Raven POV
"You useless bitch, what have you done?" screeched my mother as she stared at the broken vase with anger and detest brimming in her eyes. off to the side stood Jenna giving me the stink eye, she had a triumphant look on her face and as I went to speak up, a slap landed on my face and someone grabbed at my hair.
"Do you even know how much that costs, you're in a whole lot of trouble for this mess you caused" father drew me by my hair and I screamed with pains as he drew me down the stairs to the basement where he dumped me and locked up the door behind him.
I knew what next and began to prepare myself for it, I haven't said a word ever since to avoid increasing the anger and amount of punishment I would receive, years of this same thing happening all over and over again had taught me that.
The whip rained down on my body consistently for a few minutes and those few minutes taught me what pain was, I felt my back being splintered over and over again without end and could make no sound or risk exciting the fool. before they stopped and I was graced with an angry glare.
"you stay here and think about how you will fix your mistake" he flung the whip to the side and left me there, suffering in silence as he locked the door behind him and I could hear him order the guard to take good care of me before the night ends.
This was bad, he was playing at something else, I forced myself to stand by the dark corners of the wall. Picking up a large plant pot as the keys jingled and a guard name Mark rushed in with glee in his face.
My heart shook for now I understood clearly what the man I called father had ordered him to do to me, I felt the pains increase as he began to search for me everywhere with rising anger.
He came to stand before me, not at all noticing my hunched form there and I took that moment to strike, slamming the pot into his head as he groaned and fell to the ground, unconscious.
I also fell to the ground---sobs racking through my form as I did, my eyes blurring with black dots scattered across of it and soon, I felt myself drifting away but shook it off.
Taking a strong rope that had always been used for me, I tied up the unconscious guard and just as I finished with the last knot, I fell to the ground. My body unable to hold me up any longer and fell into unconsciousness.
DREAM
Scents of wild flowers, a fluttering scent of baking powder that had me wrinkling my nose as my stomach rumbled in glee. Something perched in my nose and I sneezed as I tried to move and found out I was still in pains and also not in the cold hard floor I had fainted in. The guard, No.
I snapped my eyes open with panic only to come face to face with a puppy of some kind and I didn't even scream, I had gone through so much in the past twenty years of my life for me not to be feeling fear that easily.
I glanced around with a start, finding myself in a meadow, the grounds emanated a soft glow that I kind of recognized, it was that which came with the moon and it was beautiful.
where was I? I asked myself lowly.
"That is the best I have ever seen, no fear or panic" I tried to spin around but groaned with pains as my body reminded me of the glaring reason why I had stayed seated in the first place.
"Not to worry child, I'll get you all fixed in no time" A young woman walked towards me, seemingly appearing out of thin air, she was wrapped in a white cloth. Like those Indians who dressed this way but hers was white, out of the world even and she was adorned in simple but attractive pearls and jewelries.
She smiled as she came ot sit before me and I finally found the voice to speak.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Good question, I am that which you will find out by yourself soon" she smiled at my puzzled look before waving her arms wide and an image appeared out of thin air. Funny because I was certain scientists already ruled out the possibility of there being magic in existence.
"Oh don't mind those riffraff, always concluding on the worst of things--there are magic everywhere darling" She smirked when my heart shook.
"you can read minds?" I questioned and she smiled.
"I can do many things. enough of the chit chat. I have something I need your help with young moon" She heaved out a breath as an image began to display, a face of a muscular man had me leaning forward with interest and a foreign feeling arising from within me. This man was good looking.
"This is Raphael, the bastard son of Alpha King Flight."
"Alpha King?" I voiced out and she nodded.
"Yes. Wolves are humans whom can shift at will to beasts and you are one of them if not better." I stared at her as though she had grown two heads and she laughed, a soft tinkling sound that felt soothing to the ears and sounded like music playing.
"They are real. just existing in an alternate universe, a different realm. I need your help in finding this man and bringing him back to his kingdom" Hs dropped and I sighed as I gave her a disbelieving stare.
"That sounds really good a story but it's all not true-"
"I do not have time for this, you know it in your heart that that which I speak off is true and I would not tolerate this indifference" I startled as her tone changed before she took in a deep breath.
"I will send you to the other realm to find him but this realm is filled with dangerous beasts whom would do anything just to destroy you and stop your mission from being fulfilled" She explained with a heavy tone and I turned to the puppy from before whom was staring at her with awe in it's eyes. weird but haven't I seen enough weird things in one night.
"How do you expect me to do that huh..?" I asked with a sass I had in my early years of existence. She was beginning to annoy me and I knew she could read minds and all but she was bullshiting me by telling me of how dangerous it is for a human-.
"Not a human, I will make you stronger than them all. It is time to bring out what you have always been" She began to chant a weird sound, her voice growing louder as she went and I felt a force pick me up from the floor and send me high into the air.
"Then came the pain-- The hell is this witch doing.?" I screeched with unimaginable pains.
