Chapter 15 - is liyu saying truth?

As we walked, a girl accidentally collided with Xiao². "That girl: Sorry, I was in a hurry ." I watched as Xiao²'s expression changed from annoyance to concern.

"It's okay. Are you okay?" I asked the girl. "That girl: Yeah, I'm okay... cough*." I frowned, noticing that she seemed unwell. "Hey, if you don't mind, come with me."

The girl nodded, and I took her to a quiet place. "Here, I bought these clothes for you. Wear them," I said, handing her a set of clothes. "Huh, miss, thank you... cough*."

I also handed her some medicine. "Here, I bought the same medicine too. What is your name, miss?"

"I'm Xiao Feng, and what's your..." The girl looked up at me with surprise. "My name is Liyu. By the way, your name sounds familiar."

I smiled. "Maybe because I'm a princess ." Liyu's eyes widened in shock, and she dropped to her knees. "What!!"

I quickly helped her up. "Here, stand up. No need to do these things." Liyu nodded, still looking stunned.

I handed her the clothes and medicine. "Change your clothes, okay? I'm waiting outside." Liyu nodded. "Okay ."

When she opened the door, I was taken aback by her beauty. "Wow, you're shining like a star ," I said, smiling.

Liyu blushed. "Thank you for helping me." I waved my hand. "It's okay, don't say thank you again and again. By the way, where are you from? Your old clothes look like you know martial arts, and it's different from here."

Liyu smiled. "I'm from the South side ." I nodded and handed her a bowl of soup. "Ohh, drink this soup before it gets cold. You may feel better."

Liyu gently nodded, and I continued. "You should take care of yourself in these days." Liyu looked down, her voice barely above a whisper. "It was my fault. I was irresponsible about it."

I smiled softly. "Okay, finish your soup and take a rest. I already paid for this room, so don't worry."

"Princess, please save me," Liyu said, dropping to her knees. "Someone is stalking me since I left my home." I quickly helped her up. "Get up, who is stalking you? Do you have any idea, and why did you leave your home?"

Liyu looked up at me with tears in her eyes. "There's my stepmom who always mistreated me, and now she wants to make me a mistress of an old man." I frowned, concerned. "What? Haven't you reported this?"

Liyu shook her head. "If I dare to do so, she will kill me for sure." I nodded thoughtfully. "Okay,( but I need to know if you're telling the truth or just making stories to get close to me.")

I decided to take a cautious approach. "Hmm, first, you should take a rest, and secondly, I'll tell you tomorrow about this. You can come with me or not, okay?" Liyu nodded, looking relieved. "Okay ."

I smiled and called for some guards. "I will post some guards here for your safety, so don't be afraid." Liyu bowed her head in gratitude. "Thank you for your kindness ".

As I left Liyu's room, I thought about my own plans for the day. I had promised Lóngzi and Xiao² that we would spend the day together. (Wonder what they're up to.)
