Within his office, Hercule was rehearsing for a press conference he had his assistant scheduled on such short notice. Hercule was more enthusiastic than ever to reveal Mito's existence to the public with a cover story. Originally, he planned to have Mito appear as Cell himself, but the color difference would raise some unwanted questions, so he decided against it. Instead, he decided to come up with a different story that he knows the public will believe. Hercule looks at various notes and he even has a script written out. He wants to say the right things and not mess it all up. Sure, he can improvise like he has before, but he doesn't want to really rely on it. He wants to ensure he can make an effective cover story for Mito's existence to get him into society. It had been a day since Hercule got the news about Mito's arrival and since then he'd been hard at work. He's confident that this press conference will go well. With everything set and his rehearsing done, he sighs. He places the papers he held down before grabbing his phone.
He scrolls through his contacts and finds Gohan's number. He then call's Gohan. It takes a few seconds but Gohan answers.
"Hey, Hercule. Need something?" Gohan asks.
"The Press Conference about Mito is today. Could you get him for me and bring him to the conference. I want to have him there to better send the message." Hercule said.
"Sure! I can do that. It'll be a bit though. The Lookout is quite a bit away." Gohan said.
"Well, I know. But you're faster than light! I have confidence you'll grab Mito and get back in no time." Hercule said, no ounce of concern.
"Well, alright. Where is the conference?" Gohan asks.
"Hercule City. Shouldn't miss it, I'm told there'll be a large crowd." Hercule said.
"Got it! I'll get there as soon as i can." Gohan said.
"I would say take your time, but i am on a time limit. Not a major one, so don't worry." Hercule said.
With that, the call ends. Hercule puts his phone away and calms his nerves with a breathing technique. He then walks towards the door and opens it to find his assistant waiting.
"Ready to go sir?" The Assistant asks.
"Sure am." Hercule said.
The two made their way to a limo and quickly headed off to the press conference which was being held elsewhere to better accommodate the number of people. When they arrived, Hercule could see a massive crowd of reporters and fans. The limo pulls up to a stage where various bodyguards are waiting. One of the guards walks up and opens the door of the limo for Hercule. Hercule steps out of the limo and pictures are taken in an instant. The flashing cameras don't startle or faze Hercule, he's dealt with this before. He gives a few waves as he walks up to the stage. He walks up the stairs and walks across the stage to the podium. Once he reaches it, reporters begin asking all kinds of questions about the sudden press conference. He silences them by simply putting his hand out in front of him. They respect him enough to calm down and go quiet.
"Now I'm sure you all are curious about this sudden conference. But i assure you that this conference will change the world." Hercule said.
This gained the curiosity and intrigue of everyone. So, he continues.
"Just a day ago, I encountered a being of immense power. But don't fret, he wasn't a villain. However, I was very on the fence about him considering his origins to a certain villain I've faced in the past." Hercule explains.
The press is curious as to who he means.
"Hercule Sir, you're saying that a fresh encounter with a powerful opponent is in relation to a villain of the past?" The Reporter asks.
"Correct. But like I said there's no need to fret, he comes in peace." Hercule said.
Hercule noticed something in the sky, so he looked up and saw Mito flying over. Mito decided to go alone against Gohan's wishes. Gohan was following him but once Gohan saw the crowd he flew down to the ground and landed just a bit away and then started running to the conference.
"Speaking of which, here he comes now." Hercule said.
The crowd turns around and freaks out when they see Mito flying in. Mito lands beside Hercule with his back turned to the crowd. Mito then turns around dramatically. The crowd is terrified and Hercule sees this.
"Now, now. There's no need to be worried or concerned. He may look like Cell, but I can confirm to you that he is not. This is Mito, the brother of the devious villain whom I vanquished all those years ago." Hercule explains. "We encountered one another and to my surprise he was fully pure of heart. So being the nice and generous person I am, I gave him an offer he couldn't refuse. Become my pupil and help me protect this planet from people like Cell!"
Silence. That's all that followed. Hercule began to sweat nervously before a round of applause came in. The people were glad that they had another protector like Hercule around.
"Amazing!"
"Another Hero, what are the chances!"
Hercule breathed a sigh of relief as did Gohan who watched from behind the crowd. It worked. Thank goodness. As the press conference calmed down, things were called off as the reporters went off to do their job. Hercule stood off to the side alone with Mito and Gohan.
"I can't thank you enough, Hercule. Now, Mito can wonder around the Earth without having to worry about causing a panic." Gohan spoke.
"It was nothing Gohan. I'm just glad to be doing my part to keep this world safe. U-unlike previously." Hercule said, a little ashamed of his actions.
Hercule originally didn't think twice about fame, but now that he's gotten to know and befriend the Z Fighters, ideally Gohan, he begins to slightly regret his actions. Slightly. He still likes fame but will do his best to help the Z Fighters when needed. Hercule looks at Mito and holds a handout.
"Sorry for not formally introducing myself before." Hercule said.
Mito grabs his hand and shakes it.
"All is well, Hercule. I do appreciate your assistance." Mito said.
"Like I said, glad I could help." Hercule said before getting closer to Mito and whispering. "Just expect a lot of fame and popularity in the future."
Mito nods with a humored expression. Hercule then turns to walk away but not before he waves the two goodbye.
"Well, I gotta get going. I got important things to take care of. See you two later." Hercule said.
Hercule then walks away towards his limousine which he climbs into. Shortly after, it drives off. Gohan and Mito remained. Mito then looked out into the distance after he felt something. Gohan sees this.
"What's wrong?" Gohan asks.
"I've got a bad feeling, and I don't like it." Mito said.
[Meanwhile, Gero's Ultra Hyper Super-Secret lab]
Within Gero's Ultra Hyper Super-Secret Lab, a pod in the lab lit up. On the pod was the number 21, the same pod that was in the same lab as the one Mito woke up in. I mean, I did give it the lab the same name, so don't think that there's two labs! Oh shit, getting off topic. Anyway. The pod lets out a hissing sound as steam emits from it. The hatch pops open and slowly rises dramatically. Once the pod is fully opened, the figure inside steps out and their feet touch the cold ground of the lab. They inhale and exhale before they open their eyes with a satisfied smile.
"It's about time." Android 21 said.
