He screamed, his back bowed with the effort, and a burning sign flared to life on his coat.
like the flame of a phoenix.
Power pulsed through his veins—they were ancient, divine.
High overhead, the constellations shifted.
In the Celestial Realm, three bronze bells tolled loudly.
The Immortals stirred.
The spirits wept.
Yet, whilst this battled, the world of the living slumbered on...
Unknowing that the heavens
