Chapter 205 – The Adventure of Three People

"What?! That brat Yamato went out to sea!?"

On Onigashima, Kaido roared furiously after hearing King's report. The wine gourd in his hand shattered against the ground, spilling liquor across the floor.

"That treacherous fool! The shackles on his wrists were set to explode if he ever left the borders of Wano! Is he looking for death!?"

King remained calm, his tone steady.

"No, Kaido. Lord Yamato's vivre card is still intact even after leaving Wano. That means… someone must've removed the cuffs."

He handed the small piece of paper to Kaido and continued, "In all likelihood, it was that man—Ace. Should I send someone after them?"

Kaido took the vivre card, his face dark. After a long silence, he finally grunted,

"So that brat helped him unlock the handcuffs, huh…"

He turned away, pouring himself a fresh drink.

"Forget it. Let him go. If he never returns, I'll treat him as if I have no son. And if he dares to come back…"

Kaido's grin turned savage.

"I'll beat him within an inch of his life."

King sighed inwardly. If Yamato actually comes back after that, he'll be the real fool here.

Leaving Wano

On the other side of the country, after witnessing Kurozumi Orochi publicly execute Kozuki Momonosuke, Ace and Yamato left the Flower Capital. They traveled to Amigasa Village in Kuri, where they found O-Tama, still just a six-year-old girl.

Remembering his promise to take her to sea one day, Ace decided to bring her along. After all, the future of Wano had grown darker than ever. Even under Tenguyama Hitetsu's protection, life here would soon become unbearable.

On the coast, Tama tearfully hugged her master goodbye.

"Master, I'll be going now. Please take care of yourself!"

Hitetsu's eyes were moist beneath his tengu mask.

"You too, Tama. Out there, you must become a great kunoichi!"

"Mm-hmm! I'll definitely become a charming kunoichi one day!"

"Idiot! Drop the word charming! It's cool kunoichi!" Hitetsu bonked her on the head, shouting.

"Ow—! I get it, Master!" Tama rubbed her head, sniffling, but smiled brightly.

And so, amid a mixture of tears and laughter, O-Tama boarded Ace's flame-powered speedboat alongside Yamato, setting sail away from the shores of Wano.

Journey Across the Grand Line

Ace's speedboat had been heavily modified by Yaqi multiple times. The interior space had expanded, allowing for more supplies and room to comfortably carry three people.

Since the vessel was propelled directly by Ace's Mera Mera no Mi flames, no skilled navigator was needed—just a sense of direction. That gave Ace the freedom to wander the seas at will.

Rather than heading straight back to Sun Island, Ace decided to take Yamato and Tama sightseeing across the Grand Line.

They visited island after island, each with its own bizarre climate and wonders—

❄️ A winter island blanketed in snow,

🌴 an ancient island untouched by time,

⚙️ a mechanical island filled with strange inventions…

To Yamato and Tama, who had never left Wano, every place felt like a dream.

"Hey, you two—there are even crazier places out there," Ace said with a grin. "There's Skypiea, a sky island floating 10,000 meters above the sea, and Fish-Man Island, deep beneath the ocean. Then there's Thunder Island, where lightning never stops, and Night Island, where the sun never rises. The world's full of wonders."

"Ten thousand meters above the sky!?"

"And ten thousand meters below the sea!?"

Yamato and Tama's eyes sparkled like stars. The two immediately grabbed Ace's arms, shaking him playfully.

"Ace, take us there! We want to go to Skypiea! And Fish-Man Island too!"

"Hahaha, not yet," Ace replied, smiling helplessly. "We're pirates, remember? There are still plenty of enemies out there who'd love to see us dead. Until we're strong enough, we can't just go sightseeing anywhere we please."

"Ehhh~ So we can't go yet?" the two whined in unison, faces drooping.

"But," Ace added with a grin, "both Fish-Man Island and Night Island are part of our allied territories. Once things calm down, we can visit anytime. For now, let's head back to Sun Island. You'll see—it's a place unlike any other. Flames that burn day and night, and trees that literally grow sunlight."

"Trees that grow the sun!?"

"What do those flames look like? Are they like your power, Ace?"

"Haha, you'll see soon enough," Ace chuckled. "Oh—and there are a lot of my friends waiting there. You'll love them."

"Friends?" Yamato's eyes softened. "I can't wait to meet them."

To Yamato, the so-called Beast Pirates had never been real companions. Most didn't even know what she truly looked like beneath her mask.

"Will your friends like me too, Ace?" Tama asked shyly.

"Of course," Ace said warmly, lifting her onto his shoulders. "You're too cute not to be loved."

Return to Sun Island

As the three traveled back, Ace told them stories about his crew—the Spade Pirates—and their allies from all races and seas. Each tale only made Yamato and Tama more eager to see their new home.

A day later, the small flame-powered ship finally returned to Sun Island, the blazing heart of the Spade Pirates' domain.

When Ace introduced Yamato and O-Tama to the crew, they were greeted with roaring cheers. The celebration began that same night—and didn't stop until the next morning.

To welcome the newcomers, the crew threw a grand banquet.

For Yamato, it was the first time she'd felt truly accepted among people who called each other family.

And for little Tama, at just six years old, she instantly became everyone's favorite.

The island rang with laughter, firelight, and music—a new adventure had truly begun.
