Chapter 1 - Item ideas

ORB OF DEATH

Wonderous item, Legendary (requires attunement from a necromancer)

Effect 1:

Negative Energy absorption: Allows the collected negative energy within the orb to be used to cast Necromancy spells. Any deaths that happen within 60ft of the orb absorbs any negative emotion towards the user of the ORB OF DEATH and the orb gains base 1 charge of Negative energy. The stronger the negative emotions upon death the more charges the orb gains.

10 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 1 Necromancy spell.

25 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 2 Necromancy spell.

50 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 3 Necromancy spell.

75 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 4 Necromancy spell.

125 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 5 Necromancy spell.

250 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 6 Necromancy spell. 

375 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 7 Necromancy spell.

500 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 8 Necromancy spell. 

750 charges of Negative energy lets the user cast a Level 9 Necromancy spell.

Effect 2: Undead summoned through the ORB OF DEATH are slightly enhanced gaining bonus HP = To Level used times 3.

Effect 3: Summon Skeletal Dragon, using 1000 charges of Negative energy allows the user to summon 1 Skeletal Dragon.

Magic resistance: The SKELETAL DRAGON has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical affects.

ACTIONS 

Multiattack: the SKELETAL DRAGON can make 3 attacks 1 with it's bite and 2 with it's claw's.

bite: (Melee Weapon Attack, +13 to hit reach 10 ft [2d10 +7] piercing damage plus [1d10] necrotic damage.)

Claw: (Melee Weapon Attack, +13 to hit [2d6 +7] slashing damage.)

Tail: (Melee Weapon Attack, +13 to hit [2d8 +7] bludgeoning damage.) 

Frightful Presence: Each creature of the STELETAL DRAGON'S choice that is within 120 feet of the SKELETAL DRAGON and is aware of it must make a DC 16 Summoners DC Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. a creature can repeat the saving the throw at the end of each of its turns. ending the effect on a successful throw the effect ends and can not be used on it ever again. 

CURSE: The ORB OF DEATH is a sentient item and has an obsession over death that borders on worship. Ever since its creation, its only wish is to spread death across the world. When you become attuned to the ORB OF DEATH you have the irresistible urge to kill if the Orb as not absorbed Negative Energy within 10 hours it turns the user into a mindless beast until satiated.

This curse causes the creature it's attuned to radiate a aura of death at all time's that can not be masked by nonmagical or magical means. The aura of death cause friendly party members to be cautious of the user and ALL other creatures to have a unfavorable opinion of the user. 

This curse can not be removed
