There's only one word to describe how I'm feeling right now.
Stuffy.
Although, it might have more to do with the fact that my grandma looks like she's about to order someone's killing—and the "someone" in question is none other than Calvin. A loud slam of her palm against the table makes Leilani flinch beside me. I only blink, not surprised by her rage. After all—
She's found out the truth.
Probably before Leilani and I even got to it—especially since Manon was the one who dished it out to us.
"Tell me, Calvin, what were you thinking, scheming such a barbaric act against my winery?" she asks, beady eyes locked on him as if she can see straight through his lies.
Leilani squeezes her purse, tugging lightly at my suit. She's been like that ever since we left her place to come here, and honestly, I need the support. Mostly because it's soothing to know I'm not alone.
