Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: A Hero’s First Day

The night sky was calm, moonlight spilling over the rooftops of New York City. Adrian soared across the air, his black-and-red suit reflecting brief streaks of red lightning as he zipped between buildings using his newly integrated grappling hook launcher. Float helped him slow his descent when needed, gliding over the streets below with eerie smoothness.

"Hey Peter, how's the suit performance on your end?" Adrian spoke through the earpiece.

"It's working, but we'll need to tweak a few things," Peter replied. "If you're floating too long and fire the grappling hook, the wires get tangled or misfire. We've gotta fine-tune the angle sensors and trajectory math."

Adrian let out a sigh as he descended onto a rooftop. "Makes sense. Still frustrating though."

As he landed, he caught the sound of a scuffle.

"Please man, I don't have any money!"

Peering down, Adrian spotted three thugs cornering a man in an alley.

"Well, that's convenient."

He leapt down, activating 5% of One For All. A burst of red lightning crackled around him as he landed with a thud, releasing a puff of pink smoke from his custom smoke emitter. The thugs froze.

"Ouch... really need to work on my landings," Adrian muttered.

The three looked up, faces twisted in confusion and fear at the figure before them: a sleek, black armored suit with crimson-red accents glowing faintly, and eyes hidden behind a voice-modulated visor.

"We can do this the easy way… or the hard way."

"What the hell?!" one thug shouted before all three rushed him.

Scene: Adrian vs. the Thugs

"You guys never pick the easy way. Typical."

Adrian weaved through their attacks. The first swung a pipe—Adrian ducked, grabbed his wrist, and flipped him into a pile of trash bags. The second tried a flying punch. Adrian phased through him using Permeation and appeared behind, tapping the back of his neck. "Tag."

With a quick jab, the guy was out cold.

The third thug pulled a knife—Adrian fired a burst of pink smoke at his face, blinding him. Then, a swift knee to the gut followed by a palm strike to the head dropped him.

"Well, that was easier than math class," Adrian quipped, brushing himself off.

He turned to the frightened victim. "Hey man, you good?"

The man nodded nervously. "Y-yeah. Thank you."

"Good. Get home safe. My job's just starting."

With a click of his grappling hook, Adrian shot up and activated Float to launch himself into the air, gliding off toward the city lights.

Montage: Adrian's First Night Out

Adrian stopping a car theft in progress, yanking the thief out with a perfectly timed swing.

Saving a cat from a fire escape.

Disabling a small-time gun deal with a burst of pink smoke and a series of pressure point strikes.

Assisting firefighters at a burning building, using Float to carry out a trapped resident.

Back at HQ, Adrian landed on a nearby rooftop.

"Peter... this night is way longer than I thought."

"Yeah, well, I did some digging while you were playing Batman."

"Rude."

"There's a weapon deal going down at the shipyard. High-tech stuff. Might be your first real test."

Adrian sighed. "Are we ready for this? It's still our first night."

"With your strength? We've got a shot."

Adrian hesitated, then nodded. "Alright. I'm in."

At the Shipyard

Adrian crouched atop a stack of shipping containers. He could hear the guards talking.

"You hear about that guy, Shadow Wolf?"

"Yeah. Ripped open a car like a tin can. Jumps outta shadows—kills, disappears. Creepy dude."

"Hope he's not here tonight."

"Peter, you getting this?"

"Yeah. Give me a minute, I'm trying to tap into the shipyard's network."

Adrian scanned the layout using High Specs. The world slowed down. He saw every guard's route, calculated the timing between their patrols, and spotted the blind spots.

"Let me calculate this..."

He mapped a path: silence two guards near the crates, then use Smoke Screen to blind the patrol squad, Permeate through a metal door, disable the generator, then Float across the open yard and knock out the leader.

He executed the plan flawlessly. The pink smoke hissed out, causing chaos. Adrian used his quirks in perfect sync:

High Specs for predicting movement.

Permeation to pass through barriers.

Float to soar across the gaps.

One For All to deliver stunning strikes.

Adrian moved like a ghost, a red-and-black blur, leaving unconscious bodies and unanswered questions.

Finally, the yard was quiet.

"Well, that was a productive night," he said with a grin.

"Hold it," a voice rang out.

Adrian froze. He turned slowly.

Standing beneath a spotlight was a man clad in white tactical armor, a crescent moon on his forehead. A cape flowed behind him.

"What the fuck

"We see Moon Knight Standing on top of a building," the man said coolly.

Adrian blinked behind his visor. "You've gotta be kidding me."
