Chapter 3 - An Unforgettable Night

Olivia woke up to see her daughter's bags packed. Sebastian!

He had not bothered apologizing to her after she caught him cheating, instead he had his dinner brought to him in his room and ignored her for the rest of the day.

She found him in his study, discussing with his mother.

"Why are Laurel's bags packed?" Olivia asked as she barged in.

"My mum's going back to the countryside and Laurel's going with her. Just for the summer." Sebastian said.

Olivia was in disbelief. Did Sebastian really mean to send their five year old daughter away to stay with his hateful mother?

"What? Laurel's the only reason I'm happy! You can't just send her away!" Olivia shouted.

"Yelling at your husband is disrespectful." Priscilla scolded. "Didn't your mother teach you that before abandoning you?"

Olivia continued speaking to Sebastian, ignoring his mother. "It's too soon. I haven't said goodbye to her yet."

"You have an hour." Sebastian replied sternly. For a man who had just been caught cheating, he had no remorse.

Olivia scoffed bitterly. "You're a monster."

Priscilla sat up. "How dare you talk to my son in that manner?"

"Your son is having an affair!" Olivia shot back at Priscilla.

"What do you expect?" Priscilla laughed mockingly. "It's been five years since you conceived, he has to try somewhere else! If this lady gives him a son, expect those divorce papers."

Olivia sighed in defeat, then walked away. She would not give her mother-in-law the satisfaction of watching her cry.

Olivia dressed Laurel while explaining that they would be spending their summer apart. Surprisingly, the little girl did not cry, instead she comforted her mother.

"We'll spend the next summer together, mummy. Don't worry."

Olivia must have kissed her daughter goodbye a hundred times. Olivia could not imagine having to live without Laurel, even temporarily. For years, her daughter was the only one who made her smile.

Olivia remembered that someone else made her smile yesterday. She felt a small metallic card in her pocket. It was the invitation Desmond gave her.

She had a party to attend.

An hour after Laurel left, a car drove into the massive compound and a blonde woman stepped out of it.

The household staff helped the woman carry her luggage into the mansion as Sebastian instructed. It was his mistress. Olivia hurried downstairs, confused and furious.

"What is she doing here?" She asked angrily as she met Sebastian and his mistress in the living room.

"Caroline's spending the summer with us." Sebastian said casually, with Caroline seated on his lap.

"What us this, a vacation?" Olivia fumed. "Like it's not bad enough that I walked in on you guys having sex?"

Sebastian sighed, annoyed. "She's only here for the summer." He said, still fixated on the television. "Stop being so dramatic."

Tears gathered in Olivia's eyes. How did they come to this? "I'm your wife, Sebastian. You don't just send our daughter away so you can bring your mistress to live in our home."

"My house, my rules Olivia." Sebastian said, not even bothering to look at her.

Caroline, Sebastian's mistress, turned to look at Olivia, smirking mockingly. Already saddened by her daughter's departure, Olivia left them alone, choosing to spend the rest of the day in isolation.

For the first time since she got married, she contemplated a divorce. She never considered it before because she wanted Laurel to grow up with a father, but she was starting to realize that her sanity was more important. Additionally, Olivia was a housewife. Divorcing Sebastian would mean starting afresh.

Olivia took her time to dress for the party, wearing a red mini dress and designer shades. Sebastian and Caroline were in his bedroom so nobody saw her leave.

Her driver took her to the Gambinos, where she was allowed entrance after showing the bouncers her invitation. The party was at its peak when Olivia walked in. Everyone looked like they were having the time of their lives, but Olivia stood, confused. She had never been to a party like that before.

After a while, people started trying to dance with her. Olivia made her way to the bar.

The bartender whistled when she saw Olivia. "You're a blonde bombshell." The tattooed woman said. "Looking for somebody?"

"No." Olivia replied.

She looked at the crowd. How would she find Desmond?

"Here's a martini from the gentleman by your far right." The bartender served Olivia.

Olivia spotted a sturdy man, gawking at her. "Is that him?"

"Don't judge a martini by the buyer!" The bartender cried, making Olivia laugh. She would probably spend the whole night at the bar with the funny bartender, it seemed much safer.

Someone wrapped an arm around her from behind, making her turn quickly. It was him.

"You came." Desmond grinned, taking a seat beside her.

"I came." Olivia stated.

