Chapter 10 - Modern meets ancient.

'Amir, I can't wait to get to Avalon and find a blonde-haired infidel to play with.' A teenage boy said to another as they stood on the deck. 'Come on, everyone knows the red-haired ones scream the best, Yusuf.' Said Amir, licking his lips as they finally get a chance to get some sex slaves for themselves. After all, the people of Avalon were lesser humans in their eyes; their holy book says so. As the boys watched out into the sea, a group of older men was sitting under a tent.

'Your son Amir looks to be a great leader in the future, Sheikh Azhar.' Said the man sitting on a higher seat. 'Your words are too much, Emir Abbas. He is just a boy who hasn't tasted a woman yet, so his mind is full of it.' Said Azhar. The men laughed as they drank some tea, only to hear the boy named Yusuf yell. 'What are those?!' He said, pointing to the sky.

Making one of the men walk out of the tent area and look up to see 45 objects slowly flying down towards the water about 3 miles away. 'Emir Abbas, you need to come here.' The man said with a worried voice. Making the man stand up from his pillow seat and walk out of the tent, and squinting his eyes, looking at the object moving above the water now. 'Everyone, prepare yourselves. We do not know if they are enemies.' He commanded as the men on the deck started to pick up their bows.

Inside one of the F-35s, 'This is Commander James, arm your missiles. Since these things don't have heat, we will have to guide them in with sight. Hit the ones you can on the first pass, and we will turn around for a second one before opening up with our guns for the people in the water. We don't have to kill all of them, just enough to get the hunters in the sea a reason to eat them.' James said as the other pilots replied and the hatch hiding the missiles opened up.

Back on the ship, the one named Amir smiled, 'They must be angels sent by Ullah, to bless our righteous act.' He said the problem, making the men on the deck think for a moment and nod as they lowered their bows. Only for them to see something small shoot out of those flying objects before one slammed into a ship near the edge of the fleet, breaking it in half. 'COMBAT MANUVERS!' Yelled Abbas as another boat was broken in half. 'What are these things?!' cried a man on the deck. He has never seen a ship split in half from one attack.

A small flying object flew towards their ship as the helmsmen pulled the rudder hard, and the object missed hitting the ocean as the fast flying object flew over them, shaking the vessel. Abbas looked on in shock as the once 30-ship fleet was cut down to five. He knew at this moment this raid was a failure, and the odds he was going to die here. 'Full-Mast! We need to get near land!' He yelled as the deckhands dropped the sails, hoping they could dodge those smaller objects just enough to get close to land.

'THEY'RE COMING BACK!' Yelled another man, making Abbas look over, seeing those flying things turning around. 'Zig-zag, don't let them hit us!' Yelled Abbas. Ullah have you turned your back on the Uma Caliphate, he thought. As another small object nearly missed, then splashing into the water when another one hit one of the three masts, sending it falling. 'AIMIR! NO!' Azhar yelled out, only to see the mast slamming down on top of his son, crushing him. 'Three of the last ships have been sunk! Ours and the other one are both damaged!' Yelled the second in command.

'They're turning again, just leave US ALONE!' yelled a man having a breakdown as death was creeping inside them. 'WE HAVE BEEN FORSAKEN!' One yelled, falling to his knees. 'SOMETHING IS COMING!' Yusuf yelled as they turned and looked, five of the small objects moving over the top of the water. With the mast hanging into the water, turning was harder as they dodged one, but the other four slammed into the side, sending everyone on the deck flying into the sky.

Abbas hit the water hard, knocking the breath out of him as he struggled to get himself together as he broke through the water, hearing screams and pleas as he found a piece of wood to grab onto. Many people didn't know how to swim, struggling to stay afloat due to fear.

Back inside the F-35s, 'All ships destroyed, switching to secondary mission. Arm guns, we will break up and attack from different directions, doing passes until ammo is depleted, understood.' James said, closing the missile compartment.

In the water, half the people who were sent into it have already drowned, and the rest were hanging onto parts of ships. 'OH NO! THEY'RE COMING BACK! JUST LEAVE US ALONE, WE CAN'T HURT ANYONE ANYMORE!' The man who was already having a meltdown had started to panic.

A group of young men, in their teens, had gathered up a large chunk of wood as the flying objects got closer to the water. Abbas watched when he heard the sound of something like 'BRRRRRT', and the young men were ripped to shreds before his eyes. Fear had now taken root in his soul, as it was like the heavens hated his people. And it was hunting them down, not letting any of them live.

Someone broke through the water, grabbing the wood with him; it was Yusuf. 'Emir Abbas.' Yusuf said when he opened his eyes, and Abbas heard that 'BRRRRT' sound again, only for water to splash around him, and he closed his eyes tightly, only to think his death had come. Until it was silent, he did up his eyes. 'Yusuf, are you okay?' He said only to see Yusuf missing half of his head hanging onto the wood, making him throw up.

'THEY'RE LEAVING!' Said the mentally broken man as he started to laugh hysterically. Abbas pushed Yusuf off the wood and began to kick his feet towards Uma; he needed to warn them that something had changed, and they must not become enemies with it. Only ten people will be known to survive that hell, all but one of them didn't kill themselves afterwards because of that horror.

'Return to the carrier, good job, pilots.' I said from my control center as Roselie and her maids were shocked by how quickly the fleet was destroyed. In less than five minutes, thirty ships sank and nearly everyone was killed. Roselie looked at her future husband with wonder and fear; she never knew war could be so brutal, as she gulped down the saliva that was in her mouth, as her maid looked at Emperor Roderick as a god at this point. The enemy that has been making their people suffer was so brutally destroyed within minutes, making them fall to their knees, bowing their heads to the floor.

'Get up, ladies, it's that big of a deal. This was child's play, nothing more than shooting fish in a barrel, not something for you to worship me over.' I said, smiling at the maids, making them blush and bite their lips. Making me think of an idea, but that will be for later, as we will be at Avalon in an hour or two. 'Ladies, please take Roselie to her room for now. As I need to discuss war plans with my officers.' I said. Making the maids nod and guiding the Princess away.

'I want the submarines to break off and move along the coast, if they see any ships from Uma. Sink them, I slowly want high altitude drones watching the coastline of Uma, I need to know if they plan to hit back for the loss of this flight.' I said while pouring a drink for me and the officer, as he nodded and took it. 'The second wave of ships will be leaving in two days, Your Majesty. Giving us seven days to sign the treaty and take part of the coastline of Uma, well within the abilities of our navy and army.' He said as I nodded.

'Signing the treaty isn't the hard part, I can do that within a day, it's the nobles that will be the handful. However, I am sure half will switch sides back to the King from the Duke, as they would have been with him out of anger for not doing anything to Uma. Once I make the point clear, I will be going to war with Uma; they will fall in line. The only ones who will put up a fight are the ones looking to have gained power with the Duke being the new King.' I said, taking a sip as the officer looked at me and nodded as he sipped his. 'I want you to order special forces to fan out in Avalon and look at all the nobility close to the Duke, and start making plans to use their ties like a message with the seal of nobility of another kingdom, talking about killing the crown prince and the youngest prince. Use the connections to the three kingdoms around Avalon after the crown prince and the young prince are dead, of course, by my hands. I will make King Aurthor come down with a sickness, as the other princesses aren't married, the throne will fall to me.' I said, smiling.

Roselie, forgive me, but Avalon will be mine too. I will make sure to take care of your mother and sisters, along with their mothers, of course. I said, licking my lips.
