The bell for the class rang and all the students scramble about to get to their next class. Venti turned towards Aether with a curious gaze, "You are a new transfer student right? Albedo we must befriend him through a lunch invite."
"Uhh..thank you. I appreciate that." Aether accepted awkwardly, still pondering upon the Venti guys talking style. Did this dude just rhyme? Well that was sad rhyming.
"Oh yeah, feel free to come along, Aether. I'm Albedo and this is Venti, I hope you don't mind accompanying us." Albedo smiled as they got up for the next class.
The rest of the day went well. Albedo and Venti really helped Aether out on his first day. Although Albedo was usually lost in thought, he had a wonderful understanding of arts and crafts. He was at the top in university regarding this area of expertise.
Venti, despite rhyming poorly throughout their whole conversation, was actually good at poetry. He has won several awards as well. Something tells Aether that he is being adopted by overachievers.
"Oh how delightful, a new addition to our bunch." Venti sing-songed as he picked a tray for food "Hmm now what nosh shall I munch?"
Aether snorted at these ridiculous rhymes.
"Don't mind him, he likes making a fool out of himself anyways." Albedo smiled at Aether understandingly.
"Hey! How dare you ridicule my rhyming you uncultured swine!"
Albedo and Aether chuckled as they made their way towards the table.
They were at the cafeteria, done with almost all of their classes for Monday. Aether still had a lecture after lunch but Venti and Albedo were done for today. Aether lamented internally at his demise of attending a lecture alone. These guys made him feel less awkward for some reason, he thought as they sat down for lunch.
"So Aether's, how do you like the university so far? Anything you find uncomfortable or difficult?" Albedo asked as he put curry on his rice.
"Everything is going great so far! Except the morning rush" Aether chuckled embarrassed" I would've never made it if it weren't for my sister."
"Ohh you have a sister. How lucky." Venti said while munching on his apple "I've always wanted a sister but I got a grumpy brother instead."
"Oh that reminds me, isn't he gonna come today? Hasn't he missed his classes enough?" Albedo looks at Venti with a questioning gaze.
"You know how he is. " Venti sulked "He never tells me anything."
Oh, no more rhyming this time Aether thought and smirked at Venti meaningfully.
"Hey I know what you're thinking. I don't rhyme the entire time okay?" Venti pouted cutely.
"Okay okay I didn't say anything" Aether laughed as Albedo joined in.
"Wow look at you guys joining forces and already bullying me." Venti pouted again.
"Oh by the way, will you be okay for your next class Aether? Want me to join you?" Albedo smiled at Aether.
"No no, it's totally okay. I've got this." Aether replied reassuringly.
Before Albedo could say something, the bell rang and Aether excused himself for the next class. They exchanged numbers and Aether went on his way to his physical education class. These guys are super nice so he's sure his university days are going to be amazing.

Aether just wants to know what crime he has committed to be treated this way by the universe. Out of all days, it had to be TODAY to rain when his only friends and Lumine had to go home earlier. He remembers Venti mentioning that he lives in the dorms but he's too shy to call him for help on the very first day.
'It's okay Aether', he tells himself internally, 'You can do it, the bus stop is only a 15 minute walk so running there would make it faster. Plus the rain isn't that strong.'
Just as he thinks this, the thunder roars and the rain pours down stronger.
He mourns internally and is contemplating jumping into the rain when someone taps on his shoulder. He cries out with a start and spins around. He's met with curious amber eyes.
"Oh sorry you scared me." Aether breaths out and smiles awkwardly towards the stranger. They guy is fairly good looking, no scratch that, he's very handsome and the teal undertones in his hair enhances the beauty of his pretty amber eyes. Aether is visibly staring so he shakes his head to bring himself back to reality. Aether peeks at the guy again and he looks amused as he asks" Where are you heading?"
"Ah, just the bus station by the junction on the right." Aether makes an awkward pointing pose towards his right.
"I'm headed the same way so you can join me." The mysterious guy mutters as he opens up his umbrella.
"Really? You're a lifesaver, I was preparing myself to get drenched." Aether chuckles awkwardly. The guy takes a step in the rain wordlessly with his umbrella open and looks as Aether expectantly. Aether doesn't waste time joining him and mutters a thanks again. The trip to the bus station is awkward as the guy doesn't even speak a word and looks ahead. Aether figures that he is not much of a talker so he doesn't try to make small talk. Before he realizes, they are already at the bus stop. Aether looks at the guy thankfully and expresses his thanks again which is met with a simple "mhm" from the guy. The bus arrives and Aether climbs in but he suddenly remembers something and spins around but the guy is already walking away. Aether takes a seat in the bus and contemplates on not asking the guy for his name at least. Oh well, not like they are gonna meet again or anything.
