Chapter 352 - Chapter 352 : How strong is Alex?

Thanos looked at his opponent from the same universe with great interest.

"I never expected someone like you to exist in our universe. I underestimated you before."

He raised his head, gazing at the dense swarm of Spider-Men in the sky.

They loomed like a storm cloud, blotting out the heavens. Each Spider-Man wore his iconic red-and-black suit, interwoven like a massive spider web stretching across the skyline.

"It's truly a spectacle," Thanos murmured in awe. "With power like this, and you're content to stay on a small planet? This must be the extent of your strength." He spoke to Alex Ray with thinly veiled contempt.

It was the first time Thanos had ever seen so many costumed warriors resembling spiders. Though the sight amused him, he felt no fear—these little spiders, to him, were mere distractions.

While not individually powerful, the Spider-Men together were a formidable force. If they wished, they could raze entire worlds. And yet, Thanos, the Mad Titan, had never heard of such an alliance before. This meant only one thing—his opponent, Alex Ray, was far more elusive than anticipated.

"You've been hiding quite well," Thanos remarked. "Is this your full strength?" He asked as if he already knew the answer.

"No wonder you managed to destroy my Chitauri forces and defeat my lieutenants," Thanos muttered to himself, not giving Alex a chance to speak. "Still, if they all die here, you'd be heartbroken, wouldn't you?"

He continued coldly, "But I doubt you'll get the chance to mourn. Because this place will soon become the grave for you and your little spider army."

Alex raised an eyebrow at Thanos' arrogance. When did he say the Spider-Man Alliance was his only trump card? He hadn't even called on the warriors from Hell's Kitchen yet, let alone the mutants.

He hadn't said a word, and yet Thanos was monologuing like he'd already won. Honestly, Alex didn't think Thanos was worth mobilizing all of Hell's Kitchen.

At this stage in the universe, there were few threats worthy of such a call—and Thanos wasn't one of them.

Alex noted that this Thanos had a very different personality compared to the one he'd fought before. This one was utterly self-obsessed.

But the moment passed quickly—Thanos wasn't about to let Alex continue pondering.

A sudden, violent surge of cosmic energy erupted from Thanos.

He raised his hand, and a massive energy sphere began to coalesce in his palm.

It glowed blindingly bright, like a collapsing star moments from detonation.

"Let me see what kind of power you've been hiding!" Thanos roared, hurling the energy sphere at Alex and the horde of Spider-Men.

This wasn't just any energy—it was the destructive fusion of the Reality Stone and the Power Stone.

Alex didn't flinch.

He appeared in front of the energy ball in a flash, calmly drawing a golden ring in midair.

The ring expanded instantly, wrapping around the incoming energy.

Then, it began to rotate—slowly at first, then faster, forming a swirling vortex that absorbed the sphere entirely.

Within seconds, the devastating power vanished into the void.

Alex looked at Thanos with a smirk, eyes gleaming with mockery.

"You're not the only one with Infinity Stones," he said calmly.

He inhaled deeply, releasing a wave of energy. But unlike Thanos' violent aura, Alex's was soothing, radiant—like a flowing stream washing over the scorched battlefield.

Steve Rogers watched in awe as the immense pressure between the two cosmic beings escalated.

"This isn't our fight," Steve yelled. "Get back! Everyone, fall back now or you're going to die!"

At his command, the Avengers bolted in all directions, creating distance between themselves and the dueling titans.

Thanos' army sensed the shift too. Panic rippled through their ranks as they turned tail, retreating from the confrontation. Even their aerial warships veered away, engines roaring in desperate retreat.

In the blink of an eye, a five-kilometer radius surrounding Alex became an uninhabited zone.

If a satellite had captured it, the image would have been almost comical:

A wide, empty battlefield centered on two figures—Alex Ray and Thanos—with everything else, armies and ships alike, clustered along the edge like frightened animals.

Thanks to the Spider-Man Alliance holding the line, the Avengers had a moment to regroup and observe the impending clash.

"This battle will decide the fate of everything," the older Tony Stark said grimly, his voice hollow with awe.

"It's terrifying," Hawkeye whispered. "We've seen what Thanos is capable of... but Alex Ray? Every time I see him fight, it resets everything I thought I knew about strength. If someone had told me a human could rival Thanos, I'd have locked them up. But he didn't just match him—he beat one before. He's not just strong... he's something else entirely."

"Yeah," Steve muttered. "Alex Ray from that other universe... he keeps redefining what's possible. It's like the world moved on without me. I'm obsolete."

Steve wasn't the kind of man to admit defeat easily. But in the face of Alex's overwhelming presence, even he couldn't deny reality.

"I'm curious," Steve added. "What are the limits of Alex's power? He fought Thanos without the Stones once, and we thought that was his peak."

"But now... now he's countering a Thanos who has the Stones. And it still looks easy."

Doctor Strange stepped forward, brow furrowed. He wasn't from Alex's universe—but the other version of him was. He turned to that man now.

"Can you answer that, Strange?" he asked the alternate version, the only one who hadn't fought Alex directly.

Everyone turned toward him—this Strange who'd spent more time observing than fighting.

Of course he'd slacked off again. The moment backup arrived, he'd clutched his shoulder and claimed to be injured.

Now, he regretted it. If he'd known he'd draw this much attention, he might've just joined the front lines.

"I honestly don't know how strong Alex Ray is," Strange admitted with a helpless expression. "Each time he reveals his power, it's stronger than before."

Seeing the disappointed looks around him, he added, "But I do know this—he doesn't seem satisfied with his own strength. It's like he's aware that even greater threats are coming. Something's chasing him... something forcing him to grow stronger. And it's dragging all of us along with him."
