Chapter 13 - 4 .1 chapter

A pause. Then the dragon soul let out a long, theatrical sigh:

"Hmph. Fine, fine. Just don't die too quickly. I waited a long time for this, and I'd rather not spend another thousand years babysitting some other Royals Demon fools."

Fen Hao's lips twitched.

"Why do you want to see me… and what do you want from me?" he asked, then added with a quiet grin, "You're very… talkative, for a soul."

"Talkative? Hah! When you're stuck for a few millennia, you learn to amuse yourself," the dragon sniffed, then added, his tone dropping slightly:

"Remember I told you that you have a double bloodline? Well, this world has some bloodline talents tied to those ancient roots. Your immortal bloodline's talent is your knowledge sea—it allows you to open that sea before you ascend to the immortal realm. It also lets you create a separate space within your mind to store things—like a living thing storage ring."

Fen Hao blinked, absorbing this new revelation.

The dragon's tone turned quiet, almost pained:

After observing Fen Hao's expression, the dragon muttered to himself, "Ha… which fool allowed this devil cub to roam like a blind wanderer? "He paused, a soft, almost amused sigh in his voice." Hmph… boy, are you sure your parents loved you? Let's get to the main point."

" As for the matter ,I want to borrow that power. To break free from this place… to recover my body… and finally go home."

A flicker of understanding crossed Fen Hao's mind, a thread of sympathy for this ancient soul that was now a part of him.

"Alright," he thought. "We'll do it together."

The altar's light flared, blinding white for a moment—then the dragon's soul sank into Fen Hao's forehead skin, slipping away like a sigh on the wind.

When the glow faded, Fen Hao stood there, breathing hard but unbroken.

Suddenly, a powerful wave of energy burst from him—a surge so intense that everyone present felt its pressure wash over them.

The old man's soul in the corner murmured softly, voice tinged with awe:

"Oh… The Demon God is born."

Even the Demon Lord's eyes widened as he watched the silver-haired figure standing in the altar's glow.

"It's… the bloodline's surpassing," he whispered.

Fen Hao's hair shimmered silver for a heartbeat, eyes flickering red before returning to their usual calm blue.

He drew a breath, resolve settling in his eyes.

A low chuckle echoed in his mind, the dragon's voice dripping with amusement:

"Oh… is that the girl you hooked up with? She is indeed beautiful."

Fen Hao flushed slightly, eyes narrowing.

"Dragon… what the hell—how can you speak to me?"

"Fool," the dragon sniffed, his tone almost playful. "I am in your knowledge sea. Of course I can talk to you. Don't worry—only you can hear me."

Fen Hao sighed.

"Of course… By the way, dragon—you said you're from the Chaos Realm. So are you one of those ancient enemies described in the history books of the immortal realm?"

The dragon let out an indignant snort:

"The hell with 'enemy'! Oh man… am I stuck with a fool who only has power and no brain?"

Fen Hao frowned, about to protest—

But the dragon cut him off, voice tinged with wry amusement:

"Listen well, boy. Let's start with your so-called realms…"

And in that quiet pause, Fen Hao knew the true journey was only just beginning.
