Chapter 203: Victory Without a Fight, The Show Begins!

"What condition?" In midair, the Enlightened One of Dao Sect looked at Lin Fan with a smiling gaze, his voice once again echoing in Lin Fan's ears.

Lin Fan's lips moved slightly. "I can ensure Yuan Gate doesn't win the championship, and I'll even claim it myself. If I join Dao Sect, it'll be a great benefit for your sect as well."

"As for my condition, it's simple—I want to receive the benefits of two champions. One set goes to Lin Dong. Also, I want to bring a few companions into Dao Sect with me."

If Lin Fan hadn't shown up, the championship of the Hundred Dynasties War would've gone to Lin Dong without question.

But with Lin Fan in the picture, Lin Dong naturally couldn't win.

Since he was already asking Dao Sect to pay up, Lin Fan figured he might as well fight for a share of benefits for Lin Dong too.

"You're quite the confident little guy, and your appetite's not small either," the Enlightened One was momentarily stunned before his voice came again.

"Agree and we work together. If not, forget it. Of course, if I don't win the championship, the deal's off," Lin Fan replied calmly, his lips barely moving.

"You little rascal... Alright, I agree." After a long pause, the Enlightened One finally gave his answer.

Lin Fan withdrew his gaze and said nothing more.

"Heh, you really treat Lin Dong well. No wonder he trusts you so much and puts you first in everything," Little Marten said with a sly grin from the side.

Little Marten was no slouch himself, and the exchange between Lin Fan and the Enlightened One hadn't exactly been hidden from him, so he'd picked up on most of it.

Lin Fan simply smiled. It was just his way of giving something back to Lin Dong.

By now, Liu Tong had finished reading out the names of those participating in the Nirvana Golden Ranking battle. With a wave of his sleeve, a surge of vast Yuan Power rippled through the sky.

Then, space began to distort as enormous domes of light formed in midair, each a separate battle platform.

After creating the battlefields, Liu Tong raised his hand again, and a radiant orb of light appeared in his palm.

Within the orb, countless beams of light—scrolls made of energy—could be faintly seen swirling about.

"Each scroll is divided into Yin and Yang sides. Those who hold opposing halves will become opponents. The scroll will guide you to your designated battle platform."

As soon as Liu Tong's voice faded, the light orb exploded with a bang, sending beams of glowing scrolls raining down like stars across the arena.

Swish swish swish!

As the scrolls fell, countless experts leapt into the air, using various techniques to snatch the glowing tokens.

Lin Fan didn't hesitate. His figure flashed upward, and with a casual reach, he caught a scroll from the falling rain of light.

Zzzzt zzzzt!

As each person grasped a scroll, beams of light shot out from them, linking to one of the floating battle domes above.

The scroll in Lin Fan's hand also emitted a beam, connecting with one of the platforms.

And just as his scroll linked up, another beam shot out from it, connecting the opposite end of the dome—to his opponent.

Lin Fan turned his head slightly, letting his gaze follow the light beam downward, and soon spotted his opponent.

It was a square-faced man dressed in garments that struck Lin Fan as familiar.

"You're from... the Great Qian Dynasty?" Lin Fan suddenly recalled something and asked the man.

Back when they left the ruins of the Four Profound Sect, Lin Fan and his group had been ambushed by Zhu Tianhuo and Mu Huang of the Great Qian Dynasty.

The two had tried to seize their inheritance, but failed and were killed by Lin Fan.

The patterns on this man's clothing were nearly identical to those worn by Zhu Tianhuo and Mu Huang.

"Qian Jin of the Great Qian Dynasty. Greetings, Brother Lin Fan," the square-faced man said with a wry smile, cupping his fists.

Qian Jin was one of the Three Kings of the Great Qian Dynasty and the leader of their forces in the Ancient Battlefield.

When he'd first heard Lin Fan had killed Zhu Tianhuo and Mu Huang, Qian Jin had wanted revenge. But the two sides never met—until now.

Just recently, he had witnessed Lin Fan's battle with the Demon Sky Dynasty at the base of the mountain.

The Great Qian Dynasty and the Demon Sky Dynasty were on equal footing. Watching Lin Fan so easily wipe out the Song Family's three demons had made Qian Jin realize—he was no match.

So he gave up on revenge.

Still, he never imagined he'd draw Lin Fan as his opponent in the very first round.

"Lin Fan, of the Great Yan Dynasty," Lin Fan replied coolly, then said, "Go ahead."

Qian Jin's expression shifted. After a moment's hesitation, he clenched his jaw and said, "I concede."

There was a grudge between the Great Qian Dynasty and Lin Fan, and Qian Jin feared that if they fought, Lin Fan might go for the kill.

After all, he had witnessed Lin Fan's ruthless nature firsthand.

He had no chance of winning anyway—better to lose face than lose his life.

Uproar!

Atop the Hundred Dynasties Mountain, aside from those with Violet-Gold Nirvana Seals, many others with Heaven-Tier Seals had come to watch.

Hearing Qian Jin directly admit defeat caused a stir across the summit.

Still, those who had seen Lin Fan defeat Song Zhen and the other Song demons weren't surprised.

The experts from the eight super sects watched the scene with thoughtful expressions.

The Enlightened One of Dao Sect sat with his usual gentle smile, clearly even more impressed with Lin Fan now.

Lin Fan glanced once at Qian Jin but said nothing.

As Qian Jin conceded, their battle platform dissolved automatically.

With a gloomy expression, Qian Jin returned to the Great Qian Dynasty's section.

Lin Fan shifted his gaze toward Lin Dong's battle dome.

As expected, both Lin Dong and Lin Yan had defeated their opponents and advanced.

Little Marten won with ease, ending his fight in a single move.

Even Su Rou claimed victory, though hers was much closer than the others.

Suddenly, Lin Fan sensed a scorching gaze fixed on him. He turned and saw that it was Qin Tian of the Tianyuan Dynasty.

At this moment, Qin Tian no longer wore his usual smile—his expression was unreadable.

Before long, all the battle domes had produced results.

"The second round will proceed just like before. Draw lots to determine your opponent!"

With another wave of Liu Tong's hand, a glowing ring reappeared in the air and exploded once more.

But just as the light scrolls began falling, a strange and eerie power suddenly surged from the void above.

"Hehe, no need for the next round. We've waited long enough…"

A mass of black clouds seeped out from the void, spreading ominously to blot out the sky.

Faint silhouettes could be seen moving within the darkness.

"Who's there?!"

The experts from the eight super sects shot to their feet in unison, faces darkening as they stared sharply at the black clouds.

The show had begun.

Watching the spreading darkness, Lin Fan murmured to himself.
