He could hear the beasts cries and violent trashing of its body from here, it's wounded. He has to get up. Pushing his already broken body he stood up and assumed his werewolf form. why hadn't he done that from the start, he didn't know. He was just tired, so very tired.
Limping slowly to the defiled King, he focused his mind and began to calm down his aching body. He needed to be in his best shape for the inevitable confrontation. That's when he began to wonder. 'How does it look like? It should be a wolf of some sort and by the sounds it's making, gotta be huge.
With a sigh he began to walk slow and steady between the burned remains of the city, the heat was unbearable. He winced Every time the heat brushed against his mangled and burned flesh, that's when he found a large broken window scattered on the ground and stopped when he saw himself in the fragments that remained, 'I look like a half-eaten corpse' but that didn't scare him, only steeled his resolve to finish the nightmare.

That's when he saw it, his enemy was sprawled on the ground, shaking violently in the distance. It was indeed huge, the size of a small house. it resembled a furry spider, and where its head should have been, was instead a human-like torso with four beast-like arms that ended with strangely human-like hands and fingers.
On top of this ghastly abomination was the head of a wolf, Its maw was full of sharp and unnaturally long needle-like teeth that had grown outward of its maw or pierced its lower mandible through. It had around nine eyes on each side of its face, coming to almost twenty.
The sight of it was revolting but there was nothing left for Li to throw up in his stomach. Looking at the creature with disgust he summoned the [Fires Might] the claymore that he'd picked at the tomb of King Night and began to approach the beast's head-like torso.
Looking at it one more time as he raised his weapon and channeled all of the fire energy he could into it and slashed downwards. it didn't meet any resistance as it sliced through its spine like butter.
As he did, however, a row of black goo shot towards him from the severed body, seeing that, Li almost soiled himself. That, whatever it was, he couldn't allow himself to be touched by it, no matter what. He threw himself in the opposite direction with a burst of wind but the thing had grazed his hand at the last moment and clang to him as it started to devour him, slowly corrupting his soul.
Li fell onto the ground with a loud shriek that no human vocals could ever reproduce. The pain was unlike anything he had ever experienced, even worse than the feeling of doom that he felt at King Night's tomb, this was its source after all. He couldn't do anything, his soul was rapidly being destroyed, and he was paralyzed with pain. However he didn't need to, suddenly the voice of the spell resounded in his ears, talking a bit faster than usual.
[You have slain an awakened terror, EverNight.]

[Wake up, Li! Your nightmare is over.]
[prepare for appraisal…]
He was still screaming when the pain stopped and he was back in the familiar dark void. He was however still in shock from the pain and couldn't move a muscle, the aftermath of the pain remained, sending tremors to his body and the spell didn't continue with the appraisal, it seemed okay with waiting for him to regain his senses as it had admittedly, ended things a bit too late'
After something that felt like an eternity, the pain began to subside and he slowly rose to his feet, but then decided against it and sat with his legs crossed, he was meditating.
"Gods that was… intense" 'What the hell even happened at the end? Did I kill the blob of corruption? No that can't be it… So the kill that ended the nightmare was EverNight. So what about the blob? You know what I don't even want to think about it' After he was done with his thoughts, the spell began to speak.
[prepare for appraisal…]
[In a faraway Kingdom, plagued with ruin, stood a boy hardened like iron. Against the forces of god-like beings, he stayed upright, resolve unshaken. He fought and bled, his flesh mangled, scorched to bits. Through it all, fear and doubt did not stop his Will. he saved them all through death and sorrow, as he had sworn the oath of kings. When death was the only release, he did not waver, he offered it free. Some might say death is doom to life but he would disagree, seeing it as their warm embrace, he did as he swore, he killed them free. He enveloped them all in his gentle hands, 'as life is precious, everyone to the last' he said to them, still holding on. While even death had forgotten them all, he remembers, welcoming them all.]
'Well, that was… Flattering. it's just me or the spell sounded a bit… Apologetic at the end?'

"Well it seemed to possess the same properties at least," he said as he was still in his transformation form. "But a Divine aspect, I've outdone myself this time" he started to think back to his nightmare and the life before it, a strange emotion going on in his heart.

Li felt a sharp sting in his soul, not like the pain that he experienced at the last moment of the nightmare, but not pleasant either. He felt his body, mind, and soul beginning to change, they were being empowered. He was becoming strong. With a blink, the surroundings shifted and a cool breeze ran through his body, washing all the pain of his soul away.
'My soul sea!'
Indeed it was. He was standing on a beach, sand covered his feet as a cool breeze brushed past him, disturbing the tranquil silence of the lake that was in front of him. he walked closer the lake, soon stopping as the water reached his knees. the sky was covered by a blanket of clouds, and rays of light were coming out in large distance of one another, with his soul core illuminated gray with a shine of gold around the edges. It was simply breathtaking.

Li slowly opened his eyes, which were then assaulted by a bright light on the ceiling followed by the smell of burnt cigars and donuts. He is back.
