Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Sophia finished exchanging money, then went to the bank to make a large deposit, putting in a full 100 million. After subtracting the 6 million cash transfer from Professor Zhou earlier, she still had 40 million left.

After the big deposit, before leaving the bank, Sophia asked Amelia for her bank card details and transferred 4.45 million to her. This was the 3% commission she had promised Amelia.

Amelia replied very quickly with an emoji of three people kneeling and kowtowing.

Amelia was almost done with her work and had made plans with Sophia to come visit her in the next couple of days.

After chatting with Amelia, Sophia didn't rush home.

She first went for a spa. When she entered, someone immediately greeted her and recommended the spa's services.

She chose a shoulder and back relaxation treatment. Soon, someone took her to change clothes.

The room was private. After changing, while waiting for the staff, she was served a dessert of white fungus with peach gum and some fresh cut fruit.

They also turned on the TV for her.

Halfway through eating, the staff arrived.

The staff was a round-faced girl with a bun hairstyle, speaking softly and smiling.

Sophia never thought she would get to enjoy a wellness center like this.

Since her fake rich daughter identity was exposed, Jiang's mother never took her there again.

She had been busy just surviving and did not dare buy expensive things, only sometimes giving herself small rewards.

After about two hours, Sophia left the spa just in time for dinner. She found a nearby restaurant to eat.

Chinese people have a deep habit of not wasting food, so even though Sophia could now eat anything she wanted, she did not waste or order too much.

She chose a somewhat expensive private kitchen and ordered three dishes.

While waiting for the food, she searched for nearby stores selling pickup trucks.

She had a feeling the pig trough might keep spitting out things, so having a pickup truck would save her from waiting for deliveries.

She could order and take the truck right away, which was more convenient.

Before, conditions didn't allow it, but now with money, buying a pickup would be better for raising pigs or later selling antiques and feeding the pig trough. A pickup was much more useful than her current used Volkswagen.

After eating, on her way out, she passed a women's shoe store.

It was a brand she liked very much before. The shoes were comfortable. After being kicked out by the Jiang family, she hadn't worn them since college.

Sophia smiled, pushed the door open, and came out carrying several shopping bags.

Then she drove to the nearest car dealership and bought a truck within half an hour.

Sophia drove the new pickup herself. The used Volkswagen was taken by the sales manager, who arranged for someone to drive it to her home.

After being out most of the day, Sophia drove the new truck back home.

She drove around the village in the truck, not to show off but to check on things.

To separate her completely from the Jiang family, the real rich daughter Jessica left Sophia with the land and hills that belonged to Sophia's parents, which were all transferred back to her name.

Sophia hadn't been to see these lands yet.

She needed to ask the village chief to show her around.

Sophia bought two packs of cigarettes, two bottles of alcohol, and some fruit from the village store near the entrance.

She first went home. The sun was still high, and many villagers were resting.

When she pushed open the door, what she saw in the yard shocked her.

She stepped back to the door and looked left and right. This was definitely her home.

Standing at the open door and looking inside, she saw several neat red square tables in the yard. In front of each table hung a robe with a divine pattern sewn by hand.

Seeing this kind of setup suddenly was a little scary.

Sophia came back to her senses and decided to bring her things inside first, then closed the door.

She put the shoes she bought on the floor without care.

There were six tables in the yard. There were also two big black bears and two robes that did not move at all. Sophia almost screamed.

After calming down, she thought carefully. If someone saw this, no matter how much she explained, she would surely go to jail.

Sophia had no time to check anything else. She quickly dragged out the pig trough.

Holding back her fear, she pushed the black bears into the trough.

Please go back!

Sophia felt numb.

Luckily, after five minutes, the first black bear disappeared. Then she dragged the trough to the two wild pigs and pushed them in. The pigs disappeared too. Then the two robes and many wild chickens and ducks.

She did not dare to keep these. She did not need to eat them either. If there was any risk, it was better to return them.

She wondered how the trough worked. Why was it now giving wild animals?

No need. She did not want that. It was fine when it only gave treasure.

Please do not give her a dead body next.

Sophia almost cried.

After all this, she sat on the ground to rest a bit before standing up. She looked at what was left on the tables.

There was one huge steamed bun and many fruits she did not know. Sophia picked one and took a small bite. The taste was not good.

She did not like fruit. The hard and not sweet fruit made her dislike it more.

She put it back.

Then she saw four pigs, four sheep, and some chickens and ducks.

Sophia studied animal farming, so she knew a lot about pig and sheep breeds. These looked like the ancestors of her family's pigs, not modern pigs.

The pigs and sheep smelled very strong and had rough hair. One pig even had tusks.

If others saw this, they might think these were wild pigs.

After thinking, Sophia put the pigs, sheep, chickens, and ducks back into the trough and returned them.

After returning the meat, the things on the tables were much fewer.

She tried the fruit again and still did not like it. She pulled the trough closer and dumped everything back.

These fruits were probably not even eaten by her family's pigs, so better return them.

After all this, six open boxes were left on the tables. Sophia was not used to gold and jewelry yet, but when she looked closely, four boxes were full of gold ingots. She picked one up. It was heavy.

Seeing jewelry would not shock her much. But seeing whole boxes of gold ingots really shocked Sophia.

The other two boxes held sets of jade wine utensils. There were cups, pots, plates, measuring vessels, and jars made of jade. One box held 56 dining utensils made from jade wrapped with gold threads. Each piece fit perfectly inside the box.
