"You okay?" he asked mildly. "You look red."
"I AM FINE."

She cleared her throat immediately.
"I'm fine," she repeated, much lower.
He tilted his head slightly, studying her face.
"…Interesting reaction."
"You just said you were tied up for a week!" she hissed.
"Yes."
Her ears flattened.
"Why?!"
"Long story."
"Lux."
He sighed lightly.
"They were worried."
"…So they tied you up?"
"Yes."
"That's not how worry works."
"It worked for them."
