Chapter 1 - Kurogiri Makes Deku a Quirk?

Chapter 1

Deku's Perspective

Kacchan cant just go around telling people to kill themselves what if i actually did it what would he do then.

…muttering to myself

(Sludge villain emerges from the sewers)

I looked down and saw green goo splattered on my shirt. My eyes widened as I turned around—and there he was. The sludge villain.

Before I could react, he lunged at me, grabbing me and suffocating me. I struggled, gasping, my vision dimming. Is this it? Am I going to die like this...?

Then I saw a shape. A voice cut through the panic.

Don't worry I am here!!

All Might? I'm saved...

Then—blackness.

The next thing I knew, I wasn't alone. Four figures loomed over me.

One had pale skin, a disfigured face, and blue-white hair, with a grotesque hand covering part of it. Another was made of swirling black fog. A third, a girl, smiled obsessively, a strange blood-filled contraption attached to her. And the last—he had a burned, patchwork face and cold blue eyes.

I tried to speak, to ask what happened, but—I didn't have a mouth.

I wasn't even solid anymore. I was… mist, like the fog man. Panic rose inside me. I backed into the cold wall of the overpass.

The burned-face man tossed me a notebook and pen.

Hands shaking, I scribbled: "what am I"

The hand-face man laughed.

"A successful test subject," he said.

They told me they'd explain more once we were in a safe place. The girl eagerly introduced herself as Toga ,and introduced the rest of them the hand-face guy snapped at her not to reveal names. Too late. I knew them now:

Shigaraki (hand-face guy)

Toga (the obsessed girl)

Kurogiri (the fog man)

Dabi (the burned one)

I didn't write anything after that. Shigaraki seemed angry, and I didn't want to push it.

Kurogiri stepped in, calm and composed. "Don't scare the new member," he said.

Shigaraki backed off, muttering, and walked away with Toga and Dabi. Kurogiri stayed with me, helping me stand.

"The others can be… intense," he said. "But I'm glad this worked. The failed attempts… weren't even recognizable anymore."

I quickly wrote: "why did you do this to me? what am I? I was just saved my the number 1 hero why?"

Kurogiri answered as we walked.

"You died. All Might failed. And to awaken my quirk, we needed a… dead subject. You were that subject."

His words didn't make sense at first. But slowly, it began to click.

I was dead. And now... I wasn't.

Kurogiri: added "I'm sorry that you lost your quirk"

I wrote "huh"

He frowned. "That's the cost, you loose your quirk but get the warp gate one."

But then I wrote: "I didn't have one"

He paused. "You didn't have a what?"

"I don't have a quirk"

He laughed. "Well—not anymore."

Confused, I asked: "what do you mean?"

He explained: "I had gained his quirk. That's how it worked. A 5% success rate. If it worked, the person would come back to life and would have his quirk after loosing there own with the down side of never being able to awaken the warp gate quirk they got. if it had failed the person would have been mutated beyond recognition and still be dead."

I barely listened. All I could think was:

I have a quirk.

For the first time, I had power. I could matter. I could be someone.

Kurogiri looked back at me.

"Let's go."

And I followed.

Silently, I made a vow in my heart: I would follow Kurogiri anywhere and be loyal till the day I die.
