Chapter 224 - Chapter 221: A Dream Set on Fire

Obito floated in the air, his eyes calm but burning. Then, two powerful forces descended on either side of him like meteors.

Guts.

Uchiha Madara.

Even if Madara couldn't compare to Guts in raw strength, he was still an ancient monster his combat experience rivaled Guts own.

Guts didn't say a word when he saw Madara appear beside him. He had been tracking everything through his Observation Haki the entire time.

The moment Obito looked like he was about to go ballistic and nuke the battlefield, Guts moved.

He wasn't going to let this psycho endanger anyone close to him.

Madara hesitated for only a second before lunging down from the sky.

What was going through that old bastard's mind? No one could tell.

"Are you completely insane now, Obito?" Guts asked, face deadly serious.

"What do you mean?" Obito's voice was cold.

"You keep preaching about becoming a savior, about creating some New World," Guts said, his tone dry.

"But now you're literally about to vaporize everyone. That's a hell of a version of salvation, huh?"

Obito stared at him... him, the same guy he used to eat and joke with back at the Academy.

Now he was the biggest wall standing in front of his dream: the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

The irony tasted like blood.

Every time he faced Guts, Obito felt unstable. Like those eyes were looking straight through him into the place he refused to defend.

"What the hell do you know?!" Obito suddenly roared.

"I just want to create a better world! One without war!"

"Don't make me laugh, Obito. This ain't about world peace. You're just doing all this because the girl you loved died," Guts snapped back.

"But whatever, talking won't fix you."

"Sage Art: Wood Style—Technique!"

Madara struck first.

With Hashirama's cells in him, his Sage Mode wasn't perfect but it still packed power.

Enough to suppress even the Nine Tails. If it landed, it could hurt even this version of Obito.

"Tch... You think that'll work on me? Me, who's become the second Sage of Six Paths?" Obito laughed.

He twirled his staff.

The massive wooden dragon that lunged toward him collided with his Truth-Seeking Staff only to vanish, like it had entered another dimension.

Disintegrated. Instantly.

Obito's counterattack came in a flash.

The next second, Madara was gone. Just... erased.

Guts eyes narrowed as he watched Madara be turned to dust.

No time to hesitate.

Obito raised his hand. A massive Tailed Beast Bomb formed larger than any before.

Guts vanished.

He reappeared instantly, flashing between the flowers of the Divine Tree and intercepting the bomb mid-flight.

Boom!

FOOM!

One by one, four Truth-Seeking Balls were launched like footballs into the sky by Guts' precise kicks.

Then

BOOM—PUFF—!!!

All four collided high above the clouds and exploded in a spectacle so intense, it blew apart the sky.

Illusion or not, it felt like the stars themselves were suddenly visible through the atmospheric rip.

No one had the energy to stare long.

The explosion's pressure wave slammed down like a divine fist, an invisible mountain that crushed 99% of the Shinobi Alliance into the ground.

Even Obito, floating in mid-air, felt the tremor in his bones.

And Guts? He landed like it was nothing.

Cloak billowing in the wind, grin still plastered across his face, fist clenched.

Obito's expression twisted.

"Why... you—"

He couldn't even finish the sentence.

Guts blurred and appeared in front of him, fist raised, shimmering with Advanced Conqueror's Haki.

Obito reflexively summoned a Truth-Seeking Ball shield.

"Galaxy Divide!"

Guts let loose.

A massive burst of Haki erupted from his fist, firing like an energy beam and slamming into the shield.

BOOM!

The shockwave split the sky.

Inside the Truth-Seeking Ball, Obito felt it a creeping dread in his chest.

What is this feeling?

"The shield... it's cracking?! That's not possible!" Obito's voice cracked with disbelief.

Then came the anger.

"This... this shouldn't be happening! This is impossible!"

"Oh? You think my fists have limits?" Guts tilted his head mockingly.

"Sounds like a you problem."

The Truth-Seeking Ball cracked and shattered

CRASH!

...and Guts fist slammed into Obito's face with no mercy.

"DAMN YOU, GUTS!"

Obito screamed as he flew backward like a missile breaking the sound barrier, crashing through mountain after mountain, tearing apart the land like a living nuke.

The entire battlefield trembled under the shock.

Guts landed softly, cloak swaying, eyes calm as he watched the wreckage.

Cough. Cough. Agh...

Obito dragged himself out of the rubble.

His majestic Six Paths robes?

Tattered.

His once-terrifying aura?

Gone.

