Chapter 6 - Taking action(2)

"Why are you staring at me, Fugaku?" The boy's voice rang out arrogantly.

Around him, several kunoichi reacted instantly—eyes shining, breaths quickening.

"So domineering…"

"He even calls the clan leader by his name."

"Lord Rin is amazing…"

Whispers of praise echoed through the corridor.

The sound snapped me back to reality.

I looked at Rin again—properly this time.

And then I saw it. Layers upon layers of debuffs and buffs wrapped around everyone present.

Reduced intelligence.

Heightened emotional dependence.

Artificial admiration.

Female shinobi afflicted with forced affection.

Five separate abnormal effects.

"…So that's how you do it," I thought coldly.

First things first let's remove your support.

Everyone's eyes cleared, and their expressions changed. Confusion replaced blind admiration.

I stepped forward.

"Uchiha Rin," I said calmly, "your actions are reckless and irresponsible."

Everyone turned to look at me.

"During wartime, price inflation is expected.

The Security Force has no right to control prices in the village."

Murmurs rose.

"Arresting civilians without due process."

"Calling the Hokage's son a spy during an active war."

"You nearly destabilized the village. Do you want to reble"

Rin opened his mouth to argue, but he didn't have any reply to Fugaku's questions. His face darkened, and for the first time, hesitation flickered across his face. But then he remembered the plot about clan annihilation, and his eyes became confident again.

"You're just a dog of Konoha," Rin spat suddenly.

"A puppet who waits for approval before acting. Someone like you shouldn't be clan leader."

"All of my actions were for the clan."

The corridor fell silent. Several Uchiha clenched their fists in rage.

If I were not a transmigrator like him, then this would have been his shining moment.

The righteous rebel.

The fearless challenge to the clan leader and the village itself.

But now—with the debuffs gone—

It was nothing but arrogance.

I smiled faintly.

Calling the clan leader a dog…

That's an insult to the entire Uchiha Clan.

Looking at the angry faces of the clan ninja, I smiled.

System notifications chimed quietly.

[Congratulations for Suppressing a Transmigrator.]

[Points gained: 100]

Again.

[Continued suppression detected.]

[Points gained: 100]

In total—600 points. Not much, but enough to confirm something.

I raised my hand.

"Uchiha Rin," I said evenly, "your actions have damaged the clan's reputation and threatened village stability."

"According to clan law—"

"You are sentenced to one year of imprisonment in the clan prison, and will wait for further judgment."

Rin didn't respond immediately.

He looked around.

The kunoichi who once gazed at him with desire were now avoiding his eyes.

Faces flushed—not with affection, but shame.

They thought to themselves:

What got into us, acting like this with a man we barely had any contact with? And worse—he was even younger than us.

He looked at the women beside him in confusion. Weren't they supposed to support me? Why are they avoiding my gaze now?

Panic finally surfaced on his face.

Then he looked at the men who had openly spoken of rebellion, of killing the Third Hokage.

Their faces were pale, and they avoided his gaze. Inside, they were scolding themselves.

What happened to us? Why did we say those words and support this madman? If those words leak, no one can stop us from being labeled traitors—and executed.

One shinobi snapped back to his senses and walked toward Rin.

Rin stared at him, stunned.

"What… happened?" he muttered, noticing the man approaching him.

"By order of the Clan Head," the guard said coldly.

"You will be detained." Hearing his words Rin laughed.

A loud, unhinged laugh.

He tried to imitate the Uchiha mad laughter style—but failed.

It sounded hollow. Ridiculous.

Several people stepped back instinctively.

"…He's lost it," someone whispered.

Then Rin's exploded with power.

Flames engulfed his body, spiraling violently around him.

Fire—but not chakra-based.

"…This isn't ninjutsu," I realized. It looks like Devil Fruit ability?

Interesting.

"Come outside. This is no place for a fight." I said to him

Rin didn't say another word.

He simply turned—and walked out on his own, flames licking the walls as the guards hesitated.

"…What an attitude," I thought calmly.
