Chapter 301 - Chapter 301: The Passage of Time

Two figures landed on either side of Hiroki.

"Well, have you two decided yet?" Hiroki looked at the two Kaguya otsutsuki.

The two beauties exchanged a glance and smiled at each other without directly addressing the matter.

"What's with you two..." Hiroki scratched his head, unable to figure out what message they had just shared through their eyes.

Without a word, the three began walking toward the village.

Hiroki tried asking over and over again. He wanted to know what they'd been talking about—and how this complicated love triangle was supposed to work out.

Honestly, he thought it would be much simpler if the two merged into one person. Then they wouldn't have to struggle with such dilemmas anymore.

As for his clones, he'd also been planning to fuse them into one when the time was right—so he could boost his power across the board.

But Kaguya otsutsuki didn't share his view. Instead, they left him with an ambiguous remark: "If you want to keep both of us by your side, you'll have to prove just how capable you are."

"What kind of capability? You mean *that* kind of skill?" Hiroki grinned mischievously.

The two Kaguya otsutsuki shot him a glare.

Kaguya stayed in that place for a while, reminiscing about the past.

During this time, Naruto and Sasuke trained under Hayato and occasionally crossed paths with her.

Each time they encountered Kaguya's haunting gaze, the two couldn't help but feel a chill run down their spines. They avoided interaction as much as possible, keeping their distance.

"Hey, stop!" One day, Kaguya called out to the two as they were turning around a corridor.

Reluctantly, Naruto and Sasuke halted.

Slowly approaching them, Kaguya stared at the pair intently. "Have you found Namikaze Minato yet?"

Naruto hesitated before voicing Sasuke's theory.

"Ohhh..." Kaguya drawled, her expression amused as she glanced between them.

"A thousand years... Do you really think *you* could last that long?"

Naruto and Sasuke sensed the mockery in her tone but could only remain silent.

"How about this then—I'll give you a solution. I can set up a seal on you and release it after a thousand years. How does sleeping through it sound?"

With those words, a subtle yet dangerous aura surrounded her.

At her words, both Naruto and Sasuke felt a jolt of alarm—was Kaguya planning to take her revenge against the Sage of Six Paths out on them?

Kaguya raised her eyebrows, watching their expressions shift, seemingly enjoying seeing the pair as frightened prey caught in a trap.

"The Sage of Six Paths is the one who sealed me away—it wasn't either of you," Sasuke finally spoke, his voice heavy with meaning. "And the Sage is already dead!"

"Please, don't scare the kids, elder," Hayato suddenly appeared from nowhere, chuckling lightly as he dispelled the tension. He stepped beside Naruto and Sasuke, patting their shoulders reassuringly to ease their anxiety.

"Hmph!" With a cold snort, Kaguya turned around. "Don't show yourselves to me again."

Instantly, Naruto and Sasuke exhaled deeply in relief.

Originally, they had been unsure whether to go to that dreaded Realm.

Now, their decision solidified.

They would go!

They *had* to go!

Far, far away from Kaguya otsutsuki!

Kaguya had merely vented some frustration by scaring Naruto and Sasuke. A few days later, she returned to the Ninja World alone.

The moment she returned, she gathered Tsunade, Yugao Uzuki, Yugito, Terumi Mei, and others together, asking who among them would be willing to guard the Pure Land.

"…You won't die, but you will never be free either. You must remain forever in that place of souls' return, maintaining the cycle of life and death within the Ninja World."

After listening to her explanation, everyone fell silent.

Immortality without freedom seemed like a painful and boring experience, and none of them gave an immediate response.

In the end, Izumi Uchiha heard about this matter and volunteered.

She had long grown indifferent toward many things and no longer pursued much in life. She told Kaguya she wanted to retreat into seclusion in the Pure Land.

Kaguya agreed and took her to the Pure Land.

Now let's shift back to Kaguya's perspective.

Among the human race, minor conflicts occasionally arose.

Since Ashura and Indra, two key figures, were gone from this world, there were no major wars or destruction.

This realm continued evolving along its original course.

Hiroki finally understood what Kaguya had implied earlier.

Whether through unspoken understanding or some secret agreement, neither woman entered the other's domain.

As a result, Hiroki ended up living a life constantly shuttling between both sides.

...

Time passed swiftly, and before they knew it, over ten days had gone by.

That day,

High above the Ninja World, three dark figures tore across the sky like three meteors streaking through the heavens.

Their figures were completely different from those of the people in this world—pale skin as white as paper, sharp horns protruding from their heads, radiating an immense aura.

These three individuals were none other than Momo Otsutsuki, Kinshiki Otsutsuki, and Ushiki Otsutsuki—sent here to hunt down Kaguya.

Looking down upon the Earth below, Momo cast a look of contempt and coldly remarked, "The energy of this planet is far too barren. Why would Kaguya stay here?"

Without lingering further, the trio first headed toward the Moon.

Yet upon arrival, all they found were deserted palaces—no trace of life remained.

Ushiki wore a sinister grin as he spoke to his seniors, "These structures don't seem built by ordinary hands. Could they be Kaguya's work?"

Momo ignored him, merely scoffing before beginning to wreak havoc wantonly.

Just then, they sensed a high-energy lifeform rapidly approaching.

Kinshiki immediately grew wary and glanced around, saying to Momo, "Lord Momo, someone's coming…"

Soon, a figure appeared before the three.

It was a beautiful woman with deep, azure eyes and flowing black hair dancing in the wind.

She twisted midair gracefully and landed steadily before them, speaking in a composed and calm tone, "I am the Sixth Hokage, Hinata Hyuga. May I ask where you come from, and what your intentions are?"

"The Hokage? What's that supposed to mean?" Momo sneered arrogantly.

Hinata remained unperturbed.

Her title as Hokage had long become an empty honor, making her the last remaining Kage in the Ninja World.

Because Kaguya had promised her, when she was a child, that she would become Hokage.

Many years ago, Tsunade passed the Hokage's chair to Hinata and set out on a journey across the world, lavishly spending her wealth.

"This territory belongs to the Land of Fire," Hinata spoke again. "Please stop your destruction."

"How did you find us? Was it the ones we saw just now?" Ushiki Otsutsuki asked curiously, looking at her.

Hinata politely smiled and nodded. "Yes."

"Your eyes..." Momo Otsutsuki locked his gaze onto hers.

"Is it because they look like yours?" Hinata continued smiling faintly.

Momo Otsutsuki slightly frowned. "Oh? Does that mean you know about us..."

Before he could finish, Hinata's smile slowly faded. "I'm afraid I'll have to cut this short..."

Before her voice even fully trailed off, a black fissure appeared beside her.

It was precisely the spatial rift all three Otsutsuki—Momo Otsutsuki, Ushiki Otsutsuki, and Ibuki—were very familiar with.

The crack expanded wider and wider, and from within it stepped out a familiar figure.

"Ahh…you must be Kaguya then?" Ushiki Otsutsuki grinned.

Momo Otsutsuki sneered coldly, "Heh, walked right into our trap! Coming here to die? Perfect!"
