Kolton ignored Kimi completely as he approached his car, parked one block from the narrow alley where the confrontation had taken place.
His hand reached for the driver's side door handle when fingers wrapped around his wrist, stopping him cold.
He turned to face Kimi. "What do you want?"
Without answering, she pulled him around to the passenger side and yanked the door open with more force than necessary.
"Get in." Her voice carried an authority that surprised them both.
Kolton pushed back against the door frame when she tried to guide him inside. "I don't need your help."
She shoved him into the seat with surprising strength and slammed the door before he could protest further.
When Kimi slid behind the wheel, she caught sight of Kolton's face twisted in pain. The harsh streetlight streaming through the windshield highlighted the tension in his jaw.
"Did I hurt you?" She leaned across the console to reach for his seatbelt, her movements careful now.
