Kyle lightly stroked Miu’s head, his gaze following Noa as she assessed the room with a sweep of her eyes.
“It seems you find the mansion to your liking,” he remarked.
“Hmm, not sure if like is the right word. It’s just all so new to me. I tend to forget that you’re from such a prestigious household,” she mused, glancing briefly at the man sitting on the edge of the bed.
At first glance, Kyle Leonard did not quite fit the image of a noble’s son. Perhaps it was because the detective’s uniform suited him so well, or maybe it was the stern expression that hardened his face against prying eyes—or, even still, maybe it was the fact that he insisted on doing everything with his own two hands, from cleaning to cooking. All of these things combined made him seem more like a work-obsessed member of the general public than one of Laurent’s elite. Seeing him now, in the Leonard Estate, however, made it undeniable that Kyle belonged among the aristocratic halls.
