Daniel's POV
It started out as any shitty day in my life. First I woke up and did all the housework, then I made everyone breakfast which I was never allowed to eat because I'm a freak of nature and they my two sisters say I should eat breakfast out side like a bear would. The funny thing about that is that I am a bear, i'm a brown bear and I was born like this when my mom had an affair with someone who would be my "real" dad. Also, I have powers that I use to live my shitty life. My first and favorite power is my healing power because I use it on all of my cuts that my family gives me but there is a down side I can heal my bruises but I can heal others just fine so that's why I'm constantly hurting. My second power is I can control ice and my body temperature is below zero so I can make it in the cold. While I'm working I heard my mom calling me to come into the house so I did. I walked in and my big sister Ashley was crying.
"Is everything ok?" I asked tilting my head slightly as I stepped into the room then my mom stood up and walked to me and slapped me across my face as if I offended her. I don't say anything to her because it will only make things worse.
"how dare you burn your poor sweet sister's mouth with this to hot food you cooked" my mom said as she walked back to Ashley to help her as if she was dying my mom always favored my sister's over me so I'm used too not getting anything in life. But here is the funny part in public they act like we are some kind of happy, normal family but we are not. As the day went on I did all of my tasting till dad got home which I hated the most. I heard the door slam shut and he called my name so I went to the door. He was standing there with some guy who looked like he drove a caravan for people.
"Daniel we are going out somewhere ok come let's go your mom and sisters are already in the caravan." He said as i walked to the thing and got in I sat in between my sisters who were giggling about something or someone which it was probably me they loved to make fun of me all the time. Then an hour later we arrived at this palace thing that looked nice on the outside. It had golden roofs and marble columns that shined as if pieces of the moon were carved into it. Then when we got inside we were in a room full of other people but there were only girls in here I didn't see a single male in here.
"what are we doing here mom?" I asked as she looked at me with a smile on her face which I knew was not good I got this sinister feeling from her as she walked to me and held me in her arms which she never did. I knew something is wrong with this place and I have seen this castle before. Then I realized what we were doing here I remember reading a book about the Gods and how every couple of centuries they would come down to our world and choose someone to come with them, but some Gods did not do this but eventually they have to. So I realize that I'm being sold like a slave by my own family.