Desmond took his time to look at every inch of her body. "Damn!" He exclaimed. "You clean up nice, blondie!"

Desmond called the bartender's attention and ordered the most expensive cocktail for Olivia.

"I don't drink." Olivia declined.

"That changes today."

Olivia did not reply, she simply stared at Desmond, intrigued by his confidence.

"So, what do you do?" Desmond asked as they waited for her drink.

"Um, I'm a housewife." Olivia replied awkwardly.

Olivia graduated with great grades, so getting a job would have been easy, but Sebastian had other plans. He wanted her to dedicate her time to their home while he worked. Olivia would always regret conceding to his wishes.

After Olivia finished her cocktail, Desmond led her away from the bar.

"Where are we going?!" She shouted, hoping he could hear her above the music.

"To my section!" Desmond replied.

Desmond led her to the VIP section, which was guarded by two bouncers. Three men and a woman were already seated.

"Desmond! Where have you been?" One of the men asked.

"I went to find a friend." Desmond said, taking a seat. Olivia sat closely beside him.

"I could find her in a minute." Another man said, leering at Olivia.

"That's Rob, the birthday boy." Desmond introduced Olivia to his friend.

Rob, a familiar looking redhead, grinned. "That's me."

Olivia felt like she had seen him before, but she was unsure. "Happy Birthday, Rob."

"Say it again while jiggling your tits." The man who had been leering at Olivia said.

"Are you stupid?" Desmond snapped.

"I was only suggesting---"

Desmond did not let the man speak. "Don't make such suggestions, you moron, she's not a hooker." Desmond spoke angrily.

"She looks like one." The man muttered.

"Your mother is a hooker." Olivia fired back, not knowing where she got the courage. Perhaps the alcohol was already working.

The man stood to face her, enraged.

"How dare you?"

Desmond quickly stood between Olivia and the man. "How dare you?" He challenged.

"Can you guys relax?" The other lady seated with them spoke.

The bouncers quickly separated the two men before it got violent.

Desmond wrapped a protective arm around Olivia. "Do you dance?" He asked.

"Not really." Olivia replied.

Desmond grinned. "You'll learn tonight."

Desmond led Olivia to the dance floor, brushing off any hands that strayed towards her.

"I'm charming, aren't I?" Desmond smirked.

Olivia scoffed. "I'm a married woman." She said. "Your charms are wasted on me."

Desmond pulled her close to his body placing his hands on her hips. Olivia clung close to him, moving to the music.

Dancing and taking shots after shots of drinks, Olivia finally understood what it meant to "have fun and let loose."

Olivia attempted to grab another drink, but Desmond stopped her.

"That's enough. You're drunk." He reprimanded.

Olivia laughed. "I'm perfectly fine."

Desmond raised three fingers. "How many fingers am I holding up?"

"Three!" Olivia answered confidently.

Desmond smiled. "You're alright." He pulled her to his chest. "But please, no more drinking."

Olivia looked up at Desmond. He had to be the most attractive man she had ever met. His body was muscular in all the right places and his face was just gorgeous.

Desmond would not stop staring at her lips, almost like he was wondering whether or not he should kiss them.

Their eyes were locked on each other, blue orbs against blue orbs. Desmond hesitated. He needed consent to kiss her, she was a married woman after all. Olivia nodded, telling him it was alright.

Desmond covered her lips with his. Her lips parted eagerly, allowing his tongue to caress hers. He cupped her face with one hand, while the other hand roamed her body. Olivia could not remember the last time she was kissed like that. Desmond was arousing desires she had not felt in a long time.

Desmond paused to speak, his eyes gleaming with desire. "Do you want to come with me?"

Olivia nodded.

"Do you like it?" Desmond asked as they walked into a large, beautifully furnished room.

Olivia nodded, then sat at the edge of the bed.

Desmond stood before her, caressing her cheek. "You're beautiful."

Olivia kissed him this time, pulling him onto her body.

Desmond swiftly took off his shirt, then unzipped her dress, revealing her breasts. Olivia smiled shyly. She had only ever had sex with Sebastian.

Desmond took her nipple in his mouth, stroking it with his tongue, only stopping to stroke the other nipple.

He raised his head to look at Olivia, whose legs were already wrapped around his hips. "Are you sure?" He asked.

Olivia kissed him deeply. "I want you."

Olivia's moans filled the room as Desmond slowly thrusted into her, taking her on a ride she would never forget.
