, who just over a year ago, before the emergence, only talked about fiction, indie animation theories, and more. Now theorize about why Alister is acting good, and for the foundation. He finds it funny. But nods along, as the video reviews his hystory. Putting himself into a mental institution after transformation... eventually becoming better, and then the narritive foundation taking over his care. Now they edmit in a information relesse that he is training others on how to handle unstable villan transformed. The tone of the youtuber is slightly unsettled, but eventually says "Given his depictions in hazbin hotel... i do think he is being honest here. He wants power, he is a cannibal, he hates being controlled, and in the story he was controlled by a contract. He was literally a murder. But now... i do think he is at least... a little honest, and... a little... reformed. Thou i would not want to be on his badside!" As the video turned lighthearted—memes of Alistor sipping tea while surrounded by eldritch fire, captioned "This is fine"—he gave a rare, genuine chuckle. "They've captured my better side,"

He shuts the video off. As he thinks of how much he wants those goverments to burn just because they are so horrible at there job. His surroundings shift, and steam with red power. He snaps out of it, in a instant. As he walks over to make some food, and looks at his email on his phone. He hopes his manager will finally allow him to start his podcast! He smiles far... far too wide, creeply. As he reads "Finally! My own radio show..." Then he frowns... reading his email... Vivienne... that woman who made this... charictor he now is. He... feels empity as he clicks on it. Its just... emotional for him. As he is silent. Reading it. "Hey Amir... Alister? I don't know. I'm... so sorry. I never ment for it to be real. I loved it... i love... your charictor... every charictor. The world i made... you... filled out. Can we talk at some point here? I want too know how you are doing." She spent years on that TV show... and now he is real... and a few others. The TV show... her entire carrier... failed. He decides to send her over some money from his cheaks, just to be nice. He shakes his head... the smile on his face... gone. He wonders... he wants more for her. He shakes his head. "Smile deery! Smile because the worlds on fire!" He begins to humm a old timey rag-time tune. As he goes to do some music production. That calms him.. he needs... calm. Calm... the air shifts as if a heat wave. Antlers shift slightly in size. As he goes to work. Smiling inhumanly, brokenly.
