Chapter 11: Lucky Spins?
Mirae's eyes were shining brightly, seeing the two Fragments of Lust in the hands of her mother. However, she remembered her brother had requested compensation for what he had been through from his mother, and she had even agreed to it.
'NO! It can't be
'Is mother going to give both Fragments of Lust to brother as compensation?'
She didn't even feel that much anger when her brother had played her like a fool, as that thing in mother's hand could even change people's fate, especially for people in House Shade who mostly took vows with the sin of lust being their core value.
'I can't let this happen'
She had thought she would be the one to get the fragment, as she had always behaved well and performed the best out of all her siblings. She was aware her mother favored her more than others, as she was the only one who could call her mother.
'Why was she doing this to me? Brother doesn't deserve these fragments. I do. I had worked hard for them'
'He had been acting like a lustful fool all this while, and what if he showed something now? It's not fair
'I am going to turn 18 in a week. If I had them, I know I would be able to achieve a high-ranked vow'
She was now seriously thinking of just stealing these from him when he would get out of there. She knew he would fight for it, but she didn't care. If it came to it, she didn't mind breaking all the bones in his body without killing him.

She didn't think Mother would do anything when she found out, as he wouldn't be worthy to keep the fragments if he didn't have the strength to protect them.
Lysira could see what her daughter might be plotting right now. She was definitely going to steal these from Elias once they got out of there.
'My daughter is definitely stronger than Elias as of right now. He won't be able to do anything if she comes for the fragment'

Lysira didn't say anything and just made the Fragments of Lust float using her energy. She stopped them when one reached in front of Elias and the other in front of her daughter, who looked shocked right now.
"These are for both of you. Elias, it's your compensation, and Mirae, it's your birthday gift, my daughter. Both of you use them well"
Mirae was a bit shocked. She couldn't contain her happiness as she wasn't expecting one fragment to be for her. However, her happiness didn't last long, as suddenly her body slammed to the ground with force.

'What!'
She didn't get any injuries, but it hurt a bit being slammed to the ground, and she couldn't even lift her face up.
"Mirae, my daughter, I am warning you that the other fragment is for your brother, alright"
"Elias, use the fragment. I am expecting a lot from you too now"
"No one is going to take the fragment from you"
"But this would be the only time I would help you"
Lysira said what she wanted. She knew now that no one was going to take the fragment from Elias. She only helped him because she wanted to see what he could achieve with it.
Mirae stood up as the force pressing down on her body was gone. She thanked her mother for her generosity. It was a pity she wouldn't be able to get the second Fragment of Lust, but she was content with this.
The others who were inside behind the pink mist of illusion and lust had also thought of stealing the fragment from Elias, but hearing the Matriarch's warning, no one was daring enough to attempt that now.
Victor, getting the unexpected help from the Matriarch, didn't forget to thank her. He knew how precious this Fragment of Lust was, as he had read about how using them, Mirae had taken a vow with the potential of diamond rank, which was the highest rank.
'I don't know if me taking one of the fragments would change the future or not, but I don't care. As to save the world, I need to be stronger, much stronger, and even stronger than the unfathomable woman in front of me'
As she would have surely been in the world, but the world still got destroyed. He had to surpass even her, whose strength he couldn't even comprehend as of right now.
Victor was now out of the throne room. He had the pink orb in hand, the Fragment of Lust. Out of everything, what aroused his interest most was a blue screen floating in front of him. This message had appeared when he had first opened his eyes, but he didn't show any reaction.

But the problem was Victor didn't know where his room was. But he still didn't show any reactions on his face and followed where Mirae, the white-haired girl from earlier, was going. He knew she was his sister, so his room might be closer to where she lived.
He was walking through the massive hallways supported by giant black pillars. The marble floor was polished. He couldn't spot a speck of dust on them, or various decorations around the hallway.
He walked past a few luxurious gates. It could be his room, but he didn't stop. He had his full focus on Mirae walking a few meters in front of him, waiting for any reaction that would give away which room was his. He was just waiting for it.