What stood now wasn't the godlike savior who had terrified the Alliance.

Just a broken man who got his shit rocked.

"Why... why... why can't I still do anything to you!?" Obito roared, eyes wide with fury, voice cracking under the weight of rage and despair.

"Answer me, Guts!!!"

He had completely forgotten his original goal.

He just couldn't understand... how could he become the Sage of Six Paths, a literal god and still be powerless against this man?

"Is it so hard to understand, Obito? It's simply because I'm stronger than you and always will be."

Guts didn't hold back, saying it while tilting his head completely shattering Obito's newfound ego.

"Ha... hahahaha... so that's it..." Obito suddenly broke into a crazed laugh. His eyes lost focus.

"I get it now... You're my nemesis."

Then, like a switch flipping, the laughter stopped.

"Then I just have to kill you."

The air dropped dead silent. Killing intent poured from Obito like a flood.

"Truth-Seeking Ball."

Obito raised his hand, and the orbs multiplied in the sky, merging and splitting into an enormous swarm, then launched forward like a storm of divine retribution.

Guts, seeing the incoming attack, grinned. His body became covered in red lightning Advanced Conqueror's Haki. In this state, the Truth-Seeking Balls had no effect on him.

He calmly raised his fist and punched forward.

BOOM!

Each orb he struck exploded into nothingness, destroyed as if they were being crushed by Sage Chakra but it was pure Haki.

Obito knew this wouldn't work. It was just a distraction.

In that moment, he appeared behind Guts, Truth-Seeking Ball shaped into a sword, ready to strike.

But before he could swing

SNAP.

Guts turned with blinding speed, caught him by the neck mid-strike, and slammed him straight into the ground.

"GUGHH—!"

Obito's mouth flew open, eyes bloodshot as blood gushed from his lips.

Before he could recover, Guts lifted him by the leg like a sack of garbage and smashed him down again.

Then lifted him into the air

CRACK—!!

A punch to the gut folded him in half.

BAM!!

Followed by a spinning kick to the ribs that broke bones inward and sent him hurtling like a ragdoll.

BOOM!

Obito was dragged across the earth, smashing through hills, cliffs, and boulders his body leaving a trail of wreckage.

The newly arrived Ninja Alliance stood frozen, watching this god-tier beatdown unfold in real-time.

Jiraiya pointed at Guts with a trembling finger, sweat pouring down his face.

"Hey... is he always like this when he fights?"

"Well... I think he never changes his style haha... haha..." Minato replied, scratching his head, feeling more awkward about Obito than anything else.

'Good thing he wasn't this strong back then...' Kakashi thought grimly, eye twitching as he remembered their Academy days.

The mental image of himself getting wrecked like this in front of the whole class gave him actual trauma.

"Sensei is so amazing, right Onee-san?" Hanabi's eyes sparkled as she stared at Guts with awe, mischief in her voice.

"Y-Yeah… Sensei is really something else," Hinata finally replied, face flushed red.

---

Guts walked toward the crater, slow and steady.

Obito lay at the center, barely moving.

"You're done already?" Guts asked, crouching beside him.

"I thought you were gonna create a New World, Obito?"

Obito didn't answer immediately. His eyes flickered. Memories rushed through his mind his childhood, Kakashi, Rin, Guts. The dreams, the pain... the war.

Everything played before his eyes like a fading dream.

Then he spoke. His voice was calm, eerily calm. A stark contrast to the raging screams from earlier.

"Yeah... I gave up on that dream now, for now, I have something else I need to do," Obito said quietly, staring at Guts.

Guts eyes narrowed slightly.

"I... I have to kill you Guts. For ruining everything for me... Farewell and see you in hell."

Then he grinned manically and his body began to swell. The Truth-Seeking Balls around him surged with energy, fusing with his expanding chakra.

Guts expression finally changed.

He's going to blow himself up?

Just to kill me...?

He hadn't expected this much hatred.

To abandon even the Infinite Tsukuyomi... just to take him down?

But that moment of hesitation... that fraction of a second was all Obito needed.

And then

BOOOOOOOM!!!

White light swallowed the entire battlefield.

The sound vanished. For a moment, there was nothing... no screams, no roars. Just silence.

Then came the true impact.

A massive shockwave exploded outward. Light, heat, and chakra radiated in every direction. It was greater than even a Ten Tails Tailed Beast Bomb.

The alliance forces scrambled, pouring everything they had into defending themselves from the blast.

This explosion... it wasn't just power.

It was hatred made manifest.
