Rava sighed, set the cloth aside, and picked up the spoon.
"Sit still," she said.
"I literally cannot move."
"Good."
She scooped soup and brought it to his lips.
Lux glared at it for a second.
Then sighed and opened his mouth.
It tasted… good. Rich. Grounding. Mira's work, no doubt. Herbs that soothed the core. Protein that rebuilt muscle. Mana threads woven carefully through the broth.
Rava fed him slowly.
Between bites, she said quietly, "You scared us."
Lux swallowed.
"I know."
"You don't get to do that again."
"I—"
"You don't," she repeated, voice firmer now. "You don't get to decide alone. Not anymore."
He stared at her, something heavy settling in his chest.
"…Okay," he said finally.
She paused, surprised.
Then smiled faintly.
"Good," she said, and fed him another spoonful.
