Chapter 1 - I Crossed Over?

One second, he was standing outside the book store waiting for the bus. Clutching his newly bought book while reading Fairy Tail manga on his phone. Just the usual.

Just as he was reading, a strong gale passed by making him squint his eyes.

"Arc of Embodiment, would be nice huh? Hmm?"

The next, the book store was gone. The people disappeared. The entire block vanished before his eyes. Suddenly everything changed leaving him flabbergasted and confused.

[Unique Skill: Arc of Embodiment acquisition successful.]

"Who!?" He turned, only to see no one

He felt like the voice came from his mind, 'Where am I?'

He looked around only to see towering trees all around.

'What the? Where is this?'

Baffled and confused. The last thing he remembered was standing outside the book store, waiting for the bus, while reading. When a strong gale passed by making him squint his eyes.

Then, this.

He looked down at his clothes, still his hoodie, cargo pants, shoes. No blood, no wounds. His phone was working, but there's no signal, and he was still holding his book.

Feeling overwhelmed, he scanned his surroundings further.

Rustle

Pyoing ~

Hearing a bouncing sound from his right, he checked to see what it was.

"Huh... a Slime?" He was confused and couldn't make sense of reality, he was seeing a blob of light blue, a slime from games he played, from animations he watched, from stories he read. It was bouncing, and slowly coming towards him.

He backed off as it slowly came bouncing, still trying to make sense of what's in front of him.

After some time, he gathered his thoughts. First he inspected himself while slowly backing away.

"The voice from earlier, something about a skill?" He wondered aloud. "Was it, Arc of something?" He remembered that he was reading Fairy Tail before. "Arc of Embodiment," he said slowly and thought of something.

His right hand glowed, and right before his eyes a stick manifested.

"Woah!" He stared in awe at the stick he instinctively manifested. "It really is Arc of Embodiment," He then looked at the slime that's slowly coming towards him.

Pop!

With a slam from his stick, the slime popped.

'It really worked, I imagined a stick that would pop the slime.' Flabbergasted, he wondered if he was dreaming, he pinched himself.

"Ow!"

Feeling the pain, he looked around, and noticed that as he had been walking back slowly he came to a spot that's open.

Scanning his surroundings, he saw a path that was clear of grass, and in the distant horizon he saw what appeared to be buildings, well to be exact, he saw a castle that seemed to be at the center and is surrounded by walls.

"Where the hell am I?" He wondered aloud, "Am I in Fairy Tail? But instead of magic, the voice earlier said it was a skill." He kept on thinking as he walked on the path. Heading towards the castle.

"I'll need answers, if there are people there, then much better."

'But first, I need to do something with what I'm wearing. Since there are castles, slimes, and skills, I'll assume that I've been transported to a medieval fantasy world.' He mused as he walked, 'I'll need to change my clothes.'

'Hmm. A linen white shirt, then light brown trousers, then leather boots, let's add leg wraps.' He looked around to check if there was anybody around, then went behind a tree to change.

"Does this work?" He examines himself, 'Let's make a leather backpack as well, I'll introduce myself as a traveler'

'Will I even understand their language?' He walks on as he worries, 'I'll have to find out where I am anyways, there's no harm in meeting people first, hopefully.'
