Chapter 120 - Ch 120: My turn

"Yuuto-san."

"…Asia…" Kiba whispered hoarsely.

Tears streamed freely down her cheeks, her emerald eyes locked on him with desperate intensity. Her small hands pressed firmly against his chest, light radiating from them as her Twilight Healing poured everything she had into mending his ruined body.

"Please…" Her voice broke, but her resolve did not. "Please, don't die."

Her frame was trembling, shoulders shaking from the strain of holding her Sacred Gear active at full force. Every second cost her stamina, yet she refused to relent. Even when her tears fell onto Kiba's armor, she didn't waver.

Beside her, Xenovia groaned weakly, her own body battered and burned. Asia reached one trembling hand toward her, splitting her power, desperately trying to keep both alive at once.

The air smelled of smoke and blood. Rias and Akeno still fought above, their powers clashing with Kokabiel's overwhelming might. Koneko darted in and out, trying to keep the battlefield steady. But down here, at ground level, Asia was holding two lives in her fragile hands.

And she was reaching her limit.

Her breaths came in ragged gasps, her body trembling violently. Yet still she smiled at them, through tears and exhaustion.

"I'll save you… I'll save everyone. That's why I'm here."

That smile—it wasn't the smile of a warrior. It was the smile of someone who believed, truly believed, that kindness could overcome despair.

I felt something ignite inside me at that moment.

Enough watching. Enough waiting.

It was my turn.

"Finally…" I muttered, stepping forward, my voice sharp and clear, cutting through the noise of battle. "It's my time to shine."

Asia gasped slightly, her healing faltering for a split second before my shadow fell over her. I crouched in front of her, placing my gauntleted hand on her shoulder.

"Asia," I said firmly, meeting her tear-filled eyes. "You've done enough. Now let me give you the push you need."

She blinked, her lips parting in confusion. "…Eh?"

[Boost!]

The dragon's roar inside my Sacred Gear shook my arm. Energy surged into me, compressing, building, yearning for release.

"Take it."

I willed the flood of power into her body. The gauntlet pulsed, and a wave of emerald light spread from my hand into Asia.

Her body jolted as the transfer hit her. Her Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing, flared brighter than ever before. The faint glow of her palms became a blazing radiance, her aura magnifying several times over.

The light pouring into Kiba and Xenovia surged, mending torn muscle and shattered bones with terrifying speed.

Color rushed back into their pale skin. The stench of blood and rot was drowned out by the purity of healing.

They are not completely healed, but their life was not in any danger.

"W-What…?" Asia gasped, staring at her own hands in awe. "It's… it's stronger… so much stronger…"

"That's the Boosted Gear for you." I grinned, standing tall now, facing the battlefield.

Kiba opened his eyes fully now, blinking against the flood of vitality rushing through his body. His gaze locked on me, then shifted to Asia, who was practically glowing like an angel in human form.

"Asia-san… I…" His voice broke with a mixture of gratitude and shame. "You saved me… again."

Xenovia, breathing steadier now, forced herself upright with a hand on her sword. Her usual stoic mask cracked for a moment, and something softer flickered across her face as she glanced at Asia. "…This girl… she's the real blessing."

Asia shook her head fiercely, her cheeks still wet with tears. "No… I just… I just don't want to lose anyone else!"

Her cry wasn't just desperation. It was conviction.

Behind us, Kokabiel scoffed, his voice rumbling across the battlefield. "Hmph. Healing ants struggling in the dirt. What does it matter how much you patch them up? You cannot change fate. I will crush you all regardless."

I turned, glaring up at him, and raised my gauntlet high.

"Fate, huh?" I smirked. "Funny thing about fate—it hates being punched in the face."

The crimson gem on my gauntlet pulsed in rhythm with my heartbeat.

[Boost!]

"Issei, It's dangerous for you to find it alone." Rias suddenly said as she landed on the ground next to me.

"I know, but I have a plan. So don't worry." I said.

Since she also knows that we don't have any other option than to trust me.

"Please don't do anything crazy like what you did in the rating game." Rias said as she gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"No," I said. Because I am going to do something crazier. I said the second half to myself.
