Chapter 2 - A Scream No One Hears

As Liam walked down the hallway, he glanced at the door number and muttered to himself:

Liam Carter

"Nice... finally found it."

He stretched his arms and pulled a key from his pocket.

"Let's see what the devil's room is hiding, huh..."

He opened the door slowly. It creaked in a weirdly silent way—like it wanted to scream but had forgotten how. The surface looked old, scarred with what almost seemed like frozen claw marks dipped in dried blood.

But honestly, you'd only notice if you were really looking.

Liam wasn't.

The exhaustion from the trip had wrapped around his brain like a fog.

He gave the room a quick once-over.

It was old—like, grandma's attic old—and definitely needed a deep clean.

But it was surprisingly tidy.

There was a bed, a vintage-looking wooden wardrobe, a giant mirror leaning against the wall, and a second door leading to the bathroom.

Room 666 was barely big enough to sleep, study, and maybe cram three people in if everyone was cool with zero personal space.

Liam looked at the bed—then launched himself onto it like a dead man.

---

Liam Carter

"Hhhhhhh... finally. Some rest."

"Hope I can actually study here. And that the other students aren't total noise demons."

"Nap first. Then I'll unpack."

His eyes slowly began to close...

But behind the mirror, in the shadowed wall—

Something moved.

An eye.

Wide open.

Staring.

Recording.

Everything.

And it wasn't alone.

Three more eyes snapped open across the building:

1. Room 666 – Liam Carter

2. Room 444 – Emi Sato

3. Room 10413 – Zayn Walker (a blonde girl who just arrived)

4. Room 2312 – Chloe Brooks (a sporty dark-skinned guy, been asleep for two hours)

Behind every mirror...

An eye.

---

???

"The count is complete...

Let's see who becomes prey…

And who survives.

Hemhahaha...

Let the game begin."

Suddenly—

The eyes screamed.

Not with sound.

But with something worse.

You didn't hear it with your ears—

You felt it rip through your soul.

It was a scream that clawed at your insides, a scream you couldn't shut out.

---

Liam bolted upright.

Panic. Confusion. Pain.

He stumbled around the room, smashing his head into the wall, screaming, clutching at his ears.

---

Liam Carter

"AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Where the hell is that sound coming from?!

Make it stop! MAKE IT STOP!! F**CK!!!"

He ran like a wild animal, not thinking, pure survival mode.

He smashed into the mirror—

And saw it.

The eye.

Twitching. Pulsing. Vibrating with a sound that wasn't sound.

As soon as he looked at it, the scream intensified.

Without hesitating, he grabbed a pen—

And stabbed it deep into the eye.

The room shrieked like something alive.

Then—

Silence.

The eye shriveled.

Like a moldy fruit rotting from the inside.

Liam collapsed to the floor, panting, shaking, unable to move.

---

Liam Carter (mumbling)

"What the hell was that...?

That eye… it actually screamed?

It's just an eye, goddamn it...

Shit... my head... ARGHH... Feels like it's about to explode..."

He stood up, barely, using the wall for support.

Started limping toward the door—

Then—

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

A girl's scream ripped through the silence like a blade.

Liam flung the door open and sprinted toward the sound.

Room 444.

Emi Sato.

She was pounding the door, screaming, trying to break out.

---

Emi Sato (from inside)

"OPEN!! OPEN!! OPEEEEEN!!

HEEEEELP!!!"

Liam grabbed a metal rod nearby and started smashing the lock like a lunatic.

---

Liam Carter

"Hang on! I'm gonna break the door down!

What's happening?! What's in there?! Talk to me!!"

Emi Sato

"A-a-an EYE came out of the wall!! It's screaming!! I'm dying in here!!

Please, hurry!!

It hurts! It HURTS!!"

Liam Carter

"Don't worry! I'll get you out!!

Do you have anything sharp? ANYTHING?!"

Emi Sato

"Yes!! I have a knife!!

But hurry!! That thing's scream is tearing my soul apart!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

Liam Carter

"I'm almost through!!

Emi—stab the eye!! That's the only way to stop it!!

Do it, NOW!!"

Emi Sato

"Hnnngh! Come on! COME ON!!"

Liam slammed the door one last time and the lock finally snapped.

He shoved the door open and charged in.

The eye was screaming.

Emi had collapsed—passed out from the agony.

The knife was still in her hand.

Liam grabbed it—

And rushed the eye.

One stab.

Two.

Three.

Each one hit fast and hard.

The eye shrieked like it was dying—then wilted like the one before it.

---

Liam dropped next to Emi, both of them lying there like broken dolls.

No strength left.

But no one came.

No one heard them.

The building was silent.

The other students were... gone.

The dorm itself felt colder.

Like the air had turned to ice.

And in the far-off shadows—

A man stood, smiling.

Behind him...

Four twisted silhouettes waited for his command.
